Great Father's Day meal. Fajitas for 2 could feed 4. I like when they give more than 3 tortillas per person. We appreciated the service

Great little Mexican joint on the main strip. Classic menu with many options, food is good, portions are large, and the service was honestly the fastest I've ever had at a restaurant. I couldn't believe how quickly they got the food out to us. Staff is very friendly as well. Highly recommended!! read more

Excellent place to stop! We stopped on a whim during a road trip. Cozy place with delicious food at reasonable prices.

we were stopping here to get some food for a road trip.the service was horrendous and made me super uncomfortable and the prices looked reasonable but the server basically robbed us. Chips were 4 dollars on the menu but when the service fee was added they were 13 dollars and we didn't even get the chips. read more

Super cute little place in Fairplay! Food was delicious, HUGE portions, and great prices! My husband and I had dinner for $30 - this is unheard of in Denver! We will definitely return on our next visit to Fairplay! read more

My family and I had an amazing experience at Casa Sanchez! Great food and service. Just what we needed after a day on the mountain. Would recommend read more

We really enjoyed this place. We were driving past and were hungry. This was good authentic Mexican food run by people from Mexico. I have the albóndiga soup and it was delicious and we had fajitas with cheese which I actually think would've been better without the cheese. but definitely if you like good authentic Mexican food this is your place to go, if you like Americanized Mexican food, don't go here. the servers were wonderful young handsome boys, who all speak Spanish, the Mexican way, we enjoyed it! read more

we ate at Casa Sanchez a couple weeks ago, we were very impressed with cleanliness of the restaurant and restroom. Our waiter was very attentive. Food was better than any Mexican food we have had in all of Denver.. Would highly recommend this place over any other restaurant In Fairplay!! read more

Amazing chips, salsa, and white cheese dip. Great taco deals on Wednesday. We'll definitely be back!!!

WOW!! What an amazing new Mexican restaurant in FairPlay. Everything we had was awesome. The carnitas de Puerco was so moist and flavorful. Carnitas tacos were huge and the sopaillia's were an amazing finish. If you're looking for a great meal and outstanding service, come try this place!!!! Super affordable too!! read more

Loved the chicken fajitas. Large quantities. Servers are very friendly. Will keep coming back.

After visiting Casa Sanchez II in Leadville previously, I had high expectations. After all, when I think quality, small town Mexican food, the Casa Sanchez brand immediately comes to mind. That said, I was greeted by a squat building one could easily pass. I suggest better signage, because I did, in fact, pass it. Parking is easy as there is ample street parking, because this Fairplay. There is also a lot just on the other side of Mr. Burro's (which is next door to Casa Sanchez), if parking lots are more your speed. Then I made my entrance. If your expecting the lively atmosphere one expects from having visited Casa Sanchez II, one would be a bit disappointed. The interior possessed a staid quality; there was a distinct lack of adventurous decor. Now, if you are a fan of Vicente Fernandez Gomez, the famous Mexican singer (and if you are, you didn't need me to tell you who this man is), you'll be in heaven. He was played on a non-stop loop on the TV. I must say, he has a good voice, though I felt his stage presence was lacking. But I digress. Moving on to the food....the chips and salsa were on point, though the salsa was a bit to spicy for me, but then again, I don't do spice well. Chips were fresh. On to the main course, the fajitas, because I'm a wild man. I chose the steak option. Served with a side of rice and beans, I suggest being very careful with the plate the sides are on. That plate is VERY hot, and I had to learn that lesson the hard way. I assure you, when the waiter says the plate is hot, he's not joking. You will like the fajitas, just trust me here. I know you're probably thinking, what's the cost? I say reasonable. Remember, you're in Fairplay, and getting the supply chain out to that metropolis is likely challenging, so to get this meal for the reasonable price I did was an impressive feat in and of itself. The service was timely, which I appreciate. One point of contention here was the lack of ice with the water. I'm still confused why the two did not come together. If eating Mexican food with some kick, you'd think you'd get cold water automatically. Alas, this was not the case. This was easily rectified by simply asking, and so I did, and the waiter obliged. I felt like a big timer. Oh, I should mention the margarita. You're going to a Mexican restaurant, so you want a margarita, right? Well my friend, I suggest you pass that one on by. The original Casa Sanchez does not do a great margarita. If you want a slushee sans tequila, this is for you. But if you order a margarita expecting, well, a margarita, you'll be sad. I've told you this because I don't want you blaming me for making a bad life choice on that one. You have been warned. Maybe it was the fact that it was a mango margarita, I don't know. And yes, I know margaritas should not be of the mango variety, but work with me here. I didn't investigate the situation further. There was a liquor store up the street that desperately needed my attention. read more

We recently bought a vacation home here in Fairplay and have slowly been trying every restaurant in the area. Not only is Casa Sanchez the best in the valley, it is probably the best AUTHENTIC Mexican food I've had in Colorado. A very small, quaint older building, but it gives you the mountain-town nostalgia. Once seated service is always immediate, we have never had to wait more than 1 min to see our server. Chips, salsa (some of the best fresh salsa I've ever had), and drinks are on the table with in 5 mins. Food comes out with in 15-20. The food is absolutely incredible, authentically spicy, flavorful and never over cooked. The other Mexican restaurants in the area are definitely a watered-down gringo type of food. Even Casa Sanchez's refried beans have this incredible smokey flavor. Casa Sanchez also has an incredibly smooth tequila, in which they bring you free shots at the end of the night. I am not a tequila drinker by any means but it is so smooth, I actually look forward to the shots/margaritas. I highly recommend this restaurant! read more
