When we walked in on a Tuesday night, we were warmly greeted by the assorted. It was kid's way free from 4-8pm. The restaurant was lively with families and other guests eating and dining. I really like the different options of pizza and other entrees available. Everything is rotated out in a timely manner when platters are empty, and there were employees walking around taking plates and clearing off tables when patrons were done. Overall, this is a great place to bring a family. I'm only taking one star off just because my Mac n cheese pizza was a little bland, but everything else tasted fresh and delicious. read more

We recently visited this location and we were pleasantly surprised. The staff is so friendly here and the chicken was fresh and not over fried or left setting for to long. We were asked if there was a special pizza we would like to have. They really spoiled us. I will drive the extra miles to this location over our local one any time I crave chicken or pizza in the future. read more

It's pizza ranch! Haha. It cost around $18 per person for the dinner buffet. Staff was friendly, the buffet stayed stocked. The food was fine. Cheese sticks and Dessert pizza were delicioussss. They have an arcade. Worth a stop once a year haha. read more

When we arrived the restaurant wasn't super busy, about 1/3 full. The cashier Debra was very nice and sweet. She helped me with my coupon and my rewards. But I forgot to order my special request. When I realized I went back up and she gave me a number for my Garlic Pizza. 25 minutes later I stopped Kayla who was working the DR and asked for her to check on my pizza. She came back and told me my order was never put in and they already put in the order. Kayla was very apologetic more than once. The pizza arrived about 10 minutes later. 3 of the 4 of us wanted the Garlic Cheese Pizza so we took it all. It was very good! In the meantime, I tried a chicken breast and mashed potatoes and gravy. 3 of us 4 had the chicken and came to the same conclusion. Dryed out, overcooked and only warm. I did mention to Kayla and she asked if I wanted to talk to the manager on duty but I didn't want to make a fuss in front of the other guests. This is the first time since this location opened that the chicken was not acceptable. The cookie pizza was the same, very overcooked and not very tasty. But everything else was very good! I especially love your coffee and the dessert pizza as well. As we are loyal guests and Champlin residents, we will not let this experience change how often we visit. Thank you to Kayla and Debra for their awesome customer service! read more

I am shocked to see how low the reviews for this place are! This is actually one of the coolest Pizza Ranch's I have been too since it has a very fun arcade as well! The food here is not top quality but it not horrible either. The fried chicken is some of the best for sure! The pizza is decent but not top notch. The service is very accommodating and will make any type of pizza you want if it is not already out. I highly recommend the taco pizza, bacon chicken and ranch, and the Mac and cheese pizza as I think those the the best! The prices are good for what you get and I never leave hungry! The service here is fantastic and everyone is always friendly! People are always cleaning and the restaurant was in good shape! This place has an arcade my kids really enjoyed it! It's not overly large but enough to keep their attention for awhile! I would absolutely recommend this location! read more

This place is phenomenal!! The customer service phenomenal!!! The food phenomenal!!! I love this place!!!

It's okay. Not the worst, not the best. Lots of grease on the pizza because they use inexpensive full fat cheese. Not the best if you're either watching your cholesterol or girth. We ordered online using Yelp which routed us over to Grubhub, who sent a confirming text saying we'd hear from Pizza Ranch when the pizza was ready for pickup - about 30 to 40 minutes. After one hour no call. I had to finally drive over to Pizza Ranch and ask what happened. The pizza had been done for quite some time, they just forgot to call. If you like Pizza Ranch it's better to just call your order in - forget GrubHub. Besides, you save paying the $1.50 or so convenience fee. read more

Pizza Ranch is a solid 3 - a good place to fill up if you have some hungry kiddos. I finally tried out Pizza Ranch. I think they can best be described as an Old Country Buffet for pizza. The whole place has a cowboy theme. I literally tried every kind of pizza. It was all pretty bland, doughy, and boring. On the other hand, you can add a couple of condiments like red sauce and dried red peppers to spice things up. I tried a couple of the dinner items and salad items. Again, kinda boring and bland. My favorite, hands down, was the dessert pizza area. A couple of them, like the apple and the blueberry, were genuinely really good. They brought out a fresh chocolate pizza for a table but then ran back in the kitchen with it - weird - bummer. They also have a soft serve ice cream machine but no toppings for it. Again - okay - but pretty boring. I didn't see any adult staff. It was a bunch of high schoolers running things. But they were really good about busing tables and keeping the hot tables stocked with food. I probably won't be back. But if I still had kids at home, I'd probably stop in once in a while for a cheap fill-up. -Daddy Maxx Retro P.S. If you want to eat some really GREAT buffet pizza close by, stop in at The Pizza Man on main street in Anoka for the lunch! read more

