WHY HE DID NOT DO THAT IN THE FIRST PLACE. He later added 10 hours of unnecessary labor he created when HE FOUND the bad engine an EBay and told me to buy it. He changed my spark plugs without my approval and charged me for it also detailed my car "said for free" but added $51.94 to the final bill. He charged me at least $1,000.00 for unnecessary work he created. If he was honest he would return the extra 10 hours he charged. *WHAT GOES AROUND COMES AROUND* . Oh! he is working from home. I guess I paid for two months of his mortgage + some. KARMA IS REAL SIR UPDATE TO HIS RESPONSE BLAH! BLAH! BLAH! He should have sent it to the machine shop in the first place. Needless to say I have spent quite a bit of time and money trying to resolve an issue I was having with no success. Then one morning I was watching the news and Kelly Curran was doing a spot on car maintenance. She was at Velocity Custom Cars in Las Vegas off of Speedway Blvd. Miguel the owner specializes in LS swaps and repair. I checked-out the website and found nothing but 5 Star ratings. I drove out to Velocity Customs shop ( I live in Henderson ) and spoke with Miguel at great length about the issues I was having with my car. He took time to listen to my problems and was very professional. I felt I like I had known him for years. I made an appointment to have him work on my car. This man is AMAZING!!! He and his shop took care of all my issues and the cost was more than reasonable. ( half of what I expected ) I have other work that I would like to do on my vehicle and you can be sure I will be taking it to Velocity Customs in Las Vegas. Got the motor back together in the car from the get go had a lot of blow by and low compression they said it needed to be ran more to seat the rings so I did so. 1000 miles later still had blow by and low compression took the motor out brought it to them they "fixed it" brought it home and had to tear it apart because the father did not know how to time my motor let alone install the timing chain correctly on the crank.... I fixed it no big deal started the motor and it was now knocking. they reused all my oil pan bolts my head bolts cam bolts. Rod bolts were loose long story short motor was trashed. they didn't give 2 shits to help fix what they initially messed up everything on that motor was bought new. thousands of dollars wasted down the drain. Do NOT!! use them for anything!

I looked across the street from where I live and there it was qwest automotive service does AC work after two days of deciding I finally called and for the first couple of days I called and then on the third day, I received a phone call the Mechanic by the name of Theo told me I've called there three times and I said yes, sir I did. I was wondering if I could get my AC serviced he asked me what's going on with the AC and I told him that in the morning the AC is cool but then in the evening time the AC is hot. He told me over the phone that he may know the issues but he needs me to come so he can dive deeper into the issue so I came and not only was he knowledgeable. He educated me and he showed me parts of the AC that was visible, which I've been too many different mechanics shops and they've never shared details about the issues with the vehicle nor did they asked me to come look under the hood with them no matter what people say about mechanics there's always a true and honest people out there, and I can truly tell you I was satisfied with the service, my AC is working. The timing chain assembly was brand new purchased for HBR. Their diagnosis was that "a bolt broke." The second rebuild the engine ran for 2 laps and spun a bearing, putting a rod through the block and bending a Bryant crankshaft in the process. This time it didn't go back to HBR and they told me a rod bolt most likely broke. They were almost new Carr bolts with about 5 4 lap heats on them. I realize race engines have no warranty but this is ridiculous. Their standard excuse a bolt broke. This review has been along time coming. David Laws

A couple of years ago I needed a person to weld some aluminum for me. I was building a dual camera…read moremount for my power wheelchair. I called a few nearby places that I found online, but all I got were receptionists. They told me to come by, drop off my material and drawings/notes, and they would need 3-5 business days. Because I was attempting to design something, I needed to interact directly with whoever was going to do the work. That's when my persistence paid off. Third place I called was John. He called me back within ten minutes, and about an hour later I was at his shop, located in his garage. I stayed in my van and he came out to patiently listen to my gobblygook explanation. Once he understood enough, he proceed to build up to a point. He then texted me to come back for a test fit and clarification on finishing my contraption. My project was complete by the next afternoon, and the price was more than fair. About a month later, I had redesigned my camera mount, and we built a second one out of steel. I was very happy with the job, and his input made my design far better than what my original idea was. I'll get some minor welding, or cutting done every now and then, and John communicates very well, works fast, and is reasonably priced. If you need a weld, or any other metal work, your best bet is to reach out to John first. I've never had him come to me, but he does mobile service too.
