The only problem is there is a Russian Orthodox Church next door at least 50 people in wall to wall tents camped in the driveway on the Saturday night. They were incredibly loud and singing church songs in Russian all night. The kids were literally running around screaming and throwing rocks next door at Casa Luna. It was very upsetting and all Russian River Vacation Homes said was sorry. They knew that this happens several times a year. I should have gotten my $ back.

Although the ad tells it can sleep 10, it has 2.5 rooms with horrible small and smelly beds - far from sleeping even half of that! The entire house is infested with all the bugs you can think of (termites, ants, mosquitoes, etc.), a poorly maintained back yard, a grill that had all the grease and fat of the gazillion guests that have used it before...disgusting. I cant even talk about the kitchen... be aware, this kind of place must be out of business immediately - as its not worthy to host humans.. definitely not for even a fraction of the price.

The redwoods made for the perfect backdrop to the ceremony, and the main house and the side of the house was perfect for dancing, eating oysters and roasting a pig. During all the craziness of the wedding preparations, the property and its amazing surroundings allowed for some well earned relaxation (Especially the hot tub and the fire pit). We had approximately 75 guests (plus our loving dog) that came from all over. Everyone, except for a few family members (who stayed with us), rented houses in the area. Michael was extremely accommodating and a lovely person. You really feel and see the love he and his partner have put into Elements. I highly recommend this property to anyone looking for a classy place to get away. You can curl up with a good book or still have the ability to stay connected online. I also recommend this property for anyone looking to have some sort of party, whether it be a family reunion or a wedding!

This little guest house was just perfect for our 1 night stay in the Russian River Valley. The home had everything we needed- couch, tv/movies, kitchen, comfy bed and an additional sofa bed, cuteness throughout, great patio with a chiminea to keep you warm, and was nestled in a little country town in the woods of Monte Rio. You can walk to the river which is down the road, and you can rent kayaks for the day as well. Cecile, the owner, lives on the property, but this was still very private. She let us stay until 3:30pm on our day of "check-out". We walked a block to dinner at Cafe les Jumelles (see my review), but when the weather is good you should bring groceries and cook a meal at home, and eat under the stars outside. The cottage itself is adorable, clean, and includes all the essentials (towels, dishes, kitchen, clean linens, etc.) The patio in between the rooms is really cute and feels secluded. Cecile, the owner, has a house on the front of the property, and she couldn't have been nicer about answering our questions about Monte Rio and the other nearby Russian River towns. We probably wouldn't have even seen her if we had not gone out of our way. Monte Rio is cute, quaint, walkable little town. That said, it has plenty of food/resturants and a crazy little local dive bar and movie theatre right nearby. Guerneville (the main little town in Russian River) is also only about 4 miles away and includes more options (a small brewery, sporting options, Armstrong Redwoods, a bookstore, lots of restaurants, etc.) The entire area is a great escape from the city and is only about 1 1/2 hours away! And I would definitely recommend the Garden Cottage Duo over a nearby hotel or inn.

We received a call from our tour guide, Jim, the day before our tour and he explained everything about our tour and while on the ferry over from San Fran, I received a text from him letting me know he was waiting for us at the ferry docks. The champagne, the immaculate Mercedes sprinter van and the service was great. He took us to 5 wineries and all were wonderful. The lunch he had for us was fabulous with a great location. Air Streams are cool but for the price, it is all not worth it. Doing it once is ok but not again…read more Even with a $100 off sale, it was $300. It is considered glamping but the hot water in shower ran out fast, not much to do in lodge, main group gas fire pit kept going out (front desk said it needs to be fixed) and for the price that fire should be going 24/7 and be fixed ASAP if broken. Also, they are very strict on firewood. Must be compressed or hardened wood. I understand this rule as regular wood tends to put off embers and so is a higher fire risk than compressed wood like Duraflame, but the guy who noticed my regular wood (before I realized the rule) and who lectured me about it was kind of douchey. They sell some but at more than double to triple what you can get it for at store. It is upselling at that price which is off-putting. So basically $400 in an Airstream and not near water or accessible lake or stream is a bit rude and glamping amenities not great...worth max $200. Coffee was good though Next time I camp will be with the state or book with Hip Camp. There is a very cool restaurant down the road called Saucy Mamas. Definitely check it out.

It felt very safe, and the staff were super kind and helpful. The woman at the front desk helped us plan a route, and thanks to her we ended up having an amazing two days. Guerneville is SO beautiful, we'll definitely be back. Korbel is literally next door and we loved it, so if you stay here, don't skip it. The only downside --and honestly it's kind of a big one -- is how extremely close the airstreams are to each other. Yes, you can't really see inside and there is visual privacy, but you come here for the forest, the trees, the fresh air... and then there's another aistream right next to you. It feels a bit like camping, but make it packed. I really wish they had fewer trailers with more space between them, because the setting itself is incredible. People come here to disconnect and spread out a little, not to feel like sardines in the woods.
