    Breaded fish taco.
    Ruth B.

Always support the locals. Since I can remember this restaurant has been open. The food is tasty, the service is fantastic and it's a very chill cozy environment. They don't sell hard liquor but a model will do. We order fish breaded tacos. The toppings was cabbage, tomaotes, cilantro, onions and a very good sauce. The breaded fish were small due to the small Tortillas but I feel that at 4.49 each small taco a little more fish should be added. Please do not take this review wrong. I enjoy my two tacos, the model beer, the music from MIKE and my time with my hubby. Will I order the fish tacos at 4.49 each no. I prefer mole with chicken. Oh, forgot to mention we recieved two small plates of mole with on chips with Mexican cheese. Bomb! Check thisbplace out. Very busy on the weekend and parking is tough but worth it.

Authentic! This was our first time coming and we were greeted the minute we saw staff, making the ambiance pleasurable. We ordered the Cafe de Olla, it was delicious and it came with a concha! As we ordered and waited for our food looking around it looks like a big restaurant and great for families. The food came out at a timely manner and we ate every last bit of it! I recommend "La Tentación", it has a little bit of everything and feeds up to three people depending how hungry you are. The price in everything was well worth it as well!

I love a good mole, so I was pleased when the server brought some chips with mole coloradito on them to the table. I found the mole to be slightly sweet and less spicy than I prefer for a coloradito (although I'm accustomed to the mole from the border, not Oaxaca). But the server brought more chips with mole negro on it to try and it was excellent, so I ordered the mole negro plate. The mole had great depth of flavor and a nice spicy kick, the chicken was tender, and the beans were very flavorful. And their corn tortillas the best indicator of a good Mexican restaurant were fresh off the comal, oversized, soft, and tasty. The only downside was trying to get my wheelchair underneath a table, although they worked hard to accommodate me. I found only one space in the entire restaurant that fit my wheelchair (which fortunately was unoccupied). We also have a disabled parking space right outside the door. Based on my one experience at Casa Oaxaca, I would recommend it to others.

We had a nice lunch here. Parking is rough and we ended up a few blocks away. The restaurant was busy but seemed to move efficiently-- we waited 25 minutes for a table. The food was incredible. They have complimentary chips with salsa and mole and we ordered quesadillas dorados for an appetizer. The quesadillas were fantastic. For mains, I had chicken mole -- a leg/thigh quarter smothered in mole with rice and beans. A bit messy, but amazing. My wife ordered one of the bass filet platters (filete de ajo?) and it was the best single piece of fish I've had in ages. The staff were courteous and we had a great meal. The lunch rush had died down by the time we finished, making this a good spot to hit off peak to get parking out front and skip the waitlist.

This is a great venue for good Mexican food. I came here to see a friend of mine perform live. Great live music and vibe! I really like Mole and of course had to try theirs. I got the Pollo with Mole and it was delicious. I also loved the Passion Fruit Margarita. Served chilled!

Really cute place, especially for a date night. Very nice service and they specialize in Oaxacan foods. I love their mole, they have 2 types. There's live music on the weekend. Parking can be tough so plan accordingly.

Live music on Friday night, friendly staff and amazing flavors! The food was 10s for everything, I think my favorite was the chicken soup! Tasted so homemade and comforting. Will be back soon!

Love coming here with the family! Nice hole in the wall restaurant. I went a Monday at around 11am and had some hot chocolate and then got a chicken soup. The chicken soup was very flavorful and the avocado added a nice touch to it.

I love the scenery and the food is delicious! Can't go wrong with the mole enchiladas, and their tlayudas! Chefs kiss!

Delicious food. I ordered a large tray for two and had leftover food for days! Go try the Oaxaca cheese! Great service and live entertainment!

Casa Oaxaca has amazing food. Second time here and definitely coming back many more times lol Everything seems to be big enough to share :) Food is so flavorful and you can taste the freshness of ingredients. I love Mexican food but had never tried Oaxaca food; it's so delicious. I totally recommend this place! Service is friendly and ambience a bit loud since they have a live musician, but that's cool.

We had the chilaquiles verdes, menudo, side of fries, kids strawberry cheesecake combo. Everything was so flavorful and delicious. It was so good in fact that we decided to add a stuffed dulce de leche French toast that we saw on the menu earlier. I was blown away. I love that it was salty and just sweet enough. It was the best thing I tried. But the the best part of the whole experience was Alma, our server! We didn't even notice we came in hour before closing, and when we did we apologized and she was so kind and told us not to worry and to enjoy our food. She was the last server there and was juggling multiple tables but still managed to be extremely attentive to us. She is so kind and has a great personality. Thank you for everything, Alma! Also big shout out to the kitchen for not closing before the restaurant! They let us add our French toast about 20 mins before closing, which is really unheard of in the restaurant culture of "last calls" 30 minutes before. I loved this place!

