This is Casey's new location in Ramsey and they really managed to irritate me.
BAD: All of the pumps are pre-paid if you want to use cash. Come on! This is the only convenience store in Ramsey that does this. The Holiday Stations don't do it. The Super America locations don't do it. And the Bill's stores certainly don't do it. Plus, Casey's is only 2 blocks from the police station. So if you don't use a card (and have some bank account money put on hold for processing), you either need to guess how much gas your tank will take OR you need to make two trips inside...one to pay and a second to get change.
WORSE: The worst thing is these people are too lazy to put a note on the pumps (see photo). Really? Even the losers out in California have enough energy to put hand-written notes on the pumps! I complained to the employee yesterday, but I looked this morning, and guess what? They still couldn't be bothered to walk to the stationary section, grab a pen, paper, & tape to write a note. When I asked who the manager is, the dude said they don't have a manager but I can call the Casey's number to comment. I don't think so. I'd rather talk about it on the internet.
GOOD: I like that this station is brand new. The gas pump area is huge and spacious with an ample area for driving around. There are more pumps and pump islands than usual. Finally, the inside is nice, new, and spacious.
I like the store itself but I'm averaging them out to 2 stars for the bad attitude, the indifference, and the laziness. As usual, things fall apart with the people, not with the physical hardware. FYI, my receipt said my cashier was Luka. Funny, the cashier was a big dude that didn't look female. Looks like they're too lazy to sign-in & out of the correct cash registers too.
I'm going back to Bill's and Holiday!
