I am a proud owner of a beautiful reading nook, 2 giant walls meticulously wall-papered (peel and stick!), and more! Archana's pricing is fair and her approach is transparent. I got a quote upfront and she set up Google trix to share items, prices, and comment access for me to say yes, no, or share something else I would like instead. She is responsive, warm, and knows her work. Thank you, Archana.

Archana is with you throughout the entire process, beginning to the very end, transitioning your house to the most comforting home. If you are on the fence, DO IT. She will work with you, and it will work out, and you will be so, so happy. Let's get into the nitty gritty (bear with me, it's a long one) - Archana is everything you could wish for in a designer, supporting your every need, every step of the way. She is creative, patient, understanding, communicative, authentically kind, and most importantly - she loves what she does. For my project, I needed some serious help with my dining room. I was at my wit's end. As you can tell in my before photos, this was a hopeless home project for me. I painted it an awful blue thinking I could do something fun with that and a hodge-podge of very random pieces scattered around thinking that would tie it together lol. What I wanted: A room for gathering with friends/family and a room I could casually lounge - with comforting, warm, inviting vibes. To start, Archana came over and spent about an hour with me - taking measurements, photos, asking questions, understanding my needs. Transparently, I didn't make this easy and came to Archana with a difficult task - after a very unfortunate surprise renovation, I had a lower budget to work with. And to make matters even more challenging I owned random mismatched furniture I didn't want to get rid of because it was either functional or important inherited pieces (dining table/benches/etc.). The cherry on top? A home built in 1906 - well over 100 years old, so a lot of aged nuances to the house with textures and wainscoting. A few challenges to say the least. Outside of my restrictive budget, I tried to give her the space she needed to work her magic. Now, gathering the furniture and decor. One thing I really appreciated about Archana is how communicative she is. She'll work with you on your preferred method - I personally preferred text. She is constantly asking me questions and sending me pieces to look at and for feedback. No pressure on responses and I reply when I have the chance to. I am frustratingly indecisive and always sharing new ideas, pivoting from a direction we thought we were going to a completely different one. She welcomed all new ideas, while still considering the big picture and staying focused. She will also ask for your preferred purchasing method. I preferred ordering the main, big pieces in case there were any issues I wanted to be the one that had my name on the order. Everything shipped to my house. Because of my low budget - she found great, affordable pieces at Homegoods, Marshall's and Ikea and sent me receipts with all her purchases for reimbursement. Those came with her on set-up day. Everything was organized and there were no surprises. I think I was pretty quick in decision making and we weren't making any structural changes. I told her my timeline isn't rushed, maybe a month. But... in TWO WEEKS we had everything we needed to complete the project!!! She said I had a pretty easy project. But still, TWO. WEEKS. Insane. She came over with her partner and spent a full Saturday/Sunday to assemble, set up, and ultimately - reveal. The biggest task was the wallpaper. Extra (extreme) labor was involved with cutting, fitting, and adhering - this was quite the significant task and major, major kudos to the power duo for installing this and how freaking amazing it turned out!!! Finally, the reveal - and love that she offers this!! I had a friend hangout at the house while I was out doing some family things. Then I came back and it was time for the reveal.... ... Speechless, in love and awe of the dining room that was and now is. Everything was of course what I expected, but it all came together beautifully. Her finishing touches were absolute perfection. The wallpaper, the decor, the reading nook - I mean are you kidding me?! To see the vision come to life - the care, the love that she puts into her work. I am so incredibly grateful for her and am so happy that I worked with this team. From her kind personality, her style, her patience, her vision - absolutely zero regrets. It's only been a couple days, but now every time I enter this room - I feel a sense of comfort and happiness. FINALLY. Thank you again Marble Home Renovations for everything you are and everything you do.

