1 STAR I don't…read morenormally leave bad reviews, but this experience completely astonished me. I took my truck to JP Auto Glass and Tires to have my windshield fixed. When I dropped it off, I specifically warned them that if they needed to drive or move the truck, they had to be very careful because the tires can rub if the steering is turned too far. When I picked the truck up, I noticed they had backed it into a parking spot in their very small parking lot. My first thought was, "Wow, I didn't think you could make that tight of a turn with this truck." After leaving and stopping at the store, I looked at the truck and noticed significant damage. There were large chunks taken out of the tire, and part of the metal around the wheel well was bent. I immediately went back and spoke with Jay, who I understand to be the owner or owner's son. He acknowledged to me that the truck had rubbed a little while they had it, but said they did not cause the damage. I told him I was willing to deal with the damage to the truck myself--I simply wanted them to replace or fix the damaged tire. He refused and maintained that they weren't responsible. I then asked them to pull up the security-camera footage from the time my truck was being moved. We started walking toward the screen, but I was told they couldn't access the footage because it required a password they didn't have. I was told the owner would be there that afternoon, so I returned around 2:00 PM specifically to give them an opportunity to review the footage with me. When I came back, I was told the owner wasn't there and they still had no way to review the recordings, despite the security-camera system visibly operating. What made the situation even worse was my interaction with the service manager. He argued that because his own truck doesn't rub, mine shouldn't rub the way I described--even though his truck is lifted and mine is not. I showed him the tire damage, including areas large enough for me to put my fingers into, and he continued to tell me there was no damage. The conversation eventually reached the point where I was told I was "full of shit" and that they weren't going to do anything about it. As a business owner myself, what bothers me most is the lack of accountability. Mistakes can happen. What matters is how a business handles them afterward. I warned them about the possibility of the tires rubbing before they moved the truck. I was told afterward that the truck did rub while in their possession. I discovered damage immediately after picking it up. I asked for the camera footage to determine exactly what happened, and I was unable to get it reviewed. I even offered to handle the damage to the truck myself and only asked that they take care of the tire. I gave them multiple opportunities to address this reasonably before leaving this review. Based on my experience, I would not recommend JP Auto Glass and Tires. If a business makes a mistake, take ownership of it and make it right.
