Thin with a light orange color. Flavorful, but I like my salsa thicker with a bit of kick. This had no kick whatsoever. The chips were thick and crunchy. I'm in town for 15 more nights. I may try again if the mood strikes me. Service was good. It was a bit loud as the whole crew and some customers were watching World Cup Soccer.

Simple, fresh, and full of flavor. On the side, I went with their esquites which was a yellow corn, slathered with a tangy crema, sprinkled with cotija cheese, chili powder, and a squeeze of lime. Sweet with just the right amount of spice -- the perfect complement to the tacos. Service: This spot runs on a fast-casual setup: you place your order at the counter and pick it up at the other end when it's ready. There's no traditional table service here -- they don't bus tables or check in during your meal -- but the process is quick, easy, and keeps things moving. Ambiance: The space has a casual, modern taqueria feel with a mix of rustic wood walls, warm lighting, and simple seating. Long bench seating lines one side with small tables, giving it a cozy but no-frills vibe. Since you order at the counter, you can watch the kitchen crew preparing fresh food as you wait -- which adds to the energy and authenticity of the place. It's more of a quick-bite atmosphere than a sit-and-linger spot, but it's clean, bright, and comfortable enough whether you're grabbing lunch solo or stopping in with a friend. Value: For $20.98, I got three tacos and a side of street corn. It's not the cheapest taco spot in town, but the handmade tortillas, quality steak, and generous portions help justify the price. Recommend: If you're craving authentic, no-frills tacos with bold flavors and fresh tortillas, this is the spot. Perfect for a quick lunch, a casual dinner, or even a takeout taco fix. This is my go-to place for tacos in the Lehigh Valley.

This was our first time trying Casa Catrina. The space is beautifully decorated, creating a warm…read moreand welcoming atmosphere. Our server was friendly and attentive, which we appreciated. Unfortunately, that's where the positives end. We started with the guacamole appetizer, which was quite small for the price. Our main dishes were fine but nothing special. Food is not particularly authentic apart from the salsa. We also requested some hot sauce and were surprised to find there was an extra charge for it once the bill came, it was homemade but we would have been happy with a bottle of Tapatio. Overall, we probably won't be back. There are definitely better options for quality Mexican food in the Valley, at a more reasonable price point.

I've been a customer since this location first turned into a Mexican restaurant years ago. First…read moreDon Juan and now Casa Catrina. I've been back several times and always wanted to be much happier after the experience, but unfortunately cannot report such an experience after my latest visit. Firstly, the place is very attractive, so felicitaciones to the person responsible for the design. Unfortunately, as the case with many restaurants, more attention is put into the decor than the food. I'll make this quick... My chicken enchiladas were very mediocre, without much flavor, and delivered lukewarm to the table. The chips are quite good. The salsa is mediocre. The hot green salsa is not good at all. The presentation on the plate was really poor, with the items haphazardly placed with no adornment with cilantro or anything to make the dish look appealing. The chicken was not all white meat and not very flavorful... And not much of it. Service was just ok... Nothing more than the minimal expected. The prices are about in line with other Mexican restaurants, but this one nickels and dimes you--actually dollars--for any common small things you might ask for, such as a couple of skinny lime wedges. I can't speak to the overall bar-drink quality, but there's a nice cocktail menu with some creative offerings. I tasted the tequila sunrise margarita and thought it was a bit imbalanced and light on the sour element. It's too bad. The place is really cozy and the paintings are fantastic. They're framed with ornate, painted borders and are set against a light-colored wall, giving the restaurant a warm, inviting atmosphere. The Day of the Dead theme adds a cultural touch, celebrating Mexican heritage which adds to the experience. Unfortunately, the kitchen needs to up its game to match the quality of the art. Not planning on returning soon... although I wish them well. I will drive significantly farther to go to Plaza Azteca, but we'll try them again in another 6 months or so in hopes of improvement. Casa Catrina is less than a mile from my house, so I greatly want them to succeed, but they need to make changes in their food quality.

What I really like about this place is that everything can be customized exactly what you want. I ordered the tostada. I added the Mexican chorizo, pico, sour cream, cheese, and avocado. This is a fast food establishment so expect a very casual atmosphere with self serve drinks. Great prices and something for everyone.

McCall's is a tiny spot in an old post office building. They got a decent pub menu (sandwiches,…read morewraps, and apps) and a great beer selection. Service is typically at the bar, however I have historically received table service when they were slow - it really all depends on the bartender and the crowd. I ordered their mushroom and swiss smashburger and paired that with a side of sweet potato fries. The burger was good flavor but with how thin the patty is, I would have liked a little more mushroom and a little less arugula. I also would, in the future, add that second patty in there to beef it up a bit (no pun intended). The fries were perfect and crisp outside with a soft warm inside. I do wish there was a caramel or syrup dipping sauce with them but they again had good flavor as is so it's not a big deal to eat them plain. I'd say overall McCall's is a great option if you're looking to try some good craft beer, watch a game, or just get a simple bite to eat.

Benedict was cooked like it should, hollandaise wasn't broke, crab cake was fried giving it a nice crunch. Overall great experience! I even noticed they have special night such as tacos and free ice cream, think I saw a video game but not sure. We got chicken fingers and fries for our daughter, I had the boneless wings with the Hot N Honey sauce and a side of sweet potato fries, and my wife had the fettuccine Alfredo. Everything was delicious. We also tried the blueberry lemon margaritas, which were excellent. Our server was Lucas or Logan -- apologies, I'm terrible with names -- and we were shocked when we found out it was only his third day. He was honestly one of the best servers we've had anywhere. He was extremely attentive, quick with everything, friendly, and genuinely made us feel welcome. You would never have guessed he was brand new. The history of the place is also incredibly cool and ended up sending us down a whole rabbit hole afterward. Knowing how old the building is and how much local history is tied to it made the atmosphere even more interesting. Between the great food, drinks, history, atmosphere, and fantastic service, this ended up being one of the highlights of our trip. We'll absolutely be back the next time we're in the area!

Creamy lobster on top of nori inside of a light and fluffy bun. It was a fun twist on a classic bite. For the main I ordered the wagyu burger. I ordered it rare and it was not the right call. The burger was so thick that it didn't get a great sear on the outside and was falling apart. I did hear a waitress recommend medium well due to the size and I would definitely suggest that to anyone who tries it. It had a great flavor so I would still recommend you try it. I also ordered the notch fried rice bowl. Chinese sausage, pork belly, peas, carrots, bell peppers, tomatoes, garlic, broccoli, egg, bean sprouts, togarashi spice, and topped with a dippy egg. This dish was savory, Asian fusion cuisine mixed with something that felt like comfort food. If you go here, this is what I would recommend you try, but their whole menu looked incredible.
