If you are hungry, the breakfast is limited and underwhelming in my opinion. When asked if there was a common area where my daughter and I could play cards, they recommend the breezy with no table front porch. We had a three day reservation but left after the first night. Oh, and you should feel safe because they have cameras everywhere, especially when you have to walk down the hall to the bathroom, eating breakfast, and leaving. If you have spot three in parking, pray. There are better places, choose better than I did.

I was very unsure which area to stay in, but I'm so happy I chose CCB because the location is absolutely perfect. Back Bay is very nice and safe. You even have a wonderful park just outside the doorstep to walk around, and the lovely Boston Commons only two blocks away. Check-in/out was one of the most seamless experiences I've had with hotels/airbnbs. I didn't have to check in with anyone, and I received the door code a few days before. They have a lovely dining room for guests with homemade cookies, fruit, coffee and tea. Unfortunately I didn't take advantage of the breakfast, but I'm sure it's great too. CCB is really the perfect mix of a hotel and bed/breakfast. I was unsure about doing the solo room with a shared bathroom, but other than having to wait for the other guest to finish his shower so I could take an urgent bio break, it was no issue at all and I would hands down do it again. I'm pretty sure the other floors have a bathroom if you absolutely need it though. For the location, price, comfort, and amenities, College Club of Boston is a no brainer. I got the please to quickly meet the GM on my way out, and she is super sweet. I even left my airpods in the room, and without hesitation they are shipping them back to me. 5 starts forsure.

It was super clean, cozy, and well put together. The views from the boat and marina were serene. The location was perfect. Next to the TD Gardens Sports arena, and within walking distance of Tatte Cafe, and plenty of other eateries and shops. We emerge able to experience things like Fenway Park, the duck tour, and the Boston Marathon with a quick Uber ride. Being able to come back home to our peaceful vessel to wind down was a nice comfort. Overall, very unique stay and worth it! Would recommend.

