I highly recommend Petter Built Heating and Cooling as your "go-to" repair or replacement service…read more On 6/15/21they did a complete replacement of my 2-1/2 ton and 3-1/2 ton Carrier cooling systems for my two-story home. On that day at the end of the job as I was paying the invoice, I mentioned to them that this was the best money that I have spent to maintain my home since it was first built 14 years ago. I could already tell the difference. Here are the reasons why I am so adamant about my satisfaction with and endorsement of Petter Built. They are a locally-owned small business that competes very aggressively with larger businesses. Before I selected theirs from other offers to do this major project, they came to my house and spent a lot of their time carefully listening to my situation and helping me to understand what I needed. They examined all of my existing equipment and assessed the structure of my home to help me determine the precise size and efficiency of units that I needed. They spent a lot of time going over all of this at my home without any charge and without any concern for the value of their time away from other paying customers. Then later that day, they took the information and notes they had gathered about my systems and desires and consulted with experts from the manufacturers to select the optimum system that would fit the needs of my home. They gave me a quote that evening that I thought was phenomenal for the replacement. In short, they fought for my business and won my confidence before I even committed to spend a dime with them. From the beginning they demonstrated a sincere desire to do what was best to help me. When the day came for the installation, their efforts in doing the replacement and their attention to details only further solidified my satisfaction with them as my company to trust. They went above and beyond pointing out to me all areas where this job could be done right and in a way that would provide a stable and safe system with satisfaction for me for many years to come. The best part of all was that they never tried to up- or over-sell me to get me to add more to their already phenomenal quote. If their motivation was to win a long-term customer, they were highly successful. On this, the day after my installation, with temperatures outside at 95 degrees before the heat index, my home AC system is humming along keeping two stories comfortable like it hasn't done since it was first built. And one last thing... did I forget to mention that I am a highly satisfied customer? They are a company that you can trust and I highly recommend them to anyone needing service, replacement or installation.

I called because my a/c broke, they were able to get someone out to me within an hour. Brent was able to repair it in 15 mins, it was a simple solution, and he showed me what was going on. Also he showed me there was an additional filter that needed to be replaced, and we were able to get that done too! I've had Lochridge-Priest service my a/c 3 times before and they never told me about the filter!! Plus LP charged me triple the amount Evergreen charged. So Evergreen is not only a better deal, you'll also receive better service. The next experience with Evergreen was when my Aunt's A/C broke down. This was a little more complicated, it's an old unit from 1969, but they were able to repair it! Rashad did an amazing job, replaced a few parts, and it didn't cost that much! Now her a/c is running much better than ever before! I am so pleased with this company, I recommend Evergreen to everyone in the Waco area.

I understand repairs cost money - but how much?? And don't jack up the price, then charge for coming out again. I first talked to a lady who didn't understand why they charged me TWICE without fixing squat. She said someone would call me back. The man who called me and talked to me like I was his ex-wife who may have had a side piece and got the house in the divorce, asked me if I would take this review off if the company fixed it. I said I only put down what actually happened. I didn't embellish, exaggerate, lie, bad-mouth. I stated facts. They charged me twice. He kept gaslighting me, saying no, that is not what happened. I just didn't understand this type of home repair. The company charges $90 for the estimate. I said I had already paid. He said, no, it's different. I just didn't understand. I felt like we were dating. And he still didn't tell me how much it would be. He would not commit to coming out until I agreed to take this review down. We hung up. Another lady called back about 2 hours later and said that DAZ would be happy to come out and complete the work. I still didn't get a quote. Wow! Can't even escalate well. NO THANKS! Charged 2 times and got 2 completely different estimates by 2 different people for the exact same job. The issue: hot water runs from the kitchen faucet when the water heater is on. So I mostly leave it off. I've had a lot of work done on my house. It's 100 years old and I've replaced or repaired just about everything in it. So, I know if you want the work, you have to pay a price. The first person who came out quoted me $300. I just needed to buy my own faucet because they don't sell the one I need. This trip and estimate = $89.95 GOT THE FAUCET. The second person, as soon as he gets here asks, "What did they quote you?" I told him. He said, "No. It's $389.00. But I might be able to do it for $300 if it's just the faucet." Turns out, he says he'll have to get into the wall, it might be $400, $500, $600. He won't know til he gets in there. Whoa! So...double what I was quoted? MAYBE? I told him I couldn't afford that now, thanked him. Asked him what i owed him for coming out. This trip and estimate: $89.00 He left without giving me a receipt or written estimate for what he just quoted me. Everyone was perfectly nice. But it left me asking: What was the first estimate for?
