We were not disappointed in following the suggestion of the clerk at our hotel. This restaurant had great food. The Chile Verde was wonderful and we enjoyed the salsa & chips. Good food but service as always was very slow. Saw some friends and joined their table. Took us 15 minutes before our drink order was taken and we had to go ask for someone to take our order. When it came time to pay our bill, we asked for it but 20 minutes later.....still no bill. If you are not in a rush and have 2 hours to kill and don't mind slow service, the food is good and it is decorated nicely inside. We wanted a quick sit down meal that was reasonably priced. We were seated immediately and brought our drinks with chips and salsa that were delish! The waiter was attentive and friendly. I'm not one to really post reviews, but I've never been treated such a way at a restaurant before. Most of the time, I come here with my family and it's usually a pleasant experience. But this time, it was really disappointing. We were treated with such disrespect and don't know why. We had to ask several times for water, straws, chips and salsa, but we were hardly acknowledged. They treated us as though we were on their nerves or as though they were upset to be at work. I had to get up and go to one of the workers stations to ask AGAIN about an order that we didn't receive, and they had forgotten, or claimed to have forgotten. When they did finally come back with the order, the women had slammed it down on the table and walked away before we could say anything. They didn't give us any time to ask for anything and never once checked on us to make sure we were happy with our meal. They hardly even spoke to us when we would speak to them. Consistently, we would see the waiter and waitress talking about us as they were constantly looking back at us with sour looks. We didn't understand why we were being treated this way, and I, too, saw other customers being treated in a similar way. I don't understand what was going on tonight or if they were just having a bad day, but I would appreciate it if they were to improve on their customer service and have better management. It was truly remarkable to have been treated this way at a restaurant that I used to enjoy and feel happy to support. If I ever do decide to return, I hope this restaurant will have made better changes to improve the restaurant to be a place for people to enjoy and be happy at and not feel like a victim. read more

First of all I chose this place cause friends recommend it.. I am from outta town..I walk in and stand there waiting for the hostess to come... Nothing ... A party of 3 come in and she walks directly up to them to go seat them while I'm standing there I look at her and she doesn't say a word.. Didn't even asked if I was helped... She seats the party of 3 then comes back to me and says can I help you? I tell her I'd like to place the order to go she just gives me this look as if I bothered her.. I order my food, gave her the money to pay for my food. she places the change on the counter.. Not in my hand.. Doesn't even say nothing.. She just walks away. Terrible service.. Chips aren't that great - salsa is ok. I feel that they serve a watered down version of Mexican food. Maybe it's the full bar the draws customers in ...but I feel you can get better quality Mexican food at a better price at Los Mariachis or La Corona. read more

Not the worst, but definitely won't go back again. My wife had the El carbon tacos. Chunks of steak were tasty, but the tortillas were soggy with grease. The chile rehenos were covered in too much batter. Chips were thick instead of thin. Salsa was better than average. read more

