My experience echos other reviewers: shoddy installation, including leaky connections and uninsulated copper pipes. My $35,000 HVAC, air conditioner & furnace system in an antique house is 4 years old. The furnace works well, but the air conditioner, HVAC & mini split did not work any better than window fans. Casey techs came on a couple of service calls the first year and determined everything was working properly. Yes, the fans worked, but not the coolant. Their contract stipulated a "Casey HVAC 3-Year installation warranty". Last year they ghosted me for a maintenance appointment, but I was unaware they filed for bankruptcy soon afterwards. Thankfully this year I found someone willing to clean up the mess: The mini split system was low on refrigerant with 6 of 10 connections leaking; bad wiring on indoor units. Copper lines inside the house were not fully insulated. This could have caused water damage during summer if the AC ran properly. The compressor in the Trane XR air conditioner failed, as noted in another review, but is still under the manufacturer's warranty and will cost about 5-6 hours of labor to replace. Casey "helped" submit applications for refunds from MassSave, which were denied 15 times before I got a partial refund from what was quoted. Casey was reluctant to provide me the necessary information to do it myself, which I might have been able to do as I have grant writing experience. I got a dozen MassSave denials for the new energy efficient furnace before I gave up. After three years, I'm looking forward to enjoying a functioning system this summer. read more

Casey HVAC installed a brand new $44,000 heating and AC system at my parents' house 8 months ago, and it has never worked. For the past 2.5 months, my elderly parents have been calling daily for help--especially during the recent heatwave--and Casey keeps making appointments, then either ghosting them completely or showing up without the tools to fix it. This has happened over and over. They'll say they'll be there early the next day, then don't show up for days. And somehow, they just sent another invoice for "repairs" while nothing has been fixed and the house is full of family sweating through the summer. At this point, it feels like they're just ignoring the problem, while my parents are left with no AC and no answers. Please do the right thing and fix the system you installed. This isn't how you treat people. read more

Con artist. Review probably won't even matter at this point since they're out of business. They installed a gas furnace about 2 years ago. Within the first year, I corrected 2 small issues the installers made which caused the equipment to malfunction. I didn't squawk at all, it was quicker to just do it myself, although I did inform Dave Casey (the owner) of the issues, who told me over text what to do to correct their mistakes, which I had no problem doing to save them trips out here for a 1 minute fix. Seems that they then filed for bankruptcy last year. Fast forward to a week or 2 ago and the furnace started malfunctioning, in the middle of the brutal winter we've been having. Turned out luckily to just be a stink bug in the pressure tubing, which AGAIN I resolved myself, only this time with calls & texts to Dave's cell phone (which were going through / delivered) ignored / unanswered. Out of business or not, no decency to even call / text back a former customer with a name & number / referral of someone who might be able to help, mind you on equipment that they installed less than 2 years ago? They installed a system in 2023. Broke down 2 years later. Under warranty. They refuse to return calls or fulfill their obligations. Like so many other reviews, stay away. I needed repair to my central AC that Casey installed in 2021. We Had to contact another HVAC company to diagnose the problem because Casey would not respond to multiple attempts to contact them. Was told the compressor was done. Trane covered the compressor and we thought in good faith Casey would help us out by coming out to confirm the issue. Once again multiple calls to Mark and the office and no return calls. Their customer service is the worst and would not recommend them. This is bad business. It doesn't take much to return to a call. read more

Would not recommend Casey. My advice? Stay away! They schedule appointments and are late and/or don't show up. They don't return calls. They leave in the middle of a job and don't come back for days and then show up unannounced. They overcharge--big time. I find it interesting that Casey has almost all five star reviews all over THEIR company website but many poor reviews on Google and Yelp. read more