First off, I requested a 2 bathroom apartment, and was told - via the…read more phone - that ALL of the apartments were 2 bathroom. Well, the one at 113 Beacon street isn't. It's not even 1 and 1/2 bath. More like 1 and 1/8 bath. I've never seen such a tiny, cramped area described as a 1/2 bath before. When I sat on the toilet, my knees touched the far wall & my shoulder touched the sink. And I'm not a big guy. 6' - 210 lbs. So I ended up sitting diagonally on the toilet. Fortunately, as I sat there, wedged uncomfortably between toilet and wall, I was able to look at the quality of the bathroom. And I must wonder where you get your workmen, since the grout work looks like it was done with someone's finger, rather than a grouting tool. But I shouldn't complain, since at least the 1/8 bath has a fan. The upstairs bathroom does not! Well, technically, but since it doesn't actually work, I don't think that we should count that one. Now, during our stay, Boston had some chilly and some warm nights. And we suffered through both. The windows leak like sieves, and the downstairs bedroom - or 'closet' - got uncomfortably chilly. And there are no extra blankets, etc. to help with this. Then, when the weather got warm, it actually got worse. And, as I should have guessed, the windows can't be opened, since they are apparently painted shut- therefore the main living area got stuffy and warm. I would have used the overhead fan shown in the picture they sent me, except it doesn't actually exist. Another anomaly is the windows displayed in the picture. You can see the outside. The windows where we stayed at are FILTHY. I'm not actually sure that light can get in. And the blinds are disgustingly dirty also. Then there's the living area. First, the picture of the living area provided was TOTALLY MISLEADING. The TV is NOT mounted to the wall, and there are dangling wires - not in this photo though. Even the picture in their photo is hung correctly. In the apartment we were in, it's just propped up on top of the mantel. There was no attractive floor rug, just beat up and scuffed flooring. Maybe if you had brooms,etc. people could clean the floor rather than continually grind up the floors? God knows the floor was gritty from day one when we first walked in. Interestingly enough, the "seating area" by the bay window isn't in this photo either. Although none of us could sit there long since the padding on the bench is thinner than a weak cup of coffee. So I'm not even sure we stayed at the apartment that we received pictures of. And let's talk about the kitchen. In the provided photo, the sink is next to a STOVE. No so in real life! And the sink in the promotional photos has a GOLDEN faucet arm. My sink did not. As a matter of fact, my sink doesn't even have a SPRAYER, since it's been broken for god knows how long. The sprayer button is missing. The refrigerator was interesting. It NEVER stops running. EVER! But, before a repairman arrives,I hope they clean the fridge a bit, since it's rather disgusting. At least, I consider rust stains...at least I hope they're rust stains...to be unattractive. And the small white ice cube tray is cracked and broken. Fortunately, we didn't have to wash a lot of dishes, since they were already washed. And still in the dishwasher. The B&B agency must expect their clients to empty the dishwasher? And I'm not done talking about FANS. The fan upstairs cannot be legally called a fan unless it has BLADES, which it doesn't. So this didn't provide much air movement, as you might imagine. Then, we have the mirrors in the living area. A broken mirror that is "fixed" by smearing silicone caulk over it? And slightly to the right of the crack, we come to the door bell. Which has no cover, just dangly wires. Now, I have a lot of other complaints...such as the bedroom...the one downstairs is more of an oversized closet.....but I'm going to skip over that. And the fact that the apartment wasn't clean when we arrived - when the previous tenants had been gone since Sunday? Or the fact that there weren't any extra garbage bags...or that clean bedding was never delivered....eh, skip over that too, shall we? But this, I cannot skip. I've never been in a motel, hotel, house, tent, RV, or even a frat house that gave me the willies as much as their light shade does. It looks like something out of an episode of CSI: Las Vegas. And I took a picture with the light ON, so you really aren't clearly seeing the full horrific effect of the stains outer regions. I honestly believe that based on all of the above.....and the dozens of other things I didn't mention...that I should get a refund of some sort. But, based on what I saw versus what was delivered , I'm not going to hold my breath.

Next the hotel had only two out of three elevators running all day and there were high school kids going up and down the elevators like little children causing delays and crowded elevators. Then tonight after finding out the bar was closed before midnight, we go to the elevators to find another elevator is out of order with only one elevator running. DO NOT STAY AT THIS HOTEL IF YOU ARE EXPECTING LEISURE, OR IF YOU EXPECT GENERAL SERVICES (All elevators working, a bar that stays open until reasonable hours, and a true reception that is worth sitting down and relaxing with beer, or wine) THAT ARE NORMALLY OFFERED AT VIRTUALLY ALL OTHER EMBASSY SUITES. I will definitely never stay here again. It isn't worthy of the Hilton brand. Ok, had to edit again. Don't ever expect ice to be available for your breakfast time in the morning!!! What a great start to my first trip to Boston! I wanted something special, not a generic hotel…read moreroom. I fell in love with this place as soon as I saw the listing. I lucked out with a room availability and spent the next month eagerly anticipating my stay. Why? The neighborhood looked great and the room decor looked even better. From the moment my Lyft pulled up in front of the distinctive purple house I knew I'd picked the right spot. The owner is on site to check you in, answer any questions you have about where to go, and if you ask her about the area ghosts maybe she'll let you borrow the local psychic's book too. While I didn't sense any spirits myself while I walked around Charlestown, I still enoyed reading it. I loved the neighborhood. When you're in Charlestown you're in Boston but you're not IN Boston. You're a short ride or nice walk to the heart of the Italian restaurant filled North End. You can happily begin a trek down the Freedom Trail heading towards downtown and be there in less than an hour after seeing numerous historical sites. The first two Freedom Trail locations, Bunker Hill and the USS Constitution, are a short scenic stroll from the Moroccan. Along the nearby streets you'll find charming shops, tasty restaurants, and so many cute houses lining the way. It's very walkable and has a quiet neighborhood vibe that I loved much more than staying in the much noisier downtown area. And there's a convience store (777 Convenience) super close by for any beverages or snacks you'd like to stock in the fridge. As for the Moroccan itself, listed on Google and Booking as Moroccan Boutique Guest House, the rooms are all unique. The King Suite I booked is the entire 3rd floor. While I don't love a lot of stairs after a long day of walking, there's something charming about those old creaky stairs that led to my own little oasis. The house was built in 1799 if I rememeber correctly, which means you get all the hardwood floors and ceiling beams that some call wonky and others call charming. The fireplaces aren't for fire which was fine by me. The living room area had a tv, some books and magazines to read, a very comfortable couch for lounging, and kitchen with all the supplies if you wanted to buy groceries to be your own chef. Elizabeth does leave you some bowl packs of Cheerios and a small container of milk in addition to a large bottle of water. There's also a printed list of restaurant recs included with her welcome info that I loved. I already had a bunch of places bookmarked for my trip, but I assume the less Yelpy find that list incredibly helpful. The bathroom was my favorite of the trip. Spacious shower, nice tolietries, a decorative sink, and comfy bathrobes were a nice touch. The bedroom was exactly like the pictures! The bed, a giant marshmallow with soft sheets and purple drapes, king sized of course, was a dream. It was the most comfortable bed of the 4 of the trip. We missed it every time we met a new bed that was pretty meh by comparison to its softness. From the location to the furniture to decorative touches, we loved everything about this place. If you're heading to Boston check the availability. If you're lucky, there may be a room for you. The next time I head to Boston I hope my luck holds.

