The property has direct access to the river, including a small dock where you can fish, which was a highlight for our family. There's also a lovely fire pit area, and the s'mores kits were such a fun touch for the kids. We also appreciated the complimentary coffee in the morning. The large grassy area was perfect for the kids to run around and play, and there are plenty of games available as well, including board games and Jenga. These little touches made it easy for the kids to stay entertained and enjoy the property. The rooms are on the smaller side, but having a mini refrigerator in each room was incredibly helpful when traveling with kids, especially with a larger family group. The owners were exceptionally nice, welcoming, and helpful throughout our stay. It's clear that they take a lot of pride in the property and genuinely care about creating a great experience for their guests. Overall, we really enjoyed our stay and would happily come back. It's a charming, family-friendly spot with thoughtful amenities and a beautiful setting right on the Russian River. It was especially nice having a place where our entire family could stay together and enjoy the property.

Downtown was a short walk (groceries, pizza, sandwiches, anything you need) and on the property there were kitchen spaces for us to hang out with plenty to do on the property. Rooms #11 & 12 were amazing. 11 is the larger room and larger bathroom with 2 full beds. 12 has a pullout sofa and full bed. Easily sleeps 2 couples in each room or mom and dad and 2 kids, but that's not what you're there for. Outside (if you take both spaces) is a large outdoor deck divided in half by a wall but connected so you can get from one room to the other. It has a shared yard beyond that. The landscaping is amazing. The property is on the river with tons of space to chill in the water. They have a deck for the facility and everyone can use it. It's shared so be prepared to be with other people but it is a place that seems to attract a good crowd. Everyone who we ran into there was nice. Another thing on the property they was cool was coffee, fresh ice cold filtered water, popcorn, and the front desk made the kids cotton candy daily. There is an ice machine there as well so you can roast in the sun and drink ice cold filtered water till you pop. That part of the place is in the outdoor kitchen which is community and has board games and seating for everyone. Outside the kitchen is bathrooms and seating areas. 2 fireplaces for s'mores and I believe a bbq pit (I can't remember we have a travel size Traegar they let us use) as well. If I were to get married or have a party it would 1000% be here. I think there is 12 rooms and I'd rent the whole spot for it without even thinking twice. Maybe bring extra help to keep the party rolling but this place legit is perfect for it. They also have like a VIP outdoor seating area we didn't end up getting but has a TV and some "roped off" area to hang out at that is an amazing setup. I can keep going but we loved this place. Even upon arrival our room had spiders have babies in the room (happens yall it's on the river and def outdoorsy) and my wife felt awkward asking because we didn't want to sound like the complaining people but we asked for a vacuum to get them out. The lady actually came in the room and helped us. 5 star stay. 5 star people, oh and being a licensed contractor and getting along with people who work, the people who kept the grounds were cool too. Super nice to our kids, and when you see the landscape, you can tell they are good at their job. Can't say enough good stuff. We will be back.

Also liked all of the decor including the Hawaiian shirt prints and decorative sunflower & waterlily art tiles in our room! Also, have to mention the eggs Benedict at the Costeaux French Bakery!! So delicious!! Best breakfast!! Yum!! We will definitely come back and stay longer next time to explore the downtown shops and restaurants or just relax and hang out at the gorgeous grounds of the Bella Luna! The grounds of the property are extremely beautiful and full of picturesque flowers and gardens. The star of the show (if you don't count just the beauty of this place) is the breakfast offered each morning. You're greeted by some of the friendliest people and provided an over the top experience to start your day. Fresh coffee, yogurt, juices, breads, scones and a full meal are provided for you each AM. All these fresh and delicious items are served on stylish china to add a little something extra to the experience. The location is exactly in between the town and the wineries. Nothing was more than a ten minute drive away and you only need to take one road to get there. We throughly enjoyed our time here and plan to bring back friends and family to this hidden gem in Healdsburg!

I loved the little sitting area / front entry to the Lucy suite that had 2 comfy chairs and a little coffee/tea counter within our room. The bed and linens were very soft and comfy. The bathroom was super spacious and even had 2 sinks! Note: robes were provided in the little closet in the bedroom. The Lucy suite even has its own little balcony/patio with stairs to the ground level. The balcony/patio overlooks the parking lot. The only downside to the room is that it is in an older building and like all old buildings... the floor creaks. So, trying to walk around quietly is not going to happen. WiFi worked great for us. We had no issues logging in nor the connectivity. The food is tasty. We enjoyed all the breakfasts, and I especially liked the selection of teas. Coffee was abundant and there was even a tasty OJ! The only downside was the water dispenser ran out of water on our last night/morning. Thankfully, we found some water in the little fridge by the back door. In the afternoon, they leave out a tray of cookies and some wine. If it's busy and you get there late, it's entirely possible that there is none left of either. (Which happened to us on Saturday when we returned at 4:30... no big deal. But wanted to point out that it does happen, so don't get your heart set on there being some when you get there.) The location is Fantastic! You are like 2 blocks from The Main Plaza. You are 1 block from a fantastic Bubble Bar if you like sparkling wines and champagnes. You are 1 block from a 3-star Michelin restaurant - Single Thread. There are 3 coffee shops that are nearby. And if you forgot something... the CVS is like 2 blocks away. The point being... it is super close to everything that you don't need your car. We parked ours for 3 days in the little parking lot behind the inn and didn't move it until we departed on Sunday. Bonus: if you are a wine club member of any of Wilson Artisan family wines, you get a discount off your stay.

