With the flavors of the full menu, but the option to quickly grab and go, Cask & Larder is easily the best option in this terminal. We had: - Bacon, Egg, & Cheese - thick cut, crispy bacon, fresh cracked scrambled eggs, and a delightful fluffy brioche bun! This is the breakfast of champions at the terminal. Don't overpay for a Starbucks microwaved sandwich or suffer through a greasy fast food option! - Toasted Bagel with Cream Cheese - it could've been a little more toasted but you could tell it was fresh for that day! Waiting for the third leg of our trip from LA to Miami and I am looking for breakfast. Wife said, lets hold off because airport food is so expensive but to tell you the truth, the prices here were very reasonable. We were seated and served coffee right away. I knew what I wanted as soon as we saw it on the menu: shrimp and cheesy grits. These were some of the best grits we have had. They were right to call them cheesy. The service was great, our waitress was there to make sure we had our coffee topped off and when the wife went to see some of the stores, i was never rushed out. I did chose to move to the bar seating so larger groups could use the table. I fly through MCO often, and the terminal A choice is always Cask & Larder. You usually don't have to wait for a table, there's bar seating, the service is solid, the food is decent. For an airport option, it's honestly one of the better ones. It's in an open area and doesn't feel too crowded, it isn't too loud, it's close to all of gates on that side. Who wants McDonald's when you can come here?? The food isn't going to blow your mind, but it's truly solid. Like I said, it's one of the better options out there. I've had a lot of disappointing (and expensive) airport food in my life, so trust me. Prices are reasonable and I never feel like I'm wasting all of my money here. We got to the airport super early ahead of our flight and were glad to score a table at this restaurant right away, as it started to fill up later. Food was really great - some of the best breakfast I'd had in a while. Yordano was our server and took really good care of us. E stopped in real quick before or flight and I was pleasantly surprised. We grabbed a couple of Lone Palm Golden Ales and some apps before our flight. I will say this spot has a really cool look inside, like you're in a park. We ordered a pretzel which had a nice seasoned salt which was surprising. It was a very nice addition to the hot fresh pretzel. It was soft and had a very rich flavor. We also had some fried pickles which were AWESOME! The batter was very flavorful and rich. Arrived at the airport early. Needed coffee and a bite to eat. Cask & Larder with table seating was what we chose. We were seated immediately & server came right over. We ordered simply a bagel & butter, $5.50 and buttermilk biscuits served with butter and jam, $6 50. A drip coffee, black, $3.49. The bagel was toasted, it was ok. The biscuits were not bad. It's been a while since I last reviewed Cask & Larder.....truthfully, it's become a staple. I've been to so many airports and so often you get subpar food. My favorite part about Terminal A is Cask and Larder. It's almost sad that you can only eat here if you're in the airport. The decor is so open and there is so much natural light. Their menu is actually pretty good. I've several things on the menu but I do love their cuban sandwich, which was recommended by a server so kudos to them because they were right and it was excellent! Their cappuccino has a nutty taste to it which I like. They also have a great bloody mary if you want to do a little pregaming before your flight. Definitely make sure you have time to sit and eat. So airport food...you don't have many options...you're in an airport and can't hop in the car and go elsewhere. That being said, we had a really nice meal here! We arrived here at just the right time. There were a few people ahead of us, but we were seated quickly. Our server was excellent; very friendly and attentive. Arriving at the airport early is a good idea. But when you have way too much time to kill you will need to find something to kill the time with. I had got to the airport shortly after my colleague did and found out she was here. I had walked past it at first heading to my gate. Made my way back up to the center court area and found my colleague. I was going to walk in and take a seat next to her, but was promptly stopped. I had missed the sign saying that I needed to wait to be seated. They were strict on this, in an airport however, I doubt people are going to be scrambling to flood this place with all the faster options available. Of course, I am talking about the restaurant portion, not the grab and go section. Once guided to my seat by the host, I had a menu in hand. I sat near my colleague, at a high top rail that bordered the grab and go section. I was approached fairly quickly for a drink order and let to look over the menu. Did a quick scan and turned into a kid, went with chicken tenders with an add on of fries (totally not worth the up charge). I was able to get two dipping sauces, barbecue and honey mustard. Food was basic. Nothing too impressive, but the fry quantity should have been more. If I'm paying the price I paid, I would expect more fries than a small handful. As for the atmosphere, it is an airport. Made to feel like you are eating on a sidewalk in some city. But if you were looking for someplace to get some work in, definitely a good place. The high top rail comes with outlets and USB connections. Service here was hit and miss. Our server was busy with other tables, but when we were finished and our plates were empty, it felt like some time before we were checked on and bill given. I was prepared to get out of there and handed my card before she could disappear again. Overall, not worth the money. Go to one of the fast food places and get what you paid for. One thing I am Not is a gatekeeper! If you're flying out of terminal A at the Orlando airport, please skip the ridiculous Starbucks line and just grab something from C&L. They have snacks for the kids, delicious breakfast sandwiches to go, Barney's coffee (amazing) and if you have extra time, you can go into their seating area and have an entire meal or grab a drink. I'm going to kick myself for sharing this as I'm a frequent flyer and I love that there is never a long line here. But seriously this is a perfect all-in-one stop at MCO! read more

