I think you can infer from these reviews that HDK offers one of the most reasonably priced…read morecontractor in the area. However, you can also infer how poor Hans is in managing his projects. I chose HDK based on their pricing but the 4 day project got extended to 14 days including some of the weekends they tried to make up for. I found out from one of his crews that aside from other projects, he is also busy traveling. Just imagine what will happen to your project if he gets a bigger one and he'll be out of town for some time. Based on my experience, Hans is a nice guy in terms of cost and quality of work. What he lacks is professionalism in communication and skills in project management. His work is guaranteed, but he hires questionable laborers who should have no business handling saws and hammers when left on their own because their boss is busy on another project. HDK is a case of a "what could have been".

We had Hans and crew do work on the house we are moving into this weekend. They did:…read more-plumbing (installing toilet, finding and removing a shampoo cap that was plugging a drain under the house, getting the valves in the shower working again, installing new faucet in the kitchen, fixing the horrible leaks in the kitchen sink, etc.) -carpentry (building a cabinet to put a dishwasher in since the house had never had one before, cutting/adjusting the cabinets in the kitchen to make room for a microwave and a taller fridge) -electrical for dishwasher -miscellaneous (putting up gutters and downspouts, getting the gate closed that was not installed correctly by the original people, fixing all the cabinet doors that were hanging off in the kitchen, patching the mess of a wall under the kitchen sink and making all the valves accessible, hooking up the washer/dryer) There were three guys there for a full day, plus two guys for about five hours the next day. They seemed to be working hard from the time they got there until they left. Given how many workers there were and what they accomplished, their rates seemed reasonable. The thing that stood out to me the most about this company is that they fixed a couple of little things at no charge (e.g. putting new washers in outdoor spigots to reduce leaking). In fact, the door frame to our sliding door was not attached properly to the wall and could easily have been broken into. I never showed it to Hans, but I noticed that they fixed that as well. Nobody even mentioned to us that they had done it, which surprised me. I had felt a little unsafe about that door, so it meant a lot that they just did that for us. Also, Hans gave us advice about how to deal with other issues we want to tackle ourselves (removing rust from the fences, etc.) and he seemed interested in making his customers happy. Because we were happy with his work, we not only recommend Hans and his crew, but we are hiring them again next week to help us install appliances and do a few more projects.

Luis was extremely professional throughout the quoting process and carefully explained every detail of the work that would be completed. The project included power washing, repairing stucco cracks, and painting our entire house. The APlus team truly went above and beyond our expectations. During the power washing, they even removed green algae from our roof at no additional charge. They also painted our garage, water feature, backyard planter wall, and even our fire pit! During the actual painting job, Luis's father Manuel, his brother Angel, and another crew member completed the entire project in just one day. Their teamwork, attention to detail, and efficiency were impressive. Overall, the quality of work and level of service made the investment completely worth it. We highly recommend APlus Painting Services!

If I could leave 0 stars I would. Got an epoxy floor done through this company in February and I…read morewouldn't recommend them to anyone. First I dealt with Matthew who was the project manager and completely dropped the ball on this project. A month after installation my floors started lifting and he tried to tell me it was a plumbing issue & a leak in the floor and it wasn't a floor failure. Had a plumbing inspection done and turns out there was no leak. Reached back out and he never got back to me through text or call, so I wrote an email. Then I get a text from Walter who said he's the owner and knew nothing about the project but saw there were issues & informed me Matthew no longer worked for the company. He was very on top of it, came in to look at the damages, paid me back for the plumbers to come out, told me he would make it right & fix the floors. Scheduled the floor repairs for August 9-11, tried getting ahold of him the week before he was supposed to come in. Phone is off, and never showed up to fix the floors. Even emailed the email on his business card and nothing. Completely unprofessional especially when he was so on top of it to make it right to just ghost me and never show up or even contact me. Use someone else, save yourself the hassle.

This has been a challenging task as we have encountered contractors of all sorts, making promises only to fall short of expectations. After receiving several estimates, we decided to use Modern Decor Interior. From our initial consultation, Walter was very knowledgeable, professional and informative about the renovation that needed to take place. We decided to add a separate dwelling unit (ADU) Walter handled everything from architect to engineering dealt with city inspectors you name it or experience with stress-free and our final outcome was amazing. Walter and his team were very communicative as well as efficient and professional. Our job was completed before schedule and it's already generating revenue for us. I couldn't be happier to have found such a professional trustworthy company. Walter is amazing and patient a very knowledgeable contractor. I've already recommended Modern decor Interiors llc to a couple of colleagues and plan on using them all my future projects. These guys did not just meet my expectations. They exceeded them in every way possible! I would read them at 10 if I could to explain the whole process will take 3 to 4 pages ! We had great customer service great value overall her price was not the lowest as other estimates however it was realistic and on budget project was completed on schedule and be on our expectations. Our overall scope of work was a complete interior and exterior renovation as well as a ADU addition . My personal experience was awesome. I would highly recommend them 10 out of 10.

I happened to point out some other small areas of drywall damage where my dog had chewed when he was a puppy, and he said he could get that fixed on the same day for just a little bit more. I was super happy about that. When he was done, everything looked great, and Charlie even helped me with the paint I needed to paint over the new drywall. The price he charged was fair, he was easy to talk to, and he did a great job! I will definitely call Haynes Drywall Finishing again for future jobs and tell all my friends about them.

We recently remodeled the master bath and kitchen in our 1979 townhome in Claremont that had barely…read morebeen touched since it's original construction. We started in our master bathroom since we were concerned about potential dry rot due to the condition of the shower as well as wanting to upgrade the very dated features and lighting. Some highlights included having to level the floor before installing porcelain tile, re-work the framing in the shower and along the tub, re-work the plumbing in the shower and tub, install a frameless shower system, add electrical and install custom tile in the shower and tub surround. The quality of the workmanship shows throughout the project. Our kitchen remodel was a combination of contractors as the cabinet refacing and quartz countertops were installed by one contractor and Chucks' crew did the electrical, lighting and tile work. Chuck and his team worked within our needs (and schedule). Once again the workmanship was superb, especially the stone and glass backsplash installation. Chuck professionalism showed through as we had surprises from what the other contractor DIDN'T do, and he quickly stepped in to make sure that our work was completed to our specifications. During this engagement, we contracted with Chuck for additional work that included removing old lighting and installing recessed LED lighting in various parts of our home and upgrading exhaust fans. Chuck was able to fit this additional work into the project schedule. Chucks' crew is very efficient and knowledgeable. He rarely uses sub-contractors and I felt we had his best workers on site with us. As we continued to live in our home, they were very clean, courteous and reliable. I felt comfortable to give one of his workers an extra key, which I would not normally do! From a price standpoint, once again there were no surprises and Chuck's bid was quite fair. Our overall projects came in within 3% of my budget and Chuck's actual cost to bid was spot on target! Chuck is highly professional with his bid process, contract and communication with us. I would highly recommend Chuck to those looking for a high quality, reliable contractor who stands behind his work.
