    Rice with salad

This pizzeria is pretty unique in that they serve other things besides pizza. On the weekends they serve special dishes that are obviously made by the cooking staff On Saturdays they sometimes make Fejoada which is a Brazilian black bean stew with rice and fried yuca bits. Usually they clue you in by having a sign outside saying they are serving it that day. The staff was friendly and told me it would be a few minutes to get my stew. It cost 15 dollars which I felt was fair for the amount of food i got. this dish takes hours to make and I have been missing it since Rice and Beans left the neighborhood. it is not as in depth the flavor but still good for when I am in the mood for this. I would definitely get it again.

Always so delicious and the staff is amazing! It's great to have the pizzeria so close to home that offers so much more than pizza.

The best! Fast service and friendly staffs! Would definitely be back! Next time I will try the chicken buffalo half with frango e catupiry.

I had a great experience here before the pandemic but it seems the quality has been changed. The toppings were dry especially the hard-boiled eggs. The pizza had a lack of sauce. It used to be one of my favorite pizza places but not anymore. Hopefully, I have a better experience when I order next time.

This review is for delivery only! I just want to say this place has the best Italian style Margherita pizza I've ever tried. It's usually my go-to flavor when I have pizza; it's the safe bet, but the taste of this one has me craving more. I live close by and order delivery from here at least 3x a month with my sister. The food is always freshly made, and they never fail to keep it hot and deliver in a reasonable time. I've also tried the penne vodka pasta, which was also very creamy and delicious. I'll definitely come and eat here one day to get the full experience, but so far this place has exceeded my expectations in service and quality!

Upon first glance, Casa Theodoro looks just like any pizzeria. Dig a little deeper and one will notice that aside from usual NYC pizza offerings, they have an interesting mix of various toppings that seem unusual or unique. This is no ordinary pizzeria folks, this is Brazilian style pizza. I feel like I've eaten here so often in the last year that I should really have a frequent diners card. I can't help it, there is an addictive quality to the pizza that is served here. I will happily come by and order a slice or three, or end up buying a couple of pies to bring home. Delivery is blazing fast, I usually get my food in less than half hour (despite not being in the same hood). Food wise, it all starts with their A Moda Da Casa pie ($13/19), which is topped with an abundance of corn and minced pieces of ham, crispy pieces of bacon, and a load of catupiry (a popular Brazilian cream cheese). A close second is their Portuguesa ($13/19), which consists of ham, hard boiled eggs, heart of palm, onions, and a generous smattering of olives. It doesn't even sound that good but there is an earthy, indulgent quality to each bite. Pizza purists may scoff at the pineapples on the Havaiana, aka Hawaiian pie, but the minced ham with lots of cheese makes up for it. The Carne Seca is a popular once as well since it showcases onions, tomatoes, jerked beef, and more of the catupiry cheese which is everything flavor wise. Case in point: just order a pizza with catupiry on it and everyone wins. They also have an array of dessert pizzas, such as the infamous nutella ($12) which has bits of marshmellow in addition to copious amounts of nutella. The Merengue ($12) is the strawberry version of the nutella, which of course, has lots of nutella. THe Romeiu and Julieta ($12) may be the most indulgent of all with more of the catupiry cream cheese and guava pasta. Or perhaps the Beijinho ($12) would take the cake with coconut, nuts, and lots of condensed milk (!!!). In terms of non-pizza stuff, they have a strangely addicting penne a la vodka pasta and also their mashed potatoes have something similar -- is it MSG / crack / pepper and butter? I'm not sure, but these items deserve recognition. The owner, Karina is the same brain child as the uber popular Pao De Quiejo in nearby Astoria. They have done an outstanding job with Casa Theodoro and I for one, hope to keep ordering pizzas from here for a long time.

Half/ half Eggplant Parmigiana Pizza & Prosciutto Arugula Pizza

Was craving pizza for lunch today and Casa Theodoro delivered, both literally and figuratively! I couldn't choose between 2 flavors and opted for the small half and half pizza, which thoroughly satisfied my craving. The eggplant parm was tasty though the prosciutto arugula really knocked it out of the park. Generous pieces of prosciutto drizzled with a sweet balsamic, I had to work to not polish off the whole thing. Crust is lightly toasted, bit doughy, very tasty. Also ordered a flan which I'll dig into for dinner.