The room was getting progressively hotter so we asked if the AC was on and a server casually told us the AC was "on the fritz." We had spent months planning this event and this was incredibly disappointing. Even before the guests arrived, I noticed the cupcakes and macarons I had brought in melting from the extreme heat. All the guests were noticeably and understandably uncomfortable and sweating the entire 3 hours. No one came to check on us or to apologize for the inconvenience. This was not the event we had envisioned for the guest of honor who was 8 months pregnant. It was not only uncomfortable but also posed a health risk. The restaurant showed a lack of concern, care and accountability over the entire situation. I understand that the weather and the AC breaking were out of anyone's control but the handling of the situation and the aftermath was poor. We tried to give the restaurant opportunities to make this right but they failed at every opportunity. Because of the lack of communication, poor decision making and incompetency, I cannot recommend this restaurant for any events. The servers were nice and the food was all right but there are many other acceptable options for food in the area.

The high ceilings, rustic exposed brick, and massive bar setup make for an electric atmosphere when it's packed out with a rowdy crowd. Even when they're slammed for game days, the kitchen holds its own. The duck fat fries are pretty much mandatory for the table--super crispy, well-seasoned, and easy to pick at while drinking. Their empanadas, lumpia, and burgers are also solid, easy crowd-pleasers to pair with a huge craft beer list or one of their whiskey cocktails. Because the energy is so high during watch parties, service can understandably take a little longer than a normal quiet lunch, but the staff handles the game-day rush really well and keeps the drinks flowing. Parking in downtown Santa Ana can be hit-or-miss with meters, but slipping into the Sycamore parking structure right across the street saves you from driving in circles. Santa Ana Brunch Club,…read more Took the wife here on our off Friday. We arrived near noon time and the restaurant still was full, we had to wait hmm 10 or 15 minutes, which is not bad at all, shoot beats 45+ minutes I can easily see them pull on the early morning and weekends. There is a parking lot just past the restaurant, its a little sketchy and can be tight depending what cars are already there. There is a decent amount of seating, but the first thing I noticed when we first walked in was the two Yama glass cold brew towers, I already knew they were going to have banging Kyoto style coffee, that was already a win for me lol. The staff here were super nice and also very great at recommending a dish by what's popular but also asking what mood you were in. So the wife and I went with the two popular dishes. City Plate - Wife went with this dish French scrambled eggs, on the menu it does say Pork Belly, but unfortunately they ran out so she went with bacon. Hokkaido milk bread French toast, seasonal jam and berries. First off most places that know how to cook bacon, just nice and crispy, you know whomever is cooking, is cooking. Perfectly crisp bacon and good quality and taste, made me forget about the pork belly! The Hokkaido milk bread French toast, topped with like a blueberry jam, was beyond delicious. Honestly one of the best french toast both my wife and myself ever had. I do agree the portions are a little small, but if this was the dish I ordered, sorry wife, all mine!! jk love u! Bubbies Fried Chicken & Sourdough Pancake's: This is the dish I went with, Fried chicken thighs, mini sourdough pancakes, 2 over medium eggs finished with a hot honey butter drizzle. The sourdough pancakes, were good but nothing to crazy about them, if there is an option to sub the pancakes for the French toast, I would have easily done that! Egg was cooked perfectly to how I ordered them, but the best part of this dish. That fried chicken thighs, easily the best fried chicken I have had as of then and today so far. The crunchy skin was the right amount, the chicken was moist just from the look of it, but once bitten into, oh man it was explosions of flavors. Oh man put this on top of like a jalapeno waffle get the perfect bite with chicken, egg, the waffle and some syrup....gasm! As mentioned above the serving portion isnt too big, least for a guy size, guess it worked out since I finished whatever my wife could on her plate. Coffee: It make sense why their portions are too big, gotta make sure you save room for that coffee. Sadly the day we went, they ran out of Horchata, so the wife and I both got the vanilla rum kyoto iced latte. As expected it was delicious, the vanilla and rum complemented each other perfectly, not too sweet and not too smoky/bitter, I knew the cold brew would be clean and smooth, a perfect way to end brunch with this amazing cup of cold brew. I may have finished my cup before even leaving the parking lot. In conclusion, Santa Ana Brunch Club its going to be hard to come back here and try other things when I can just have a plate of favorites with that french toast, bacon and fried chicken and was it all down with Kyoto coffee. I can see why people are willing to wait long times for the food here. Again the food is amazing along with the workers! Feast Well Fellow Yelpers! Kaizokuō Ni Ore Wa Naru!
