So, if you were bored enough to read my latest review of Siino's restaurant, you know my wife and I left there in a traditional huff. We ended up going to another of our favorite Lincoln spots, Casa Ramos Mexican Restaurant. We have had so-so, bad, and great experiences here. When we first moved here, this was one of the very first places we tried. Now this was in the heart of the Covid pandemic, so we couldn't judge from that. In the last couple years we have been here about 25-30 times. The last 10 times or so we have thoroughly enjoyed our time. This time the service was good. It's the food I have to talk about. I don't eat red meat, and I'm not a huge seafood fan, so I eat a truckload of chicken. I love chicken in every form. What Casa Ramos does to their chicken is, uh, interesting. The flavor is great, grilled and seasoned wonderfully. It's just that they pound it down till it's about 1/16th of an inch thin. There isn't the slightest hint of juiciness left. I've never tasted jerky, but I can only imagine this is what it's like. I have zero complaints about the quantity of food they serve as I haven't ever finished a whole meal in any of my times there. I'd like them to hold off on the tenderizing a bit and give me a bit more juiciness. Nuff said. That's why 4 stars and not 5. read more

Casa Ramos can be added to the long list of disappointing Mexican restaurants in the area. Service was very friendly and our orders came out quickly. However, salsa and drink refills were never offered, once our food arrived we weren't checked in on, and at times it seemed the servers were avoiding eye-contact as they hurried by. In fairness, the handful of servers were far outnumbered by patrons coming in for lunch. The place was dusty and unkempt. Fabric and foam on the seats of the booths was dirty, thread bare, and gouged open in places. Not the most sanitary, appetizing, or inviting. The food looked good, but was all very bland. Even the two kinds of salsa were lacking flavor. Nothing gross or particularly bad, just bland and unmemorable. Another place to mark off the list. read more

Without a doubt, overall Casa Ramos is the best Mexican restaurant in the area. The food is great--don't go there if you're on a diet as the portions are huge. The ambience is really good, and they have a nice selection of drinks. I highly recommend Casa Ramos to those who like Mexican food. read more

How do you finish a long day of exploring Yosemite before retiring to your hotel? Some Mexican food at Casa Ramos is a great option! We were hungry when we arrived, having been unable to have lunch, so we were ready for just about anything. The chips and salsa basket was constantly emptied by us for starters. We ordered cheese dip, which was delicious but not our favorite (I had been informed earlier in the trip that west coasters don't usually eat "queso" the way east coasters do). I saw the prices and was a little shocked at the cost of a burrito, but I soon learned how much worth it they are! My wife got the chicken fajitas, and I got the steak fajita burrito. Both of us thought these were some of the best seasoned fajitas we have ever had! And the portions are large enough to comfortably save for another meal (if you don't skip a meal like us). I would strongly recommend anyone traveling through or staying in Sacramento to give this place a try; you won't be disappointed! read more

We dined on a Friday evening and tried a variety of entrees. The restaurant was busy and visibly understaffed. The hostess and first to greet our table were very nice and friendly. The waiter was super rushed with no care for quality of service. The food was beyond disappointing. Overall not a great experience and there is much better Mexican food nearby. Had a very nice meal here. Skinny Margarita was very tasty and tart, very generous with the tequila. Had a scallop with mushroom butter sauce entree, very, very good-never had scallops in a mexican restaurant before. Tamale was very good as were the enchilidas. Review based on 4 or 5 visits over the past 6 months. Pros: - Nice comfortable dining room. Lots of booths with colorful sunflowers carved in the tops. Overall comforting environment. - Food is really good! Maybe not five star but honestly I haven't had one bad meal. Mocajete, fajitas, posole,.albondigas, all tasty. Guacamole is good too. - Friendly and efficient service. No complaints there. Cons: - Prices are a bit high. Almost $20 for a burrito is just too much. Typical American Mexican sit down service restaurant. Mexican decor. Friendly service, but not fast. Sunday evening 4 PM not busy. Margarita was good, beer was fine. Chips and salsa were good, though this salsa was mild. Significant other had seafood enchiladas, which were good fresh fish. I ordered the Mariscos Mojo de Ajo, which is supposed to be a Mexican style shrimp scampi. The good news is the shrimp and the scallops were very fresh. The bad news is that they were drenched in an inch of butter. No taste except butter. Sad because I think it would've been really good if they just didn't add so much butter. read more

Went this week to Casa Ramos and got a combination plate that included an enchilada and a tostada. I requested no beans and got a double serving of fried rice. It was really good food! Love this location and such a nice drive out of town for us. We love deep fried ice cream and this place did not disappoint :) Love the atmosphere and low key Spanish music. Great staff. Very bad experience, takeout order, not prepared as asked, burrito served wet not asked for, served open ended like a enchilada, had sour cream in it not asked for and it was flat thin maybe half inch thick , I had two orders with rice n beans .... 52$!!!! I took it back for refund and idiot non customer oriented manager argued with me on price I paid! With the receipt in front of him! If you want good hot BIG flavorful burritos go across the plaza to Dos Hermanos Taqueria, half the price and way way better read more

