Merola Painting - prep of exterior siding replacement - Painters Near Me

Rich did an excellent job, and the results are beautiful. The job was completed on time. We are very satisfied.

Rich is the best there is! We hired Rich to paint the exterior of our Crestline home after years of neglect from the previous owner and all I can say is I feel thankful and lucky that Rich was the person on the job. Rich approached the project as if it were his own home and showed a level of care and craftsmanship that is rare to find. Rich is at all times meticulous and professional with great communication throughout the entire process. Rich walked us through areas that needed repair, made suggestions and just went above and beyond in every way. Rich works with a sense of pride that is apparent in the final product. My neighbor put it best when he said we clearly hired the best contractor on the mountain. Thanks Rich, we appreciate all of the work that you put into making our home beautiful. read more

My wife and I couldn't be more thankful for the work Rich did on our house. We live in Lake Arrowhead which can be brutal on paint jobs. We purchased our house in July and new we needed an excellent paint job before the winter came. We had five different companies come to bid the job. We decided on Rich because of his professional manner, the comments he made about the house while reviewing the job (such as area's we would and would not need to replace siding, it was obvious he was very skilled), and lastly his quote (which was VERY good). One thing I also liked was his choice of paint for our home. Instead of your standard paint, he used Flood stain which can be color matched. This product is much more durable for the harsh variations in weather that occurs on the mountain. He started the job on time and worked his tail off prepping the house for three weeks! Every day I came home from work to see his progress I was delighted by his attention to detail. There were a couple siding boards that needed replacing from the woodpeckers and you can't tell that he replaced the boards (matching new wood with older siding can be a challenge). He also fixed a couple holes where some old pipes were coming out of the buildup. I've stood in front of those spots staring trying to see if i could notice the patch job, but was never able to. Also, there were some splatters of paint on the roof from whoever did the last paint job and he had a painters trick to cover that up. He also painted the vent piping coming out of the roof. Overall, he did a fantastic job on our home and we truly couldn't be happier. Thanks, Rich! read more

Richie is awesome!! Beautiful work, always on time and he's an amazing family man, I highly recommend him for all your painting and drywall needs read more

I would recommend Rich Merola to any of my friends or family. I have hired painters in the past, twice to be exact, and neither showed the professionalism or skill that Rich Merola had. Rich had a big project coming up and squeezed my little project in on a Saturday so i didn't have to wait until after the holidays to get this done. When he arrived, to his own surprise i'm sure, he had to work in a house filled with 4 young children and a dog (remember, it was a saturday). He didn't seem bothered by it in the slightest. He arrived when he said he would, 8:00 AM sharp, and he was finished by 3:00 pm. He even found some old paint in my garage to help fix some things that the previous painters messed up, free of charge. I hired him because of the great Yelp reviews he had and I couldn't be happier with the job he did. He even worked with my wife on very short notice to select a paint color, which he took care of getting; as oppose to making me go to the store to purchase. Like i said, I would recommend him to anyone. Thanks Rich for doing such an awesome job and on such short notice! read more

I actually feel blessed that I came upon these reviews and ended up hiring Rich to paint my beautiful condo in Claremont. Even as far as it was from his home, Rich never complained, gave me a great price, fixed a couple of handyman issues I needed taken care of and painted my place on time and with love. It's hard to find those individual painters that don't have some crew you can't communicate with but I was lucky enough to find Merola Painting. Rich is one of a kind. You owe it to yourself to call him for a quote. You will be pleasantly surprised at the price and the quality. read more

We hired Merola Painting to paint the exterior of our home in Crestline. From the first call, Rich was consistently professional. He's easy to talk to, shows up on time, and does what he says. His work is great and doesn't cut corners. My wife wants him back to paint the interior, something we would normally do, but we trust him enough -- and hate painting enough -- to let him take over that chore, knowing he'll do just as good of a job. I actually just here on Yelp to get his phone number to set an appointment for an estimate. read more

I called Rich to help me out on a rental property. He was very easy to work with, which made things go very smooth. I needed the interior painted in short notice, he was willing to do this for me and his prices were very fair or better than other quotes I received. He finished sooner than promised and was very clean when done. I would highly recommend Merola painting to family or friends for painting in the future. read more

Rich just finished up painting the exterior of our house - seriously, he JUST finished about an hour ago and we are so happy that I couldn't wait to post a rave review of Rich and his work. We could not be happier. Rich was so easy to work with and had great communication. My husband and I initially chose a color based on a photo we had seen online. Even though we didn't request it, Rich got a sample and painted a few patches so we could see it on the house - it was WAY different than we thought. We opted for a different color, and we love how it came out. Before asking Rich to paint our house, we had obtained three quotes and chose Rich based on a combination of his personality and his reasonable pricing. Throughout the entire process of working with Rich, it was very clear to us that he is committed to quality and truly cares about the work he does. We've spent the last two years renovating a house from 1952 that had had no upgrades, and through our mixed experiences with projects, we've become very picky about who we ask to work on our house. Rich far exceeded our expectations and we've already asked him about an interior paint job as well. You will not be disappointed if you call Rich. read more

