Took a ride to Fairplay from Florissant to get a bite to eat. This place was amazing. Food was fantastic and the service was fast and waiter was attentive Asked for a recommendation between two dishes. Went with the carnitas burrito and was not disappointed. The pork was tender and tasty. Husband had the carne asada tacos and they were flavorful as well. Salsas were so good we could have made a meal of the chips and salsa but glad we didn't because the entree was so awesome We will definitely will be making the drive back for truly great Mexican food. Usually drive into Woodland Park but this is worth the few extra miles. Our go to for Mexican food from now on. read more

Needed to take a break driving from Glenwood Springs to Colorado Springs and since we could park at the Visitor Center (van plus 16ft trailer) we stopped. Very cool spot. Has indoor and outdoor seating! Large menu of all the staples. Good inexpensive margaritas! We both ate great for $35 with one margarita only. Service was friendly and professional. Happy customers. Owner present and attentive. read more

Food, service, and ambiance was excellent. I would drive 7 hours from texas to enjoy.

Went tonight, our first Mexican food in colorado and it was so bad we couldn't even eat it. Salt, pepper, garlic and paprika is how you season fajitas... also quesadillas should not have cheddar cheese .. white cheese, always. Even the salsa was bad and the chips had a burnt taste. Almost 100 bucks for 4 people for a meal we ate maybe 10% of... so many good reviews of this place must be from people who've never eaten south texas mexican food. read more

Best Mexican food in all of Colorado!!! Had the Pregnant burrito and supreme burrito. Both fabulous. You can always tell by the chips and salsa! Staff is fantastic as well. read more

OMG - that's all I can say. I was NOT expecting such a delicious restaurant on our drive through Fairplay. The service was super fast, the food included GIANT portions for a great price, and everything was delicious. I particularly loved their salsa that comes with the chips, because it's not at all like salsa from a jar. The door was open and some flies were buzzing around, but that's to be expected in the summer. Will definitely be back! read more

Huge portions. We Got the burrito supreme it was the length of my forearm. Filled the plate and the 3 combo plate. Super filling food came quickly very friendly service would absolutely recommend. Combo plate was $14.49 burrito was $13.99 read more

I'm here on a gorgeous Wednesday afternoon, sitting in the spacious covered outdoor patio area with my loyal fur friend. The gold margarita is very nice and we also enjoyed a burrito with shredded beef. This is one Mexican restaurant where the chips are salsa are still brought out as soon as you sit down. The service was very attentive. read more

Absolutely love Casa Sanchez! So welcoming and friendly, cozy and clean. Loved the music and videos playing while we enjoyed our meal. The food was delicious and the tequila was too. I went with the combo 3 and it was so much food, everything was delicious. Chile relleno was the stand out of the plate. Although the beef enchilada was perfection and the chicken taco was good too. The guys each had a fajita meal. One chicken/one steak, both were fabulous with all the fixings. House chips, salsa, and margs were top notch. Stefan had a kiwi marg and loved it. Cheers! Can't wait to go back! read more

We ate outside (great ambiance, lots of space and shade) and the service was extremely quick! We were sat down immediately and given chips, a high chair for our little guy, and waters. Within a minute, the free chips and two different kinds of salsa arrived - both were great and the chips were fresh. We ordered and the food came out within 5 minutes - I was so impressed with the service and speed. The food was great, too. Photo included. We were excited to have a new Mexican restaurant in town and thought it was pretty good our first few visits. Not so much anymore. The food was bland and overcooked, the margaritas are mostly syrup and even the salsa was lacking something. The bathrooms needed attention and other ongoing repairs seem to be long forgotten. The staff is friendly, but we're not going back for chitchat. read more

Service was great and the chicken mole was amazing! They make their mole sauce and it was some of the best I've had anywhere! Definitely worth the stop read more

Great place! Service was great. Food was flavorful. They sent a tequila on the house for dessert. Please come by! Recommended 10/10.