I'm Not sure if we pick bad nights or what, but the service is awful. Food is good. Last night I think was our last time. We waited 10 minutes at the hostess station for a hostess to show up and get a table, it took another 15 minutes for a server to come by to order water and soda, which was quickly dropped off and we didn't even get a chance to ask for straws. Took forever to order, food took about 40 minutes. Didn't order anything special that would warrant that long. We were there for over 1.5 hours and we weren't drinking, had a small child, only ordered dinner, didn't spend much time actually eating because at that point wanted to get home. We had to go ask for to go boxes and our check 3 different times and multiple people because after our food was dropped off we never saw our server again. Disappointing to say the least. read more

We came in close to closing time, which I felt bad for doing. We ordered the chile verde, chile colorado and the chile relleno. It did not taste fresh and was overpriced for what it was. There were bits that were hard to chew. I would not go back again. read more

This is one of my favorite places to eat at is definitely a favorite of my friends. We always like to come here when we want to come here for good Mexican food and good drinks. This is our favorite place to come very friendly staff very clean atmosphere my friends are huge fans of the margaritas that they make. They are a good size plus they have the little bottle going in them. I am a big fan of their chicken tacos. They are delicious. They are always hot and the beans and rice makes it that much even better. The food here is absolutely delicious Very affordable and they definitely have something for everybody here this location is conveniently located in Lincoln and now they have one in Roseville. I have not tried the Roseville location but I'm sure it's just as good. They also offer carry out services for this location so in case you want to take food home, you can call them up And place security out order. I have had a lot of fun memories here with my friends birthday celebrations and much more favorite places to go if we're craving Mexican food somebody will always say Casa Ramos right away because it's just one of the best places in town to have Mexican food so good, great service great establishment clean atmosphere very friendly stuff. My wife, mother in law and I came here for dinner. We were seated in a booth, which was nice. We started out with some chip's, salsa and margaritas. Our drink was delicious and refreshing. Also, I would rate their salsa as medium heat and pretty good too!!! Now for the food... I had a seafood burrito with rice and beans. My burrito was suppose to have shrimp, scallops and white fish in it with a cream sauce. The only way I could tell that it contained seafood was the strong "Fishy" smell. The fish was so chopped upped, I could NOT even tell what types of fish was in it. When I order a seafood burrito, I expect to be able to taste and chew the individual pieces of seafood in each bite. It was also VERY BLAND and unfavorfull too!!! Including the rice and beans!!! Oh, did mention that it had a strong fishy odor!!! That was really the only way I could tell that it was a seafood burrito at all. I tasted my wife's chicken mole enchilada and whole beans. They too were very BLAND and unfavorfull... We did receive good service from our waiter and he was funny too!!! Overall, I would rate their Salsa (3 stars); Margaritas (4 stars); Service (4 stars) and the Food (1 star). I would recommend them to NOT CHOP the seafood into microscopic pieces and modify their recipes to add flavor to their food. Therefore, I'm not sure I will be going back there again. Came to Casa Ramos yesterday 5/9/23 Food is excellent place is clean busboy is very attentive customer service oriented; However our waitress seemed burnt out or something, second time we get her and same thing, she was very dry with us, never came to see if we needed anything till the end to ask if we were done and or needed boxes... Meanwhile the busboy came several times to check on us to which my wife was wondering if he will get a share of the tips (he should be a waiter) in my opinion the workers are the forefront image and reputation of the business again food was good but the attention to customer wasn't there as we would have hoped. First time trying one of these locations and were easily able to get seated even though it was closer to closing time. It is a bit pricey, but the portions are comparable to Cheesecake Factory, so it definitely was worth it. The Mexican Pizza is listed as an appetizer, but it's the size of an actual personal pizza and it definitely gave me Taco Bell vibes, I just wish they had hot sauce for it. The staff was friendly even though service was a bit on the slower side, I was surprised to find that most of their menu was not spicy, so asked them to make my burrito bowl spicy. Their frozen alcoholic drinks were amazing as well. Pretty solid overall experience. read more

I've eaten there a few times. The food has been good almost every time. Fair enough. The service is good during normal times, but it seems when they're slower, service isn't as good as it usually is. Had a party of 6 and was quickly accommodated. Ordered margaritas for 2 and beers for the rest. My husband and I shared a májete plate and my mom and sister shared fajitas plate. My aunt ordered a taco an my sisters boyfriend ordered mole. My plate was perfect and everyone else seemed to like their plate. I heard the mole was on the sweet side.