There are no words that can express the type of service I received. First off, he was on time....not a minute late. We pained my kitchen, not a huge job, but the quality of work was exceptional. He made some suggestions that changed the look of our family room and even did a little extra work that I asked for. Extremely competent, very neat and clean, everything was taped off no spills, no clean-up. I will use him over and over again. On top of all of that, he is one heck of a NICE guy. I have found my painter. Take my word for it, don't go crazy looking or bidding out, this guy is wonderful. Thanks so much! read more

I can't say enough about Rich's professionalism when completing his work. In 2015 I had him back to paint a bedroom, two decks, and paint a bed frame. Everything was done exquisitely and with the attention to detail that can only be described as pride. Rich always puts forth a finished product he can be proud of. read more

I am a dentist and have some dental equipment that needed updating in the color department. I had Merola Painting give me a bid and do the painting. Richie was extremely good with making the equipment look as though the new color was factory original! I think he could do this type of work full time and would refer him very highly! read more

Rick's work is fabulous. I had him paint the interior of my cabin and booked him for spring to do the exterior. He is on time, pays attention to detail, very important in a painter, cleans up and leaves the place tidy. His prices are responsible and I don't think you could get a better value for the money. read more

We have a home in the San Bernardino Mountains that we built in 1994. It has been painted a total of 4 times. With this 4th paint job done by Rich Merola, the house has been painted correctly for the first time! The house looks spectacular. I had no idea it could look so good. They masked everything, scraped, primed and painted everything (which included a good 30' height of deck support structure). Rich and staff kept my house neat and clean inside and out and Rich even helped me clean the windows afterwards because I was too scared to climb out on the scaffolding and the high windows have never been washed either. I would recommend Merola Painting any time and plan to have them paint the interior of my home down the hill as soon as possible. read more

Rich Merola recently painted the outside of our house. We are REALLY picky people but we couldn't be happier with the work the Merola crew did. Our house looks brand new now! He even fixed a few issues he found on our roof, which he just included in the price. We wouldn't use anyone else now that we've experienced his workmanship and professionalism. read more

A quick glance through my review record here and you'll see that I don't just dole out the 5-ers. Let me explain why I feel Merola Painting earns the honor. Rich has handled a number of projects for us over the past 7 or 8 years. Few of them have been straight painting jobs. He's constructed road cases/stands for auditorium speakers, refinished a large wood desk, stained and sealed the bare wood case for a large water tank, offered personal consulting for paint and design jobs, and more. He's my "go to" guy for a wide variety of construction and finishing projects. I've not met many craftsmen as skilled or knowledgeable as Rich. But, honestly, he's my first call for these projects primarily because of his demeanor, professionalism, dedication to excellence, and customer service. I've never once felt he was dishonest with me. He's gracious and doesn't treat me like an idiot (even when, clearly, I have no idea what I'm talking about). And, HE is not satisfied until the job is done right--all in all, a pleasant and welcomed reversal from the norm. read more

I hired Merola Painting to paint most of my downstairs, stairwell, hall and three bathrooms. Rich is very professional, honest and does excellent work. He gave me a written estimate over email and outlined everything he would do. He took great care in the prep work, covered all furniture, removed window coverings (there were a lot of them) and then put everything back, he even helped me hang a few heavy pictures. I picked a very bold accent color for specific walls and it came out beautifully. I would not hesitate to recommend Merola Painting. read more

Rich far surpassed our expectations and provided the best service possible. Rich was extremely meticulous and truly cared about our home and paint work. Rich worked around our furniture and pets to provide amazing work. I would recommend Rich to anyone and will be using him again in the near future for the exterior of our home. The price was very competitive and the quality even better. Merola painting is by far the most honest and integral painting contractor I have ever used, he went the extra mile in fixing up baseboards and other minor issues without charging us extra. read more

My wife called Merola Painting after reading the reviews online. Rich was very responsive and was able to fit us in between other jobs. He came to our house and gave us a competitive quote and started that same day. We was very meticulous with his prep work and clearly takes pride in his work. He showed up on time each day and cleaned up before he left for the evening. Simply put, he did what he said he would do when he said he would do it! How refreshing is that!!! We are very particular with who we let into our home and Rich made us feel comfortable from day one. After he was finished with our job he actually charged us less than the original quote....who does this? Rich Merola does...that's who! We will be referring him to all our friends and family...thank you Rich for doing such a great job with such a great attitude toward making sure your customer is satisfied. read more