And if you are 6'3" or taller, the low ceiling height on doorways is going to be a problem! I'm 6'1" and barely cleared them.... The service is exactly as one would expect at this price, and they exceeded our expectations. Everything you could possibly want is provided, including all of the fixings for a gourmet Continental breakfast.

Upon arrival, he assisted with my luggage, gave me an orientation and then proceeded to share with me valuable tips on attractions, restaurants and transportation. Jon was always available by phone/text. There are two equal sized units in the Green Turtle houseboat. The rooms are similar size to a quality hotel. Comfortable bed, two chairs, side table, hutch as a closet, wet bar with microwave, small refrig w/frz & coffee maker, The Bathroom & shower with seat is great. The houseboat was exceptionally clean with all components in good working order. Amenities provided was impressive: Peets Coffee, teas, creamer, yogurt, juices, water and breakfast pastries. Jon offered to refill anything I might need. Wifi worked great, wall mounted TV with Roku, thermostatically controlled AC unit and base board manually controlled heat. Green Turtle location is AMAZING, berthed on the last dock in the Charleston Marina with sweeping views in every direction. The Marina is within walking distance to ferries, shuttles and services. The Marina houses many high-end yachts. It should be noted, the houseboat is anchored on a two-sided dock. When the other side of the dock is occupied, it impedes the panoramic view. Regardless, the view at in every direction was lovely and I enjoyed seeing the neighbor yacht up close. I highly recommend the Green Turtle!

As an adult the measure of lodging is no longer magic but instead amenities, cleanliness, service, built-in iPhone chargers, etc. I'd like to report that I've found the magic again and it's not at a grand hotel it's a delightful little floating houseboat on Boston Harbor. From walking the docks to my room at the end of the day, to waking up to the sunny reflection of the ocean dancing on the ceiling above my bed in the morning, my dulled traveler's senses were getting all kinds of new feedback. The inn keepers, Jon and Karen, are a jovial couple who've been living on a sailboat for a quarter century and have succeed in recreating the experience for their guests. Karen also happens to cook a mean breakfast (the bacon, egg, on English muffin being my favorite). My biggest take way from this experience? When planning future travels take a moment investing less traditional places to stay and if you're coming to Boston stay at the magical Green Turtle.
