I came here to dine the first night after a long flight from LA to NYC. My expectations were pretty high since I've heard a lot of good things about this place, but I was kind of disappointed with the food quality. My friends got the truffle mac and cheese and fish and chips, I got the mushroom flatbread with a side salad. The fish and chips were decent, but nothing extraordinary. My mushroom flatbread was dry, not enough cheese and the side salad vegetables were wilted and didn't taste very fresh. The flatbread was also pretty bland, cheese and topping ratio to bread for me was a tad bit disproportionate. I would have loved more melty cheese and mushrooms on it. However, the service was much better than the food here, and I am so grateful that they accommodated my large party of 15 people at the restaurant. The Christmas decor was also such a nice touch and added a warmth to the restaurant that I really appreciated. Please beware of the dim lights and unsanitary cutlery. I took a few sips of water only to realize my glass was covered in lipstick marks. I was so disgusted and tried to hold back the tears. While the waiter was apologetic, I don't feel that the staff did very much at all to mediate the situation. When a new glass was brought out there was lip smears on that one as well, so I just did not drink anything else or use the utensils to eat. Her friends who were at the bar began harassing us. Jenny was beyond threatening, aggressive, augmentative and dismissive. She made it clear that we were not welcomed in the establish. My friends and I visited this establishment over Halloween weekend for my birthday. We had heard so many great things about it, so we wanted to give it a try. To say we were disappointed doesn't begin to express our experience. I will begin by saying that part of my party was running very late, so we do own up to that. However, the way that our staff treated us the entire night was absolutely uncalled for. When I arrived, I was told that there was a 2 hour limit and that there was a reservation at 8:15pm for our table. I told them that I understood and that I would relay that to the rest of the party that was running late. For the entirety of the two hours that we were there, our server would not stop rushing us and bringing up how they had an 8:15pm reservation and we needed to be done by then. I understand informing us once or twice, but telling us every single time was not necessary. Not to mention that that the server had such an attitude about it. It got to the point that we had to set a timer so she knew that we were very well aware of the time limit and we did not need to be told again. On top of that, they brought half of the entrees for my table and didn't acknowledge the other half of the party that didn't receive their food. When they brought our desert, I informed the server that we were still waiting on several of the entrees and her response was "what do you mean they didn't get their entrees" and then blame it on the kitchen making a mistake. By this time, we were almost at the end of our 2 hour limit and were still expected to be done by 8:15pm. Furthermore, my sister asked if there was a kids menu for my 4 year old niece and 1 year old nephew, and she was told that if the kids wanted to eat she would either need to pay the $60 for them or have them ready from her own appetizer/entree. After complaining, she was able to order a side of fries. Aside from the terrible service, the food was such a let down overall. The only food that we actually enjoyed was the chicken wings, which had great flavor. I had the quinoa bowl as my entree and it was so bland. My sister ordered a Mac and cheese as an appetizer, which she did not enjoy, and when she tried to return it because she couldn't eat it she was told that it was "free because it's included in the $60." Her flatbread was ok, but nothing spectacular. I don't recall what the rest of my party ate as their entrees, but we were all disappointed with the food. Overall, the only thing that was worth it at this establishment was the bottomless prosecco. I would not recommend this place to anyone and will absolutely not being returning. read more

I can only imagine that there are a few experiences we have in this life where the food transcends all standards to become 'other worldly'. That was this meal for me. Not only was each course banging with flavor and freshness, I truly didn't have one complaint or find fault with any aspect of the dishes we ordered. The lamb nachos were packed with flavor in every bite and the freshness of the wonton chips did not go un noticed. The mac and cheese was thick and creamy and something dreams are made of. That appetizer will stay with me for a while. I took a different route than my usual selections and opted for a falafel burger. The falafel was humongous and not dried out. It paired perfectly with the vegetables on the burger and side salad. For dessert we couldn't decide so decided to split the doughnuts and brownie. Whoever is working that kitchen is a genius.