I wish I could give a good or even decent review but after eating here several times I would be lying if I said the food was even mediocre. The chips and salsa taste burnt and pretty flavorless even after putting a ton of salt on them. For dinner I ordered the fried burrito with ground beef the first time. The burrito was so soggy one one side that it tasted as if were soaked in water. Service was very slow and not too friendly either. Not cheap and would try somewhere over the pass or somewhere else in Fairplay like Milonzi's. read more

We finally stopped by and were so glad we did. Portions were huge. Kids meals are the size of an adults and my hubby and I shared 1 order of fajitas which was definitely big enough for 2 hungry people to share. Everything was fresh and tasty. Other reviewers mentioned lack of taste and I actually appreciate things are not oversalted here! Free chips comes with 2 salsas. They even gave us complimentary tequila shots with our bill, maybe for the new year. Attentive and friendly service. Anyway, can't wait to come back! read more

Fantastic food! Amazing service. I studied in central Mexico in college and their food here is authentic and delicious! Best bang for your buck in this entire town!! Don't skip out on this! Chips and salsa with freshly made salsa (pico and tomatillo). Waiter brought my husband some homemade tequila and was just it OUTSTANDING! Something for everyone, even the kids. HUGE portions, so yay for leftovers! read more

My husband loved his chipotle chicken enchiladas. I'm a vegetarian & was not as pleased. My order was inaccurate twice in 1-visit... said something the 1st time & let it slide out of frustration the 2nd. The problem seemed to be an English/Spanish issue between our waiter & myself, regarding vegetarian revisions. He didn't understand what I was trying to convey (repeatedly asking another staff member to interpret) . If you see what you like AS WRITTEN on the menu or speak Spanish you shouldn't have problem. read more

Food was yummy. Margarita was perfectly made. Free shot of tequila as a bonus. Service was great! Indoor and outdoor seating.

The food was very basic but perfect for a family stop, just be warned that the food portions are huge. The atmosphere was very awkward, there was no music or background noise when I was there. And when the food smells would dissipate the place smelled like a bathroom. However the employees were very nice and accommodating. read more

It wasn't bad, but everything was missing something. Salt? Literally all 4 of our meals, even the salsa, just lacked flavor. When we tasted the salsas with chips I was worried we were in for more of the same. I wasn't wrong. Kinda disappointed, but not awful. read more

We very much enjoyed the outdoor patio in this low key restaurant. Of the dishes we tried, the aguachiles verde is superb, with a playful peppery lime flavor that perfectly complements the shrimp/avocado/onion ensemble it is served with. Also enjoyed the enchiladas mole. We recommend the Margarita natural, they were a little dangerous as they were so easy to drink. read more

Pretty average overall, similar to their Leadville restaurant. Dirty water glasses had to be sent back. Never a good opening impression. Salsa and chips are pretty good. Tamales are not good. House marg on the rocks was below average. Supreme burrito was below average. Not much taste. Went for taco Tuesday after trying several dishes for dinner when they opened a few months ago. Taco meat is tasteless and they didn't drain it. Had water/liquid literally running out of it. Have never encountered that before. Taco shells and all other ingredients (lettuce, toms, cheese) were great. As a local we were hoping for better since dining choices are limited in Fairplay. Prob give them another shot to try some other dishes but not very hopeful it will improve. read more

They have 99c tacos on Tuesday. And they taste exactly what a 99c taco would. But hey I'm not really complaining bc everything else was delicious. Fajitas, chips, salsa and the burrito was absolutely delicious. Rodrigo our server was also really great. Idk if it was just him but they gave us all a shot of tequila at the end. Any restaurant that does that deserves a 5 star review read more

Food was decent... I'm not sure if it was the owner but was very rude to one of the waiters that is in training and doesn't speak english. Just hate how he treated his worker. Could've gotten more stars but honestly owner doesn't deserve it. The waiter Alvaro was very attentive nice and humble. I hope he gets treated better... read more

Food was great! Staff was friendly. Tried to get a group of 11 in on a Tuesday, wouldn't let us. It was Taco Tuesday. Very popular day.

Service was fast and friendly. The salsa was good. The burrito was not bad, but the beans had a strange taste, didn't eat them.

Food was bland. Beans were watery. Margaritas were too sweet. They tasted like a pre-made margarita mix. I wasn't really hungry, so I ordered tortilla soup. It was also bland and they brought out a trough of tortilla soup that was mostly rice. read more

Went to try Casa Sanchez. I got the chimichanga and a taco. I didn't know what to expect as it was my first time. I'm sorry to say the food was tasteless. The portion was large and there was a lot of meat in both the taco and chimichanga. I just wish I would have enjoyed it. read more