We cannot recommend Jeremy and his team enough. Our project was a full renovation of our 3 story…read moretownhouse, originally built in the mid-80's, and literally everything needed updating. My wife and I thought we had a pretty good idea of what we wanted to do and how we wanted our renovated house to look, so our original intent was to work closely with our contractor to make all the design decisions on our own. In hindsight, I'm so glad we did not go that route. It didn't take long for us to realize we were in over our heads - as the saying goes "you don't know what you don't know" and that was definitely the case here. If you want a well thought out design, taking both functionality and aesthetics into consideration while ensuring a consistent flow throughout the house, you need an expert. Fortunately for us, we found Jeremy. From our very first interaction we were impressed not just with Jeremy's knowledge and experience in design, but also the importance he placed on getting to know our tastes, priorities, and the outcome we wanted. Over the course of our project we never felt pressured to make a decision that we weren't comfortable with or that we felt didn't fit our needs. That said, Jeremy had many insights and suggestions that frankly we would not have thought of that significantly improved the final result. For example, a small tweak to our first floor design netted us noticeably more room in our kitchen, giving us more cabinet and counter space, as well as improving the flow of traffic. Jeremy is also quite knowledgeable and resourceful. Having him work closely with us in all our material selections - lighting, floors, fixtures, tile, paint, etc. made all the difference. What would have seemed overwhelming became a manageable and coordinated process. He knows which features, brands, qualities to look for. He can also tell you which decisions are important, and which not as much so. This helped us focus on important decisions and not sweat the small stuff. Lastly, Jeremy is a true design professional. He worked seamlessly with our contractors to make sure they understood and followed through with our designs. Detailed and highly professional plans, e.g., RCP, floor plans, elevations, renderings, etc. exceeded our expectations and were very much appreciated by ourselves as well as our contractor. It takes all the guesswork and ambiguity out of the execution, as should be the case. They're also extremely helpful when visiting showrooms - we were often asked how we created the plans or who made them for us. And, Jeremy was always accessible to provide feedback and suggestions 'on the fly', providing a quick sketch or rendering to help us make decisions in real-time. Bottom line, you can tell when someone has a real passion for what they do, and Jeremy has a passion for design. He is a pleasure to work with, and he knows what he's doing - I would not hesitate for a moment to hire him for your project.

Shawn took a look around, listened to what I had in mind, and thankfully told me what would or wouldn't work. He picked a beautiful quartz counter top, gave me options to choose from for the paint, faucet and hardware. He has a great team working for him. They were respectful and trustworthy. The refinished cabinets look like new. They do high quality work. He made his best effort to get things done within the time frame discussed but, as with any renovation, there were some unexpected issues that led to minor delays and affected cost. I really appreciated how his main concern was that I was happy with the end result. Before and in process photos attached (forgot to take a picture of the final product and don't want to clean the kitchen right now).

Due to unusual circumstances, we had a very tight timeline (see below for more details) so they were able to finish in 2 1/2 months. Overall, we are very happy with the end result and love our new, open layout! TL:DR version: - GREAT construction team/vendors and Fadil is the BEST project manager. Also the flooring contractor, Izec, is amazing. - Loved the design recommendations made by Shawn, like the floating shelves and bench by the window. - Pricing is competitive. Quality of work is fantastic. Designs are beautiful. - Area of improvement: better communication throughout the project. I had to be proactive and ask a lot of questions and follow up often. They offer both design and construction services, all under the same owner. This was convenient in that I only had to deal with one company and they took care of everything. Our project was unusual in that I was 6 months pregnant when we started the project. Typically, they don't start on construction until all materials are in stock but we needed to get things moving and completed quickly, so we ordered mostly standard sized and in-stock materials. The owner, Shawn, kept his promise on adhering to our timeline to the best of his ability, even as we ran into challenges with plumbing, structural, and electrical. His team worked tirelessly--even on weekends--to meet our deadline, without sacrificing quality or details. With any major construction, nothing is flawless. The one challenge I had, which may be unique to my circumstance, was getting proactive updates and just overall communication. At times, the construction team didn't even know what they were working on. Some of the designs didn't match the materials ordered. There was some miscommunication on which materials we were responsible for vs. what they would get for us. These were minor issues that eventually got resolved but it did cause me some stress and unrest. Highly recommend being proactive, with any big construction project, and staying close to the details... At the end of the day, despite some bumps, we now have our dream kitchen! And it was completed in record time! Last but not least, if you're told that any materials are "stuck" at the Oakland port, GET SOMETHING ELSE that's in stock. There is no ETA on when things will get unloaded at the dock...could be weeks or even months.
