I was going through…read morecancer treatment, and was trying to do everything on my own*: I was living alone, driving myself to appointments, doing all my grocery shopping and errands, etc. As the chemo built up in my system and I lost my appetite and sense of taste, I kinda stopped eating, which caused one of my daily prescription meds to build up to a toxic level. My body and brain shut down, and a welfare check called in by family got there just in the nick of time! Everyone at Mission View was so wonderful to me. Very special and caring folks. I took advantage of every therapy offered to me: physical, occupational, speech, and cognitive. When I was admitted I couldn't walk unaided and didn't know what year it was, but when I was discharged I was almost back to normal which I think surprised everyone! The food is fine. Eat as much as you can if you want to be released, you need the strength. It's a rehab facility, not a restaurant! Treat the staff with kindness and respect, and you'll get the same in return. They work so hard! I had a total meltdown one day where I was crying a lot and not working very hard in my sessions, and my therapists were so kind and gentle with me. My PT Tim let me sit alone in the courtyard with a cup of coffee for a while after our session, and my OT Stacy offered me a shower instead of working on more challenging activities. Nurse Rubi hugged me and assured me I'd be going home soon, because my brain was still foggy and I told her I feared I'd never get to leave lol. I could go on and and on, but in summary - if you're going there for a relatively short time to get strong again after an accident, incident, or surgery - follow the rules, respect the staff, eat the food, don't skip any of your therapies, and I can almost guarantee you'll have a good experience. It'll be tough some days, especially if you're used to living alone like I am, but you'll get through it. Stay positive! (*I'm staying with family now while I finish treatment, they're taking me to my appointments and making sure I'm eating well, so I likely won't end up in rehab again. It's an older facility, but the care and staff there more than make up for that. We found all the nurses and support staff to be excellent. They were all very attentive to my aunt, and did not hesitate to order testing to make sure that she was recuperating well. Her wound care nurse, Amanda, was excellent and kept me well informed of her progress. The social worker, Janice, was very helpful and made the whole process easier. My aunt's only criticism was regarding the housekeeping staff, it sometimes took hours to get their bathroom cleaned up (one bathroom is shared by 4 patients). I was very pleased with my aunt's care here & wouldn't hesitate to use this facility again.

During my second visit: * I only saw the PT briefly before being directed to a young assistant who was not a physical therapist. * The treatment room was extremely cramped with essentially no privacy between patients. * While using ultrasound on my finger joint, the assistant became distracted in a side conversation with another staff member. * The ultrasound wand was repeatedly left sitting in one place instead of being kept moving. * This caused a burning sensation in the joint. I understand ultrasound is normally kept moving during treatment, which is why this concerned me. * I moved the wand several times myself until I eventually asked her to stop as the discomfort was increasing. * I was also instructed to perform one of the exercises incorrectly. When I mentioned the ultrasound issue to the PT on my way out, the concern did not appear to be taken seriously. When I later called to cancel my remaining appointments, I had to leave multiple voicemails during business hours and received no call back. After four attempts I finally reached the receptionist. Overall, in my experience this did not reflect the level of patient attention or professionalism I expect from a physical therapy clinic. I'm sharing this feedback in hopes it helps improve patient care going forward. I have since switched to AG Physical Therapy, where experienced therapists provide focused, professional care.

This is a no nonsense type of physical therapy. If you're looking for something that's fancy, this is not it. This is a physical therapy, that works at getting you back to your optimum health. My introduction to the front office was not good at all. I spoke with Jeremy in that regard and let him know exactly how I felt about the greeting I received from the lady in the front. Since that time, I strictly deal with the younger lady and my front office experience has gone much better for me.

I saw Louis Moscardi 12 years ago for physical therapy following a rotator cuff surgery on one…read moreshoulder. The other needed surgery and my first experience with Moscardi was a good one, so I requested to see them again to my Orthopedic. I just completed my last physical therapy session and I couldn't be happier with the result. And my Ortho is pleased as well. The staff is friendly and professional. They followed an updated regiment on my chart so that I continued to improve range of motion and strength back to my shoulder. I like the consistent, slow process to prevent a re-tear by over doing it. Louis is constantly observing the room while working on other patients to make sure proper form is being practiced. Scheduling appointments was very easy and they are accommodating if you need to reschedule when the need arises. If you are considering surgery with an Orthopedic, or have a minor sprain/injury, proper healing starts with proper movement, Louis and his staff will have you back in the saddle in the right amount of time! They sent me home with a huge leg brace with absolutely no instructions for the brace. Found out 2 days later from my in-home PT, that it was put on backwards by the surgery center. At one point It fell off, and I had no idea on how to put it back on. I also didn't know how long to keep it on. I didn't receive any information about the medications. I didn't know when to start taking them, if it was too early, how much to take, or if I should take stool softener. There were conflicting instructions from different sources. This was just a few of the many many issues that I had at this place. Would not recommend!

Had a tricky situation a few days ago, and you were not, at first, able to accommodate, due to insurance stipulations. Of course, also being a business, I respect that. Insurance can be a real headache. I must say, after a call and discussion, very thoughtful and empathetic, might I add, you were able to work with our client. I realize this may not always be the case, as the insurance companies run our lives, but, in this case, you truly made a difference. Nothing but kudos to you all. Here are the issues we encountered: 1. Pressured at intake…read moreto fill out many forms. No time to read and understand them. No copies of these forms given to us so we did not know about the $70 fee for cancelling with less than 24hr notice. 2. Cancellation fee is excessive based on actual time the therapist spend with us (15 minutes). 3. No 'empathy' from staff for someone who has cancer, recent back surgery and could not get out of bed. Called as soon as we could but no one ever answers the phone. 4. A one sided arrangement. Therapist was always at least 10 minutes late for appointments but we get charged for a late cancellation. This says they do not value their clients time. 5. Quick to threaten. When asked about the fairness of a late charge, their first response is to threaten to turn you over to collections. 6. No reminder calls or texts. A reminder which should include cancel fee information is not part of their business process. Conclusion: Poorly run business with poor business practices. There are many physical therapy services in our area. Choose another.

My friend is never in her room or bed until nighttime. Lots of activities to keep their minds active. I can bring my dog in to visit and there is a farm on property where you can see the pigs.
