Eduardo and his team knocked it out of the park!!! We hired Casa Nova to help us with a private dinner for 22 for a special night. We were from out of town on a couples retreat and did not know Santa Fe well. Eduardo met with us, patiently researched locations and then helped coordinate all the details for an amazing evening. The food was outstanding. Fun hand passed appetizers - corn chowder shooters, chille relleno bites and healthy puréed cauliflower bites. The main - included a ridiculously tasty mole sauce with pork and a banana leaf wrapped trout. The staff was professional, food was amazing, and night was memorable. I can't recommend Eduardo and Casa Nova highly enough!

Casa Nova recently catered our private dinner for a party of 9 at our home. We were very pleased with our service and the quality of the food and the way it was prepared. From what we learned, they're very much a family centered company and we loved that about them. The food was great and we loved the table service! It was also really great that they accommodated our specific menu requests.

Not having ever tasted their food, I was afraid a slight bit of how it would turn out, if it would feed the 29 enough, and if it would be ready on time. All fears were easily allayed. The food fed everyone to the brim with some to spare. It was super delicious, elegant, and got wonderful compliments by guests. It was delivered on time, and we were given help in setting up--thanks to the amazing Tia! It was ready on time, and the everyone truly raved. We chose 4 appetizers (the pumpkin strudel, spicy crab cakes with saffron aioli, lamb kefta on sweet potato crisp with harissa coulis, and a habanero-marinated bacon-wrapped shrimp). All were outstanding. The salad was citrus, pomegranate, and pistachio with an amazing dressing. Artisan bread with compound butter. Rosemary encrusted prime rib was one entree with 2 sauces: Spanish sherry jus and a wild mushroom green chili jus. We had the pine nut-encrusted chicken with roasted red pepper sauce and stuffed with NM goat cheese. The bride and groom picked out the menu, but I was leery about selecting chicken because it's usually been dry at most all wedding receptions I've attended. To my surprise, this chicken was NOT dry, and it was super tender and moist. The prime rib was also super tender all the way through, abundant, and incredibly tasty. The salad was superb as was the grilled vegetables, and fingerling potatoes. I heard many compliments on the food that evening and was so happy about that. Everyone ate up, and we had much to pack away; this shows the generosity in the portions! Can't say enough about this company. They had great reviews in Yelp, and I now will add to that. Please consider them for your catering needs. You will NOT be disappointed. They were always kind and gracious on the phone with me, and I felt like they cared for me and our reception. I wish I would have gotten more pictures, but I was so busy. I think our photographer may have gotten some. Don't know.

When came to deliver order they removed one of the items which I had paid for on the original invoice. They brought the item and said it wasn't paid for and took it back. I had paid in full. They didn't seem to know what they were talking about between each other. Bad phone communication. The gal on the phone wouldn't let me get a word in and argued the whole time. They agreed to bring the product back but only after I offered to repay for it because I needed it for the amount of guests I was having. So disappointed

We came across Chef Kualani's page and I am endlessly grateful that we did because the entire process could not have been more perfect. From the very beginning, Kualani was incredibly warm, communicative, and endlessly accommodating. She was open to any requests we had but also came up with the most unbelievable seasonal menu for the dinner (because I had no idea where to start). Dealing with her was a pleasure each and every time and she helped me go through all the details so that nothing was forgotten. And the dinner.... THE DINNER. The food was absolutely incredible. I'm still thinking about her spring pea soup with truffle oil. Every course was fantastic. But Kualani is not just a chef, she is a true hostess. She and her partner Richard came into our AirBnb and handled literally EVERYTHING. She brought beautiful plates and flatware so we didn't have to rely on the AirBnb's stash. She decorated the table. She even made my niece a grilled cheese sandwich while she was prepping. And then, at the end of one of the best meals of my life, they cleaned everything up and left the kitchen better than they found it. Having worked in restaurants and catering for many years, I know first-hand that chefs are not always hospitable. It is a completely different skill set and it's the reason restaurants need a front-of-house staff. But Kualani is the rare exception that is truly capable of curating a perfect evening. She has the most amazing energy and could not have been happier with our entire experience. The dinner absolutely made my mother's birthday and I cannot recommend her highly enough.

Too bad since I do these retreats 4x a year. I did reach out and give them feedback thinking maybe they would want my business in future by offering to make it right. But nothing was offered. The dinner involved both pre-prepared dishes and items that were cooked to order live on-site, which delighted our guests and also ensured that everything was served with ideal freshness. The entire team was a joy to work with; they arrived on time, set up discreetly, and their friendliness shone through when they were cooking and serving our guests. The flavors were spot on, evoking our time living in Da Nang, and really helped make our special day even more special. Communication throughout the process was perfectly professional. Ultimately, beyond the quality of the food and the professionalism of the staff, what really stuck out to us was how dedicated Hue-Chan was to ensuring that we were taken care of, so that we weren't distracted from enjoying the big day.

We did a tasting back in February and everything we had was incredible. I'm a pescetarian so our meal was a burrata salad, corn puddin' (I died and went to heaven when I ate this), eggplant parmesan, and salmon with roasted veggies. For passed appetizers we had watermelon and mozzarella sticks and bourbon glazed meatballs. Then for a late night snack they made hatch green chile mac and cheese (I ate about a pound of the leftovers the next day they were so good) and green chile sliders. When I say truly EVERYTHING was delicious I mean it. Also, their customer service was phenomenal. They arrived on time, made everything fresh, constantly checked in on us, and even helped us set up our tables. And I'll start with the positives--the bison steak was cooked to a perfect medium-rare and held up well while cold. However, everything else about that picnic box was somewhere from disappointing to bad. The cold somen noodles were gummy and stuck together, and I've quite literally had better on an airplane. The poached spinach was underseasoned. The "Japanese pickles" were inexplicably pepperocinis, which have nothing Japanese about them. The raw spinach leaves were just there. And it cost $35 but I've made the same (minus the meat) for under $5.
