    We are in the Las Vegas area and need forklift service. Called Naumann Hobbs, they sent a tech…read moreout. The inspection was pretty straight forward, need a new LPG regulator. Tech gave me an approximate price on the part and that he would have his stock person order it, he tells me it should be here next day. I say great send me a quote a formal quote via email and we can schedule install. Anyway, after waiting a few days for the quote we contact them, quote hasn't been sent, part hasn't been ordered. Quote finally comes back with some really odd markups. 2 labor charges, and one misc charge. So I call to ask some questions...Parts and labor I get. The Pending Labor charge was to cover the tech coming out, I kinda get this but 3 things: 1. They are local and they are quoting on getting the job, they didn't need to tear anything apart to figure out what the issue was. 2. This fee was not discussed when we setup the initial tech visit 3. This fee should have been collected prior to the tech doing any inspection. Next was the Misc fee. The best explanation the person on the phone could give me of what this fee covers is "if the tech breaks something and needs to pull a replacement from their van." Huh?? Your tech breaks something and I need to pay for that? Again, this was the best explanation the person on the phone gave, who by the way was the same person who created the quote. In the fine print they claim that this Misc charge isn't firm but the fact that it's in there in the first place is really odd. Now for the best part: Naumann/Hobbs claims, if you decline the repairs, they have the right to charge for a quote preparation. So lemme get this straight...You give me a quote that has some nonsense numbers on it, I question them and you can't give sufficient answers, and if I dare decline service you'll bill me which, in my opinion, is nothing more than a punitive measure for 'wasting' their time. Good luck to ya...