I don't know where to begin... my husband and my daughter and i were driving back home from visiting Burney Falls. we were hungry and decided to stop to eat some good food first thing i yelped and came up was Casa Ramos... i was reading the reviews and thought humm sounds good lets stop here. BIG MISTAKE!!! We got there about 2.5 hrs before they were closing. the parking lot was full so i said to myself wow this place has to be good for having a parking lot full. We finally walk in, as we were standing in the front with a toddler in our hands no one bothered to greet us or simply say someone will be right with you... i decided to use the restroom, when i came out my husband and daughter were still standing waiting to be seated. SMH. i told him whats going one didn't anyone came up and said anything he told me no i had to ask and the response he got was 'YOUR GOING TO HAVE TO WAIT" (in a rude voice) mind you when my husband pointed it out who had told him that i know for a fact that was the MANAGER. Finally we got seated by a server who she let us know this is not my section but ill take your order... ummm ok i don't think we have to know that but whatever i said to myself. she finally took our order meanwhile while she did i was in the restroom changing my daughter. i had told my husband order me the POLLO FUNDIDO... ive had my share of queso fundidos in the past and i know for a fact it doesnt have AMERICAN CHEESE. once the Rude Manager brought us the plates he was not nice to us at all and never bothered asking is there anything else i can get you guys... when i looked at my plate... it was horrible. the rice was so dry and flavorless. not even my daughter wanted to eat it and she loves rice. the POLLO FUNDIDO. was coverd with american cheese... what kind of MEXICAN DISH serves there food with that. don't get me wrong i love american cheese but not on top of a burrito. i literally did not eat it. i was so disapointed. we had shitty service and then the food was bad!. my husband was very upset the fact that the MANAGER was Rude to us from the beginning. When he came and asked how was everything (finally) i had told him that why did my dish had american cheese and the rudely replied with it says on the menu... i said ok my bad i guess i didn't read it through... NOT ONCE did he offer to bring me something else or even change my plate for another... ive worked at restaurants before and i know for a fact you should always offer ur customer something so they can be happy... no not him he was so rude about it... i finally asked for the check and yes they did charge us for the plate that i did not eat. my husband was upset he told him look from the beging u gave us attitude, u were rude and u never asked my wife if you could offer her anything else to eat! im not paying you for her dish. OMG he got so mad hahah the fact that my husband told him infront of other customers where he was being so nice to them. my husband only paid for his food that he ate and didnt pay for mines. The last few times, they have given us what we have not ordered. Last night I ordered cheese enchiladas and got chicken. The chicken was so horrible I had to throw it away. Came in off freeway hopeful for good food. At first it seemed nice. I ordered the tostadas which was not what i had read. Usually when you see an "s" behind a word means multiple but no for $10 i got one average sized deep fried tortilla (which is a tostada) with half an inch of refried beans a sprinkle of meat and what seemed like a half a head of lettuce with tomatoes and cheese on top. After removing the excessive amount of lettuce i was left with less food than that of my daughter who ordered off the kids menu! WOW i have never paid soo much to leave a restaurant hungry!! My waiter was very polite but who appeared to be the manager and a waitress proceeded to talk bad things about us in spanish which i understood fully what she said! I have never left a place so angry and disrespected in my life! I have lots of family in the area and will make sure to pass on how rude they can be if they dont think you speak spanish! Where to start... Went to dinner here even though the reviews were less than stellar. First of all, way overpriced. I am talking 17 bucks for a non-authentic mexican meal! We ordered Camarones a la diabla and Molcajete. The diabla shrimp dish was not spicy at all. It tasted like ketchup sauce with a little bit of chillies... The complimentary salsa was spicier. The only plus side is you get a lot of shrimp. Served on a huge flat plate, seems like a lot at first but layers of rice and beans are thin. Even the lettuce was thin. The weirdest part was that the diabla shrimp was made with mushrooms...Super weird just did not belong. The molcajete was a little better, although it was not served in an actual molcajete. Soup tasted burnt...but I am not sure if that is how it is supposed to taste. The meats chicken and steak were not the best quality. We also ordered a sangria. Big portion for $7.50 but very sweet and light on all the booze it is usually made with. Tasted like a boxed sangria not home made. Would not recommend this drink... Story short: we only came here because we had a coupon in the mail for buy one entree get one entree of equal or lesser value free. Waitress who checked us out said we only got the drink free because that was the cheapest thing.. Seriously?! Read the coupon you sent us! ENTREE not drink. We didn't put up a fight. Simply, will not return. I just don't get it... No one should waste their money on this place. read more

I called ahead to reserve a booth and was told totally not necessary as no one there yet. Said we'd not be coming for an hour and could they save a booth for us. Sure and took my nme and said they'd put a reserve on it for me. Arrived an hour later and guess what!?!!! Oh she just gave away the last booth as she forgot. So went to bar for a drink while we waited. Have you ever been to a full service bar "as advertised" without any gin!?! So ordered a vodka martini in which they offered to put sweet vermouth! Finally seated in a booth and when I ordered a cabinet saugivan they promptly brought. White Zinfandel. Nope but second time got a cab. At end of meal order a flan for dessert with one of the dessert drinks on their menu which was hang at my table. Never came. When I asked about it they didn't understand it was ON THIER MENU. I only tipped 15% which my husband thought was too much. I never tip that low but it was not good service and food was just okay but too hard to get it right. Near the Hamoton Inn but will change out reservation next week to somewhere else near a better restaurant. read more
