The Terra Cotta Inn has become one of our family's favourite places to celebrate special occasions,…read moreand after many visits over the years, I can honestly say I've never had a bad meal or poor service. The food is consistently excellent, the staff are welcoming and attentive, and every visit feels a little special. One of the things I love most about this restaurant is the setting. Nestled along the Credit River, the atmosphere is peaceful, scenic, and uniquely local. Whether you're enjoying a quiet dinner or celebrating a milestone with family and friends, it's hard to beat the charm of this location. While I've never personally attended a wedding here, I've seen several weddings hosted at the property over the years, and they have all looked absolutely stunning. The natural beauty of the grounds and riverside setting create an incredible backdrop for special events. If you're looking for a memorable dining experience in the Halton Hills area, The Terra Cotta Inn is well worth a visit.

Would do well with some updates and elevations to bring a sense of modernity to the table. The building is lovely, however, and I can appreciate the antique design that captures the old-time charm of the restaurant. Fitting for a casual lunch or a more formal dinner. Mealwise, our dishes were tasty-- including the bread that comes with the meal!

This Italian Restaurant in Brampton was tucked away in a very small plaza (we drove right by it)!…read more Seating inside is limited, and service was slow. When looking at the menu, there was even a disclaimer about the wait time, as they note on the menu that "good food takes time to make". It's understandable that quality food takes time to prepare, but we felt that overall the service was super slow. Taking our order took a while, and evening bringing out bill took an unnecessary 25 minutes after they cleared our plates. The food was also mediocre at best. Everything tasted bland and it could definitely use some more seasoning (or at least salt).

The ambiance was good but they missed the mark with the "romantic" setting if that's what they were going for. The service was a team style service. Our primary server "Chris" I thought was mediocre & just didn't have the charisma that a good server should have in a restaurant like this. We had to ask multiple times for both bread & pepper. The food was very tasty. I started off with the Calamari ($16.00). It was tasty but not overly so. It came accented with a red pepper style dip that didn't match the seafood taste. In my opinion it should have been a seafood sauce or tartar sauce. My main was the "Fettuccine with a Twist" ($32.00). The "twist" was 3x shrimp, chicken & peppers. It was a small portion & the pasta was very al-dente but I liked it like that. The rose sauce that was with the fettuccine was superb. I had the tiramisu ($10.00) for dessert. It was VERY mediocre & and very small portion as well (see pic). All in all this isn't a do-over for me. Too high priced with an auto tip of 20% which is why the service was what it was. Total bill was $200.00.

We came for lunch and left already planning our dinner date back…read more The staff were just wonderful. Genuinely warm and kind, the kind of place where everyone seems to love what they do and it just radiates through the whole experience. It felt like being welcomed by family. The food was so good. I had the chicken cordon bleu crepe, my husband had the veal, and we shared a Caesar salad that we're still talking about. That dressing was phenomenal. Everything tasted like it was made with real care, which it was, scratch kitchen all the way and you can absolutely taste the difference. Honestly just a fantastic afternoon. Can't wait to go back. Highly recommend!

It's not very casual and not a place for coffee or premade deserts and sandwiches - if that's your understanding of 'cafe'. But it is very much an institution in Orangeville having been going since 1989 and still going very strong. To illustrate, the fairly large dinning room was practically full for lunch service on a regular Tuesday. I sat at the bar (which is in a separate room) and looked at the various options from the lunch menu. There's quite an extensive drink menu, and it was cool to see that the 4 draught beers were all local. I went with the Caledon Hills lager which was fantastic. The chicken wrap was a safe choice, but based on the description it seemed to hit the spot for the somewhat lighter lunch I was looking for: grilled chicken, bacon, lettuce, tomato and herbed cream cheese. It was all as described. Nothing to blow me away, but hit the spot and the ingredients were great and I enjoyed the cream cheese which seemed to be made in house (the blend at least). Again, this place is somewhat high end however, with it being about the cheapest item on the lunch menu ($17) and it didn't come with a side. Service was great. It seems to be a running theme through the reviews, so looks like you should expect the same. It's definitely enough to warrant another visit and try dinner sometime.