They are clearly understaffed, and the staff who are working have little to no training at all. I have worked in the hospitality industry for over 20 years and for this place to be awarded two key Michelin is not something I experienced while staying there. First off for almost $900 a night our room had paper thin walls, can hear the neighbors talking, snoring, and other sounds. There was mold in the grout of the showers, and our privacy curtain that was broken. They advertise deep soaking tubs and a spa like feel, but it's the complete opposite of that. All they had to offer was a small freezing cold pool and a cold hot tub. Unless you wanted to spend over $1,000 a night for a small "private hot tub" thats not at all private as there are rooms upstairs looking over onto the patio. The restaurant advertised free breakfast which was a small confusing menu. The "free" options where of pancakes, yogurt, and a tiny breakfast sandwich, which was just eggs. If you wanted anything extra, get ready to be charged for non quality food. The "Fresh Juice" was clearly store bought and not freshly pressed like they advertised. Clearly, the servers in the restaurant need help. Im pretty sure I witnessed someone walk out one morning. If you are looking for a place to relax with room service, basic needs such as lunch, drinks, or snacks, they do not offer it here. Which I found very surprising for a luxury hotel. Everything about this trip fell short. Which is really disappointing as the pictures and website advertise the opposite. For the price of the room, amenities and such is not worth it here.

The bathroom was surprisingly spacious and large, with a full size tub/shower. There was a mini-fridge and a coffee maker. The cottage we stayed in had two studios, with a shared wall. Unfortunately we could hear the people on the other side of the wall whenever they were talking (and unfortunately they were talking very early in the morning), so keep that in mind if you're sensitive to noise and booking a studio. Right outside our cottage was the fire pit, which was lovely in the evening with supplies for s'mores! We loved how dog-friendly this property was. There was a dedicated pet relief area that was fully fenced off. The continental breakfast starts at 8:30 and has a decent selection. Check-in and check out process was easy. Parking was right outside the gate along the property. We would stay here again.

That completely changed upon leaving and the comment they both made as were driving away was "that was fun Mom!". Our cottage was very cute, extremely clean and there was even a record player and lots of vinyl to listen to (and listen I did!!). The general smell of fresh, crisp air was intoxicating in itself, but waking up to the aroma of freshly baked bread and pastries was mouth-watering. And the taste, texture, and variety did not disappoint either. The night before we enjoyed live music, a few games of Uno, some wonderful freshly baked pizzas, and to top it all off a slice of chocolate raspberry cake (all made by our wonderful host Mark). The next morning started with rain, so we took advantage by opening up a puzzle from the countless games in the community area and dug in. Once the rain stopped, the sun peeked out and we took a little walk to a nearby waterfall, enjoying the cool, green silence while investigating different vegetation and minerals as we walked. That evening we sat around in the community area enjoying more freshly baked goodies and other guests. The last morning, Mark and his small son were kind enough to wrestle some energy out of my boys and beat them over the head with pillows and cushions, while I laughed hysterically from my safe little corner. I barely looked at my phone for 2 days straight. How wonderful! And.... my hair and skin was amazingly soft after washing with the mountain water coming out of our tap. And how could I forget about the fairy ring of redwood trees (group of trees growing in a circle around the stump of an old growth tree, this is how they regenerate) right next to the grove. The oldest standing tree was 1,200 years old, meaning that the center "mama" tree that used to be there was probably two or three times older and BIGGER than the already standing behemoths. Mark made it feel like home away from home for us and my boys asked me if we could go back soon, probably to continue the wrestling match. I just want more fresh onion focaccia! And brownies. The first night we arrived, Mark was there to welcome us with one of his kids and invited us to join him for a campfire out in their backyard. It felt like we were family. After a long drive, it was really nice to receive a cold beer and a warm welcome like that. Our cottage was cozy and really inviting. The highlight for us was definitely the outdoor area. There are fruit and vegetable gardens, an outdoor fire pit and little outdoor spaces where one can read and just be. You can see that the owner has put a lot of love in this place. We were mostly left on our own and it was really nice exploring the area. There's a creek right next to the property and little trails that you can take if you so wish. And sky-high redwood trees everywhere! Breakfast was a treat of freshly-baked items that Mark himself made, and it's amazing. And we learned later on that Mark has won several awards for his bakery. It was a real treat meeting Mark and his kids in person, he has such a giving spirit that just inspires you tremendously. I was personally really moved by his story and his life motivation. It's not often that you meet someone with so much clarity in his life purpose, and it was really inspiring to meet someone like Mark. Even though we found this place after reading several reviews, we were still very much surprised by our time here. The cottages and owner truly surpassed everything we expected out of a typical B&B, and we can't wait to return soon. Highly recommended for those who just want to get away from it all.