While I love Pizza Ranch and the options available on the buffet, all I can say is that after my visit here I had stomach cramps. Just being honest. I'm not sure what caused it. I had both pizza and chicken. All I know is that I wouldn't return here based on my experience. The people were friendly. read more

Pizza is one of my favorite foods. Usually, I go to Cici's when in parts of the country that have them. Otherwise, I like giving Pizza Ranch business because they are a Christian-based company with Christian music playing in the background. Recently I ate at the Champlin location since it's the closest to where I'm currently staying. As usual, the food was good but problems came up. It took over a half hour to receive a vegetarian pizza I ordered even though it wasn't that busy. Two employees apologized for the mix-up and thanked me for my patience. I also had to put up with a screaming toddler the father allowed to walk around the place. Hopefully, my next visit to Pizza Ranch will be a more pleasant experience. read more

Pizza Ranch - a quote on a wall - Pizza Near Me - Champlin, Minnesota

I'm giving this place five stars because my kids love this place so very much. The other great things going on here are amazing friendly and helpful staff, fresh salad bar with more than just iceberg lettuce, fried chicken that is great for a comfort food night, decent pizza and clean. If you come for the buffet, you can request a pizza. When your request comes out of the oven they bring you the first pieces and then put what is left on the buffet. Great family friendly environment. Free private rooms for parties. Local owners. It's a good pizza joint. read more

Good food, great service. You can get chicken and pizza and if you opt for the buffet they will put out a pizza you picked

Employees are always very friendly. The entire establishment is very clean, which is nice for a buffet! In this day and age it says a lot to have a clean restaurant with friendly and kind employees. There was a younger male manager that was super kind and helpful. Refreshing to see. There is a pizza ranch closer to us but we choose this location because of all the positive experiences over the years. read more

Pizza ranches buffet is always a safe bet for lunch! A variety of pizzas complete with stuffed crust pizza, the basics, more creative fun flavors and cactus bread. They also have a great variety for the salad bar and also have some good other food that involves solid mash potato and good biscuits and gravy. Their pizza is one of my favorites!! However, the only down fall is that they run out of pizza quickly if it's busy. It also can take a while to get a pizza out. You also have no control on what kinds they are cooked. I personally love the Taco Pizza and it never appeared on the table. They did rotate the dessert cactus bread very often. I love Pizza Ranch and definitely will return to this location! I enjoy finally having one pretty close to me! read more

Pleasantly surprised. We arrived at 2pm. Staff is extremely welcoming. As this is a buffet, we didn't expect the quality of the selections. We started at the salad bar. The produce was not only plentiful but fresh and crisp. My husband tried the food bar and was very happy with the choices and again quality of selections. This was our first trip, and ya"ll didn't disappoint. read more

Mediocre pizza, but surprisingly good fried chicken. Absolutely horrible dining experience if you're an adult or you care about cleanliness and noise levels. It's a relatively cheap place to go if you've got to feed a bunch of kids, but for everyone else, steer way clear. read more

I've been here about 3 times. It's pretty good, I wish they had a bigger pizza buffet as I think there are only.8 pizzas sitting out maybe 10??? I like that you can order specific toppings and the rest goes on the the buffet that you don't want ...that's a cool idea, but but I think they need to have the standard pizzas sitting out (fresh of course ) always and have certain spots for the customers custom pizzas If that made Any sense hahaha Like always have a pepperoni/sausage/ maybe supreme whatever Chicken was really good Kids loved the soft serve ice cream Nice staff read more

This place is getting better every time our family meets here. Clean, fresh and hot food. They will make any kind of pizza you ask for and bring it to your table and serve it to you. We always have a large group, we get the buffet, so it's really nice to not have to go up for another trip to the pizza bar. The staff has always been very nice. Chicken, bacon, ranch pizza and the BLT pizza are our favorites. The soup has kinda been the only "eh" on their menu. Salad bar is decent. read more

This place offers it all. I have been there several times and the food is always hot and good! The salad bar is awesome! And the fried chicked and mashed potato's and gravy are wonderful as well. It's a little loud, like concert level loud and frankly that sucks. But the staff is always nice, and if you put your order in for the kind of pizza you want, they get it done! read more

The food was amazing and the staff was super friendly! We will definitely be coming back for the cactus bread.

