Meat lover's paradise would be the best way to describe this small shop that I have been visiting…read morefor over 30 years. It was introduce to my dad through a coworker back in the 80's when he would bring goodies back from the shop on a regular basis. He then introduced it to me after I got my driver's license. After my dad retired, it became my job to stop by and pick up our favorite cuts of meat. Whenever I stop in, the gentleman who has served my dad would still ask, "How's Little Shanghai?", referring to my father lovingly. I guess that makes me "Baby Shanghai." Lol. Btw, he has no idea that my dad is 20+ his senior. He only realized when I told him my age. He also would know my order, the usual Paprika Bacon, Garlic Bacon, Meatloaf, Mini Frankfurters, and just a few pieces of their amazing Chicharron. Furthermore, I would often add on a few other items like Head Cheese, Kielbasa, Tarska Bacon, Black Forest Bacon, Smoked Pork Shoulder, Smoked Pig Feet, etc. There are just so many meaty goodies. If you are unfamiliar with Eastern European meats, just simply ask for a taste. They will gladly oblige. Prices are very reasonable. You can leave with a bag of meats for less than $30. I often leave with a large bag closer to $75-100 to enjoy for the next week. Whatever you do, just make sure you try this shop.

My mom has been coming to this chicken farm for ages. We came here recently and the service was…read morehorrendous. My mom usually prefers to buy her fresh meat utilizing cash but, she was placing a big order and didn't want to take that much cash with her. When she placed the order, she tried paying with her credit card. There was no signage noting that it was cash only or they do not accept credit card. She told the guy that she would come back later another time. She came to the car and had asked if my brother any cash. We had enough money to cover her order. She took the money and went in to pay for her order. The man began to berate her and said, "I thought you didn't have money" and started yelling at her and being rude and nasty. Another patron had said that he was the owner of the establishment. As a small business owner, you should be ashamed of yourself for yelling at your customers. If you do not have the proper signs to announce that you are only accepting cash then it's your job to tell patrons. When so many companies are struggling you need to stop acting like you are doing people a favor when they are paying you money. Also, the people working here do not wear masks when they are talking with people and preparing the livestock.

Then, beyond the disposable diapers, jolly jumpers and sippy cups; beyond the formula, teething rings and other infant paraphernalia; at the very back of the establishment lies a freezer full of fish - frozen shrimp, mussels and what appears to be dried salted cod. This place delivers what it promises. "How can you give this place five stars?!!," some might ask. To which I reply, "How can I not?" Downtown Glendale, I hope you never change. This review is for a delivery order placed through Uber Eats so your experience may differ, but I felt like the reality didn't live up to the hyped expectations. My chicken parm was $23.75.. maybe it's cheaper in person, but for that price I want the best chicken parm of my life. The bread was the best part in my opinion. The breading was coming off the chicken and the meat itself wasn't the most tender. It was fine, but not worth the price I paid through Uber Eats. I would consider going back maybe for dinner one day, the pasta looked pretty good. Don't think I'll be back for the sandwiches!
