The bars were creamy and flavorful, and definitely worth trying at least once. However, I'll stick with the paletas available in my area and continue supporting local business owners. Overall, the Melona bars are worth giving a try, but they didn't win me over enough to replace my local favorites.

They cater to Latin customers but Ive seen African and other ethnicities. They added a bakery for cakes. Cut up fresh fruit. A live seafood counter. Swai I think. Tilapia. Blue crabs. Cheese and marinated beef and poultry. Not many Fiesta locations. Glad this one is here. I can get basic stuff like cilantro, chamomile, Buldok ramen and fresh Mexican sweet bread. I recommend you try it again. If it out you off before.

I walked about 1.5 miles each way to get to Tom thumb after struggling to find a supermarket near my hotel. I'm glad I took the walk. The Primo Taglio Carver turkey is really good, the employees super friendly and the outdoor seating is a pleasant place to sit and send LOTR memes to my friends on Instagram. I enjoyed the turkey so much that even when it froze later in my unreasonably cold hotel mini fridge, I still made a sandwich and ate with relish (the sensation, not the condiment). I guess what I'm really trying to say here is that in the bleak, anxious days leading up to a grappling tournament, when you are worried about your weight and life stresses seem amplified, Tom thumb makes a great hotel turkey that takes the edge off.

Half of them were dropped previously and being sold at a discount and the other half looked just as bad. The cakes looked the same. The cakes not with the regular cakes and cupcakes looked sooooo much better. So I chose the 12 cupcakes+2inch round option as it looked great. We got to the restaurant and pulled them out and ate them and good to the lord they were SOOOOOOOOO sweet. On a level of 1 to 10 with 10 being straight up sugar cubes this was a 15. None of us could even eat a whole one. So needless to say this was a disappointment. I will stick to my usual grocery store chain to get my cupcakes from now on. This one was a bust.

While the employee was speaking to me informing me that they have indeed changed the store hours for paying your bills a manager walks up points her finger at the employee which stopped the conversation immediately between the two of us and they both walked off! I go to ask her if I did something wrong by speaking to the employee and her response was SHE DONT SPEAK ENGLISH! I most certainly noticed how she is creating a hostile work environment for the employee she can not relate to and to be a manager telling folks she don't speak English speaks volumes to another level! Don't shop at this grocery store when management don't want to treat people equally!

I won't get into all the details of how it all works as this is just suppose to be a review, you can find all the info you need on their website and Facebook page though! For $15 dollars you get a bunch of vegetables and fruit! This is such a great value for those willing to put up with the hassles of getting up early and bringing a basket. Basically you pay online and choose if you want the regular basket or the organic and add any extras. The extras are fresh (no-junk like high fructose corn syrup) bread, Mexican packs full of peppers, boxes of oranges, and other assortments that change with every order. They try to get a lot of the produce from local sources, and it will really get you to venture outside of your food comfort zone and cook some new things. I found everything to be delicious and had a lot of fun getting baskets and talking with others about what they were going to make with certain unusual items and then posting results on their facebook page. It is really helpful in inspiring you to eat better. The only negative I had with this location was with them almost DEMANDING you sign up to volunteer. I have no issues with volunteering, but it was only my first time there and the website clearly defines all the information for volunteering. It rubbed my husband the wrong way and I've had a hard time convincing him to go back due to the experience. I did hear that someone (it wasn't me!) complained about the situation and now someone new is running the show, so from what I've heard it seems to be better now. Still minus a star for me due to it and hopefully I'll be back to try it again someday. I still recommend it to everyone though, because it is just such a great deal and such a cool thing to have right here in Fort Worth!

You pay either 15$ for a regular basket or 25$ for a organic basket and pick up a whopping amount of fruits and veggies. Mostly local, in season and always fresh. I really like the add ons that you can do as well. The honey wheat bread is the best I've ever had! It's all natural and comes in packs of 5. They freeze wonderfully. Every now and then you can snag gallons of organic olive oil for cheap. The pick up times and locations vary depending on where you are in the metroplex. One basket is WAY more than enough for 4. I split my basket with my family and friends. I'll dole out extras that I know I won't use before they go bad. It's worth a shot!