A buffet/pizza/chicken place. Its a little odd to have pizza with a cowboy theme, but the chain got its start in the plains of the US (SD I think), so I won't judge too much. The pizza is edible, but not fabulous, although they do have some good flavor combinations and specials. The crust is my biggest complaint--I'm not sure if its frozen from a food service, but they certainly have made it look and taste that way. As long as you can accept that the crust is just an edible vessel for the toppings, you'll be fine. I like the BBQ chicken pizza, and the kids enjoy the Mac and Cheese Pizza. The highlight of the menu is the fried chicken. Some of the best available in our area. The batter is thin and crispy, with just enough salt and seasoning. The chicken is consistently moist and juicy. Order a bucket for take out--You won't be disappointed. read more

I have been to this location several times, and each time I have really enjoyed the food and friendliness of the people. I really like how I could put in a personal order for pizza that I want. It seems to me that they have the best fried chicken in town, and that I could get my fill alone on it. Of course their pizza has no other rival or so it seems. The pizza is always tastes fresh which I really enjoy. Of course the best time to go is for lunch on a weekday whicjh uaually has a sgorter wait time. read more

I am loving this place a little less and less since my last review. Not sure if the novelty has simply worn out, or if the food is actually getting lower in quality. The prices have definitely increased, although under $25 for 2 adults is not terrible. (Still we may be trying the $13.99 Godfathers for 2 buffet coupon in the near future). My absolute #1 complaint, however, is much more recent. We had chicken there at the buffet last weekend and it was bloody. Not just a speck of blood or one piece of chicken, but what looked like cut veins in two separate pieces. Needless to say I didn't try a third. I asked my husband if we should tell a staff member but he said not to bother since it is a buffet. Always wonderful employees and a great atmosphere though, so I still give this place 3 stars. I simply hope I never find anymore red chicken on my subsequent visits! read more

I am a Pizza Ranch vet. I rate Waconia and Monticello as the best, although it has been a few years since I have been to Waconia. The new Champlin PR is fine, but not quite on par with my experiences elsewhere. I went twice the first week it opened, including its first day in business. I had lunch on opening day. The pizza was OK, and they had a decent salad bar. The chicken and potatoes were decent, but overall I just didn't have that same great feeling I get from an outstanding PR. I'd say it deserves 3.5 stars out of the gate, and hopefully their pizza offerings will dazzle me more next time I dine there. read more

This is a clean Pizza Ranch which can be hard to find. The workers are very friendly. The register was very slow. The pizza isn't good which is an issue for me since it is a pizza place. The one thing that I enjoyed besides the cleanliness was the dessert pizza which was great. read more

Best pizza place around in my book. They bring u any pizza u want with no extra charge it is as sweet as it gets in my book.

Without a doubt, some of the worst "pizza" I ever ate. Went here for take out because it's close, cheap, the weather was terrible, and the yelp reviews were pretty good. The best way to describe it is that it tasted like bad frozen pizza. The crust was pale and tasted like unleavened bread. The sauce reminded me of what comes on spaghettios. They gave me a frequent guest card. I don't think I'll be needing it... read more

Not excited about my experience. Called ahead to find out if they have a kids eat free night like the other locations. They said yes, Tuesday evening. I asked them the age for kids and they said 10 and under. Went there on Tuesday night. Two adults and 2 kids (so I thought). The person at the register told me that even though kids are usually 10 and under at their place, kids free night was only for 8 and under (didn't matter to her either that I was given different information on the phone) Also, the pizza was at most so-so. Crust very bland and doughy. read more

This was my first time trying Pizza Ranch. I had heard soooo many people saying the food/staff are great. We ordered 2- 4pcs chicken dinners. Extra potatoes/gravy with 2- 2liters of pop all done online order. We were told delivery would be 6:19pm and IT was on time! Friendly driver and Fantastic Food! Everything people had said were on point. I would recommend this location to others and definitely will be ordering more. Thanks Pizza Ranch for tonight's dinner and quick service. read more

Lackluster. Went there for lunch, the pizzas are cafeteria level. Seriously, they do not compare at all to any major pizza chain, just bland. For a $1.50, I can get a far superior pizza slice (and pop) at Costco. Also tried the fried chicken. At least they were hot, but again not to the level of any major chicken chain ( KFC or Popeyes). And at $13 for lunch, not necessarily cheap either. There are far better buffets with bigger selections out there, and if you want a real pizza, plenty of better alternatives. Would give 1 Star, but employees seemed friendly. read more

I'm not a huge fan of the food but I do think the staff is very nice. I've always got great service here and like that the predominantly young staff seems well managed and respectful. But, the pizza is bad to be honest and for some reason the eggs in the salad bar are always frozen. read more

Love this place! The service is excellent! All employees are so happy to serve you and help you out. We always have a pleasant experience here.