I grabbed a seat at the bar and was helped right away--quick seating and genuinely friendly staff, which is always a treat in an airport setting. The atmosphere was surprisingly quiet and relaxed, making it an ideal stop during a layover. This place was just OK. In terms of airport food, it's a fine option. I sat at the bar and experienced some really slow service so if you're in a rush, maybe not the best place. There was very little room for luggage while sitting at the bar so if you prefer to spread out, just grab a table. I ordered a cold brew coffee and the breakfast platter. After about 15 minutes, my coffee still hadn't arrived. Once it did, the bartender asked me to remind her what I ordered and said she accidentally deleted my tab. I let her know and she seemed to track my order down somehow. Another 20 minutes later or so, my food came out. The platter included eggs, a hash brown, and bacon. This is our go to sit down restaurant when we arrive early to Terminal A at MCO. There was a short wait as the hostess was very well in sorting parties and seating arrangements. Menu is simple with not too many options to deviate from descriptions. Server was friendly and attentive. Off to a good start in the beautiful atrium of the southwest terminal. Enriched by the luxury of 45 mins before boarding, so we decided to sit down. Service was friendly and capable. Enjoyed the red drum draft. We did *not enjoy the Cuban sandwich. The pork was terrible/ bubble-gum in consistency; pork "flavor" can only be described as skanky (no smoke seasoning or marinade could be identified). I peeled the pork off of mine - converting to a single slice of ham and cheese and bread. With a restroom stop in the middle while my wife guarded the table & my brew, we were then caught in the vicissitudes of the clock-- needing to get to our gate so no time to send the food back. Experience 4.10.26 My husband and I flew out of Orlando Friday night and stopped in the restaurant for snacks and drinks. After my second beer I noticed that my glass was super dirty. I mentioned it to our server and she said, "all our glasses look like that". I looked at my first glass and it certainly didn't have all the scum on the rim that my second glass had. My husband's glass also didn't look dirty. I would have expected the server to apologize for such a disgusting glass and/or at least offer to get me a clean glass. But nope. Unbelievable that she found her non-chalant attitude acceptable about such a disgusting glass I just drank out of. 5 minute line then 15 minute wait to order 2 wines and a wrap. 17 minutes more to be told we are out of wine glasses, can we serve you in another glass. Yes any glass is fine we are limited on time, then 5 more minutes for wine in a wine glass ? 37 minutes for wine and 10 more minutes for the wrap. Had to leave before finishing because our flight was boarding. Asked up front is a wrap quick, we have an hour. Over $65 for 2 glasses of wine and a wrap that was dry and the requested salad dressing not served. That's why the best of airports award you received was so long ago. Because you wouldn't be anywhere in the hunt now. Silverware was plastic wrap ti go style. Not good for $20+ glasses of wine. Any fast food from the food court would've bear this food quality and cost. One star for the food/drink and overall experience, additional star because the server was friendly and not his fault they can't wash dishes timely and can't read salad dressing requests. We had checked out the possible restaurants at Orlando, International Airport, and we're trying to decide between cask and large versus another place in the main terminal. We ended up coming to Cask & Larder and we're glad we did. We were greeted and seated at a table under a fake tree with sunlight streaming in from overhead. It was actually quite lovely and a nice fake tree. My husband decided to order the "pick three" of side dishes: street corn, beef, salad, and roasted brussels sprouts. I chose to have the Nashville chicken sandwich with a side salad. And we both got unsweetened iced tea. Everything came out reasonably quickly, and our waitress stopped back often to check on us. The sandwich was actually a wonderful blend of flavors, combining Nashville, fried chicken, coleslaw, good pickles, & hot honey on a brioche bun. Although I don't normally eat the buns or bread on sandwiches, I decided to eat this as was intended. The flavors were very complementary and tasty! Besides salad was fresh with good greens and tomatoes, croutons, and a side of vinaigrette dressing My husband was amazed at the amount of food they put in front of him. Each item came in its own bowl and filled the bowl rather well. There were three 2 sized corn, cobs, freshly dipped in breadcrumbs and cheese, which were very tasty. The beet salad was a full bowl of delicious varying items, including fresh beets, which my husband loved. The brussels sprouts filled their whole entire bowl and recovered with bacon, bits, and a sweet glaze. Drinks and food are a little expensive, but it is inside the airport and there was no airport lounge in this terminal. The tacos were really good. I would highly recommend this place. This might be the one place I've most recently not taken any food pics, lol. That means you'll just have to trust me. Cask & Larder is a quant breath of fresh air, amidst the hustle and bustle of airport comings and goings. Despite being faux, I loved all the greenery and was a bit impressed with the hyper realistic gorgeous tree taking center stage. It was immediately where I wanted to spend our 2.5 hour layover and get some lunch. I loved their Cobb salad and ate every last bit. Thank you for not skimping on th ranch dressing so that all the last bits of spring mix are also coated. And, their Gin and Tonic on tap was also really good. It's made with St. Augustine dry gin and Jack Rudy small batch tonic. I'm a fan. Who knew their chefs were also nominated for a James Beard award? Def choosing Cask & Larder next time we're in Orlando. read more