    Brazilian slice $3.75. Excellent

Brazilian slice , you gotta get it. Brazilian sausage, green peppers and onions. That is the trifecta. It was great. Hidden gem.

Do they sell single slices and if so how much for Portuguesa?

Hi Juliana! We have an array of single slices but not from Brazilian toppings. For portuguesa or any Brazilian topping pizzas we have small or large pies which can be half and half too. Come for a visit;)

Who can deliver the most underwhelming plantains and dubious cuts of meat... that are more like a fat delivery system, than part of a main course? It's either that, or both Copacabana and Aroma must have signed a non-compete agreement with their underwhelming offerings. I also get the impression they are trying to broaden their appeal to non-Brazilians. But in their attempt to cater to the broader Latin American palate, they've diluted the vibrancy that Brazilian cuisine is known for. It's like they took a samba dance and turned it into a slow ranchera - it just doesn't have the same energy. Sure, it's a dance, but where's the rhythm, the spirit, the flavor?

Fogo de Chão Brazilian Steakhouse is considered an upscale complete with table linens, celebratory atmosphere, and "all-you-can-eat" venue, typically with a bustling, energetic Southern Brazilian cuisine, serving churrasco barbecue style meats and traditional side dishes. This location is in Elmhurst, Queens, NYC and adjacent to Queens Center Mall where patrons can shop and subsequently conclude the day with a wonderful meal. Party of two for "All For One Price" continuous, fire-roasted cuts brought to your table, endless sides, and seasonal specialties from the Market Table - all for one price. The "Market Table" is a open buffet which includes fruits, vegetables, and seafood. This Market Table is very large. Food is very fresh and abundant readiness. I made the mistake to ruin my appetite with crackers mere hour before sitting at our table. Fire roasted meat distribution to table and carved with patrons catching a piece using a tong. Fogo is a meat lover's paradise for a heavy steak meal. The bottom sirloin or bacon wrapped steak, is noted by Yelpers, always dry. The parmesan crusted pork is flavorful and surprisingly juicy. I highly enjoyed the salmon and Caesar salad. The Green Card system is a signaling device used in traditional Brazilian service, known as Churrasco which allows patrons to control the pace of a meal of the "all-you-can-eat" buffet experience. Green Side (Go): When you place the card with the green side facing up, it signals the Gaucho chefs that you want to continue receiving service. Continuous Service: Chefs will frequently visit your table to carve various fire-roasted meats directly onto your plate, including signature cuts like Picanha (top sirloin), Filet Mignon, Ribeye, and lamb chops. Red Side (Stop): When you need a break or are finished, you turn the card to the red side to signal the chefs to stop. Rosé, Montes "Cherub" Colchagua Valley, Chile Dry, seductive, and elegant, it is a very smooth good finish. This wine may me float. I always have a predilection for wine. Caipirinha, Brazil's national cocktail This drink is made with cachaça (a sugar cane), hard liquor, sugar and lime with ice. It's refreshing for my friend. Chocolate Molten cake with vanilla ice cream One word: WOW! Customer service is very attentive and polite with kindness in a celebratory positive mood. Our party of two were inquired if we needed anything during mid-dinning experience and my friend requested Brazilian grilled cheese, espetinhos de queijo with honey. Pão de queijo, Brazilian cheese puff bread is served. High ceilings and there is a large relief statue of Antônio Caringi, Brazilian sculptor (1905-1981). Business cards and mints are abundantly available for grabs. I strongly suggest table reservations in advance, particularly for weekends and holidays as this large dining hall was bewilderingly very quickly filled as we dined on extreme artic cold February, Saturday. Every day can be one's birthday celebration. I think being alive with another tomorrow is a reason to be celebratory. I would surely return for another visit - enter empty stomach.

The chicken stood well on its own. The filet mignon in the Lomo Salteado was not seasoned. It was so bland that not even the extra salt that I added could fix the taste, but the Yucca Fries were outstanding--especially when dipped in some green sauce. The Arroz Chaufa with Shrimp also let me down. It tasted like slightly rancid oil was used to make it. The shrimp did not taste fresh caught, either, and the chicken was pitifully dry.