I called my regular company that had installed and serviced my system for 10 years. They never called back. I saw the Casey truck on my way home from work. (I have a friend named Casey and considered it a sign) The woman who answered the phone was friendly and booked an appointment for 5 days later on a Saturday, she told me the cost, which was LESS than the previous company. They did unfortunately have to reschedule the Saturday appointment, which was fine. My goal - get it serviced before it gets COLD. The window for arrival was 1 pm - 4 pm. the tech arrived promptly at 1 pm (lucky for sure). Very pleasant and knowledgeable. The preformed the work, showed me deficiencies that may cause issues in the future, stated a quote would be sent for the deficiencies. Luckily the deficiencies would not affect the system, and were not urgent. I am warm and toasty just in time for the soft freeze, enjoying a hot tea and a book! Word to the wise: Stay away from Casey Heating and Air Conditioning. Casey installed our two-zone heat pump system less then four years ago. When the second floor Wireless Remote Controller failed and required replacement, I called Casey on July 9. I was given an appointment 17 days out! On that day, 90 minutes prior to the start of the appointment, I received a call from Casey to cancel the appointment. I was a given an appointment 2 days out. When the service person arrived he did not have the Remote Controller and said it would be delivered to me in three days (22 days after my initial call). On that 22nd day, no call came and no part was delivered. I called to inquire, left a message, and received no return call. The next day (day #23) I called and was told that the 'parts manager' would call me - he did not. Today, August 7, I again called, only to learn that the Remote Controller had not yet been ordered. I was given another appointment 5 days out (more than 1 month after my initial call). Never in all my years have I encountered such shabby customer service. I finally requested a call from the owner, Dave Casey, to voice my dismay and disappointment. Needless to say, he did not call. Mr. Casey should be ashamed. He and his company sorely need to refresher course in customer service. read more

Update to our quote..Gave us a quote for $16K for (1) 12K and (2) 9K mini splits with a 3 ton compressor. I thought it was expensive so I looked around. Casey tried to come down on price but could not even come close. I found another installer that did the job for $9500 read more

For a company to come to someone's house to give them a quote for anything said company should be professional enough to have a wireless hotspot for their phone or tablets, Bob came to our house requested our wifi password to log on and put together a quote. The quote was for a mini split he quotes us over $6,000 for 9k btu mini split then demanded my husband sign, my husband asked what is my signature for? With an attitude he replies "Well to get the job done". Which my husband replied "well i am not signing anything yet we just needed a quote at this time". Bob then turns around and says "Well as of March 1st the price will be going up and would be over $8k". He said he would email us the quote and legitimately couldn't run out of the house fast enough! He also never actually emailed us the quote!!! He had our email address as he had emailed us before and yes we did check the junk mail nothing! So in conclusion this company is unprofessional and a ripoff!!! We just got a quote elsewhere for the same thing for $3900!!! read more

I will not be calling this place again! I had an apt from 12-2 around 240 I called the company and they said they would call me back and give me a time when my technician would be here. An hour later still no call so I called back and they still had no idea when someone would be here so I canceled and rescheduled my apt for the next day for a quote on why my heat isn't working. They don't inform you that its $159 for someone to just come to your house even if they can't figure out what is exactly wrong. What a waste of time and money. read more

My boiler broke down and Casey Heating and Air Conditioning came down the next day. My boiler was fixed and the parts were still under warranty but he still charged me for the parts. When I wanted to be reimbursed for those parts, I called him twice but he was always unavailable When he never returned my calls, I filed a complaint with the Attorney General's office. Casey HVAC recently upgraded our central air conditioning system and we couldn't be happier. First thing I always judge a service company on is their punctuality and they checked that box. All of the days during our quote appointment and two day installation they were 10 minutes early which is unheard of with many contractors. The quote appointment was great and we were provided a detailed overview and immediate quote. The actual installation was great. The entire crew were extremely professional, hard working, and highly efficient. In addition, the front office took care of all of the warranty and rebates for us. We couldn't be happier with the overall experience and highly recommend this company for any HVAC services. read more

Original appointment window was 10 AM - 12 PM. Noon comes and goes with no word from the company. I called and left a message since there was no answer. I emailed and after a wait, I am told that they are behind schedule but they are still coming, and will update me when a tech is on the way. Well, three and a half hours later, I am emailed and told that there is finally a tech on they way. I asked if they delay was typical and the answer I was given was that "sometimes thing happen." No apology, no phone call, no consideration. I missed an entire day of work waiting for this technician to show up, and the company couldn't even deign to apologize for their extreme tardiness. The tech finally arrives, only to tell me that he can't service an oil furnace. This company was a complete waste of time and a source of frustration. read more
