Tostada with edible bugs. very good.

We met my cousin and his wife for dinner here. Service was outstanding and the food was very good. We started with their complementary tostada and then ordered the tostada with "chapulines, gusanitos and chicatanas" very good. The specials were just as good, octopus and fettuccine with beef. I enjoyed the ribeye. Would definitely recommend.

This was our big splurge and worth every penny. Make reservations if possible because they fill up at night. Beautiful setting and first class food prepared by a master chef. The rib eye stole the show.

This place was really good. We stopped by without a reservation thinking that we weren't getting in but the hostess found us a nice table for 2 she was very friendly and courteous.. My wife loved her mezcal mixed drinks, I m a beer guy so I just had a IPA .. oh and the food is also great definitely worth it..

This was a really nice local brunch spot! This was a little far from the main part of town but we just took a nice stroll through town, saw a more residential part of Oaxaca. The space was very open, airy, had a nice garden vibe. THE SERVICE: Very friendly, casual. THE WAIT: None around 11am on New Year's Day. We were so glad they were open, there were so many restaurants closed that day! * Chocolate - 4.5 stars Delicious! * Carrot bread - 3.5 stars Not overly sweet, but a bit dry DESAYUNO DEL COMAL * Variacion de quesadillas con guacamole ($69 pesos) - 4 stars Well made, but a little simple. RECOMENDACIONES DE LA CASA * Huevos rancheros al comal con hoja santa y queso fresco asado banados en salsa de chile de agua ($93 pesos) - 3 stars I tried a bite, this was ok. * Enchiladas de coloradito rellenas de quesillo o pollo ($92 pesos) - 4.5 stars Delicious sauce!

We looked at the one in el Centro of Oaxaca. But they only served dinner. They told us the one in reforma. A couple of blocks in a taxi. We got breakfast there delicious.

Best. Tacos. Ever. This restaurant is a gem. They make your salsa table side and give it the heat level you want. Everything I had here was delicious, but the arrachera tacos were just amazing.

Nice start complimentary warm carrot cake and a beautiful cup of hot chocolate

A beautiful space with beautiful food.. It's strange as I don't think it rains in Oaxaca City because there are so many of these beautiful restaurants that appears to be half inside and half outside or with very little roofing.. Casa Oaxaca Cafe is absolutely gorgeous, There are trees growing inside the place, some of it is covered, some of it is not.. Even the covered roofing doesnt appear to be much more than some tarp or some other not very sturdy material.. A few things to remember for breakfast in Oaxaca. The fruit is incredible, the coffee is not that great and the hot chocolate with milk or water is fantastic.. So, if you are not ready for beer or mezcal a hot chocolate is an amazing experience.. I usually have a fruit first and then a hot chocolate.. Staff is incredibly gracious (do not confuse with the duds at Casa Oaxaca) and the food is fantastic.. We had eaten there a few times and everything we had was wonderful.. The dinner menu looks traditional and wonderful as well. Everything we had was worth recommending so, choose what you like.. I would trust their cooking entirely.. A must for breakfast Love this place.

Great place for lunch or dinner. From the city centre, take a cab to this location (7 minute taxi ride) to enjoy brunch or lunch from comal.

We were able to get a seat right away and the servers were super helpful. My friend wanted to try some mezcal and they let us taste a couple before choosing. We sat at the restaurant instead of the bar because it was cuter and I wanted food too. I tried two of their fruity mezcal drinks and loved both. I forget the names but one had watermelon, and the other had coconut and lime. I ordered cheese stuffed plantains with mole and this was soooo good. It was very filling too!

I thought it was funny when I got the menu and the food menu was only one page while the drink menu was five pages. The outside of the restaurant is blue-ish and the restaurant has multiple rooms. The ceviche del dia ($190 MXN) was a little sweet and not as tart or sour as others I've had. The tacos de sirloin ($170) were really good and were our group's favorite. The taquitos dorados de mole negro ($140) were okay; there was no meat just in case you were wondering. The aguachile rojo de camaron ($190) were good. The esquite con tuetano ($100) was not like a typical corn in a cup but it was closer to a corn soup. For drinks I had the pequeño gigante ($210) which was good. The paloma madura and paloma margarita were both favorites among our group. We went during the day and it wasn't that busy but supposedly it gets way busier and livelier at night.
