Jenna and Sadie had me up walking on my feet by the end of the first week and on my own around the room by discharge day. I had nothing but great experiences here. The nurses, doctors, aides and anyone else who entered your room was polite and professional. The rooms are kept very clean and bedding changed on time. I made an appointment for ketamine & for other issues I wanted to talk about because I have to go much further normally to big cities and spend a few nights away from home, on hotels and such. I thought Id save myself a train/bus ride, hotels, eating out. So I arrive at his clinic in Arroyo grande which is an hour and a half drive, & I do the intake form, they take me back, I pee in a cup, & then I return to the waiting room & after 10 minutes the secretary comes out and says "oh Im so sorry but the doctor wants another $300" (in addition to the $200 Ive already paid) This is after I had talked to her about my LONG drive as small talk. Perhaps he thought he could extort me for more money or maybe he does the old bait & switch on other people who are suffering from depression/suicidal ideation/dysphoria/OCD/ADHD and a host of other problems I dont care to list publicly, but the list goes on Anyway Im already checked in, Ive paid $200 and now he demands an extra $300. The ostensible excuse was "oh, youre a new patient because its been a while" but thats clearly BS. When he came out of the office, he glared at me, and I dont really feel like this guy has much desire for helping people. It was a cold, blank stare. I think hes a very typical money-grubber with a vacuous gaze who is willing to send people who are struggling with very serious mental issues back out onto the street if they dont fork out the money. He thought I would cave because I drove so far, but he was wrong. I chose to suffer rather than play that game. This guy is the very opposite of the type who actually mean it when they take the hippocratic oath. I noticed this regarding the cold/ostentatious ambiance on my first couple sessions with him, but to avoid having to go to los angeles- and ironically in the hope of saving time & money- I was willing to overlook it. At some point, governments/communities are going to have to get serious and start screening people for the profession which attract psychopathic personalities or the callous racketeering & perpetual insidious corruption will remain exactly as it is & as its always been.

The other needed surgery and my first experience with Moscardi was a good one, so I requested to see them again to my Orthopedic. I just completed my last physical therapy session and I couldn't be happier with the result. And my Ortho is pleased as well. The staff is friendly and professional. They followed an updated regiment on my chart so that I continued to improve range of motion and strength back to my shoulder. I like the consistent, slow process to prevent a re-tear by over doing it. Louis is constantly observing the room while working on other patients to make sure proper form is being practiced. Scheduling appointments was very easy and they are accommodating if you need to reschedule when the need arises. A Big Dose Of Joy…read more.... My wife and I have always been big fans of farm animals. Cows, goats, horses, sheep. By and large, they're some of the sweetest beings on earth. Fortunately, we've got several sanctuaries nearby which provide much needed care for abandoned, abused and/or neglected animals. One such place is the Rancho Burro Donkey Sanctuary about 10-15 minutes northeast of the village part of Arroyo Grande. A group of 5 made arrangements with the owner, Jim Eckford, to tour the property and visit their residents during a late Thursday morning. Set in the foothills of the coast range amidst ranches and vineyards, Rancho Burro is a sight to behold. The grounds are gorgeous, facilities very well maintained and you feel as if civilization is far away...although, of course, it's actually nearby. Jim and his wife, Carlen, along with a few employees and several volunteers, make a home for 11 donkeys and 1 burro (a cross between a horse and donkey). Forget any negative myths you might have about donkeys. After giving you the "smell test", these guys and gals could not have been more friendly. During the hour we spent in their corral, Jim gave us a quick lesson in the history of each donkey and encouraged us to get up close and personal. Just like people, they all had a different personality. However, the common denominator was an undeniable sweetness. The sanctuary is a not-for-profit 501c(3) organization and relies on grants and donations. Besides private tours like our group of 5, they also host larger ones such as a girl scout troop scheduled for later that same day. If your heart appreciates a shot of pure joy, check out the Rancho Burro Donkey Sanctuary. You'll never consider donkeys in the same way.
