Flautas plate (top), Casa plate (lower)

First time here and had a great experience. Seemed like there was going to be a long wait, but we were actually seated in less than 10 minutes. The food is really good and I honestly didn't think the prices were unreasonable. The house margarita is $8. I ordered the Casa plate for $20, came with an enchilada, flauta, and fajita beef taco Al carbon with rice beans and queso! It was actually amazing. The fajita beef was very good and flavorful. My husband got the full flauta plate and it was pretty big! We both couldn't finish our entrees. Chips and salsa were great as well and the queso blanco is delicious. Love this new local spot!

Just ok, not great! The dining area is nicely decorated but the tables are too crowded together making it feel like you're going to get bumped whenever someone walks by. The barbacoa tacos had lots of meat and were very tasty. The Ground beef tacos were bland so next time I'll try something else. We will give this place another try because they just opened and are still trying to find their groove.

    Yeah. The Tres!!! Omg!!!

Second visit here. Great service, great food served in a different way. (Great food presentation) Fancy, bright, clean restaurant. Perfection on the Mexican food. Served Tex Mex style. Flavor, cheese, moist not dry meat. Food is served hot. Drinks are great, served in different fancy ways. Tastes great also. Alcohol is a part of the drink. Many restaurants you can't taste the alcohol, Casa Julia you can. Yum. Zen. lol Desserts, well well well. Yum. Tres cake is so good, so perfect. Served like a Bundt cake, but oh so much better. Whip cream, fruit swirled on plate. Yeah leave space in your stomach for the Tres. Great service. Worth the price restaurant. Yum yum to the tum. Yes sing the song. lol. Just next time, you are on the road. Stop here. You will love it.

Everything went well! Even if only 5 days on business in this location! They were packed as expected! Food was great! Music was a mix of Spanish and English! I really enjoyed But the salsas for the chips was amazing! Call from my hometown (Puebla City). The drinks was very delighted! Desert was a call for I deserve this! ! My new place to reward my self!

Went for their grand opening and honestly everything exceeded expectations. Usually grand openings can be a little chaotic with long waits or food not quite hitting the mark, but that was not the case at all here. The service was super friendly and accommodating from start to finish, and everything came out quickly and perfectly prepared. The food was absolutely delicious and the drinks were just as good. You can really tell they put a lot of care into this place already. So glad I came out tonight. I'll definitely be back!

Went here with a party of 9 on Easter Sunday. They were swamped, so any wait time was completely acceptable. We were seated pretty quickly, but it took a long time for someone to come to our table. However, it hasn't even been a week since they opened, so, understandably, they're still trying to figure themselves out and properly train all their staff. Otherwise, the service was wonderful from every staff member. Vanessa was great and was as attentive as she could be for the number of tables she had to attend to. The food was really good, and the portions were generous. The prices are a bit higher than those of other restaurants of the same caliber, but it's offset by great taste and what appears to be high-quality ingredients. Their Cuatro Leches cake is also one of the best we've ever had, so definitely recommend it. I would've rated this an easy five stars if it weren't for the wait times, but I will definitely be coming back and recommend this place.

Nice flavorful, red salsa and two ice cold beers

We recently visited Casa Julia and had a really great experience overall. There was about a 45-minute wait for a table, which is pretty expected for a new and popular spot, but we were able to head straight to the bar where there were open seats--definitely a nice workaround. The bartenders were fantastic--super attentive and consistently checking in on us without being overbearing. You can tell they really care about the customer experience. As for the food, everything was delicious. We ordered cheese enchiladas along with chicken and beef tacos, and for an appetizer we had the empanadas. The flavors were on point across the board. Both the red and green salsas really stood out--fresh, flavorful, and the perfect complement to the meal. The ambiance is exactly what you'd expect from a Mexican restaurant--warm, lively, and inviting. Between the friendly staff and the overall vibe, we felt right at home. Even with the wait, it was absolutely worth it. We'll definitely be back!

Well to start off we went on a Friday night and they were super busy. We didn't wait long at all for a table. The waitress was swamped with large tables but had the best attitude. She took our drink order and gave us a few minutes to decide on our food and answered all of our questions. The food was great our only complaint was we did not get our drinks until they served us our food. Again other than that service was great and she was super busy so I am sure they are still working out kinks. Love the decor. and the indoor/outdoor seating options.

A group of my friends and I had been out at an event near Valley Ranch and decided to get some…read moredinner after it was over. Chuy's at the Valley Ranch shopping center is fairly new and we figured we would give it a try. We got there around 7:30 pm and it wasn't too crowded, being a Tuesday night and we they quickly set up a table for 8 people. Our server was a young girl and came out to take drink orders. In 5 minutes or so she was back and started taking the food orders. I don't envy servers who wait tables with a large group of friends like ours as they need to keep track of who is with who, couples vs single diners but she did a good job. Chuy's like most Mexican style restaurants serves chips and salsa at the start when you sit down but they also famously serve their complimentary signature Creamy Jalapeño salsa, a popular zesty, ranch-based dip. This creamy green sauce, often called "green sauce," is a staple, frequently referred to as part of the "three amigos" along with the chips and red salsa. We didn't order any starters, just the main course and it was a bit slow coming out considering that the restaurant wasn't very crowded. I always wonder why this happens, are they short handed in the kitchen? I had ordered the Burrito Bowl with shrimp and my choice of rice was what they call Green Chili Rice as a base instead of Mexican Rice. I also asked for a CUP of their Tortilla soup on the side. After a fairly long wait and consuming way too many chips our food came out. The table soon got quite crowded as they tend to serve the sides like rice and beans in separate dishes from the main entrees. She must have misunderstood because I got Mexican rice as the base of my bowl and a big side of the Green Chili rice. No biggie; then she put down an enormous bowl of soup, seemed like almost a quart! I asked if this was the CUP or the BOWL and she said, "Oh sorry, I thought you said bowl." But then said, "No problem I will only charge you for the cup" which was nice. We all ate and for the most part everyone seemed to enjoy their food. The Burrito Bowl is a great way to go if you don't want a heavy meal, and sometimes Tex Mex or Mexican food can be heavy by the time you add on refried beans, melted cheese and sour cream, etc. My dinner was just right. I only had taken a few sips of the soup, it was zesty and hot, pretty good for a chain restaurant and seemed genuinely homemade. Pretty soon as our server came by she asked if I would like her to put the rest of the soup into a container to take home and I agreed; it would make a great lunch the next day. Soon we were don and she brought out the checks, it was a challenge and she first double checked her tickets to make sure she got everything right. It took a while for her to find a manager to reduce the price on my soup but eventually she did. She menioned that this was only her second week on the job and we all praised her and tipped generously as mix-ups happen and a slow kitchen is not the front of the house's staff's fault. Overall thoughts, yes Chuy's is a chain and chances are you will get the same menu and presentation at their other locations but our server made the difference as she tried really hard to please us.

I had to call them twice to confirm they even had my order. I paid online (also can we talk about the fact that an order of flautas and a small queso was $25!?) and don't do tips on curbside, because??? Why? And after i had already said no for the tip, the woman who brought me my order asked me if i was going to tip FOR WHAT. 1 pm on a Thursday, very small lunch crowd- maybe 15 cars in the parking lot if I'm being generous. Absolutely ridiculous. Not only did I wait almost an entire hour, but everything was soggy and barely warm at all. The chips were stale and i ordered double rice and they gave me beans instead. Worst Chuy's I've ever been to. So unprofessional.

Tonight , I visited the one in Humble off of FM 1960, and once again it did not disappoint. I ordered a very good enchilada combination dish called the Coronado that came with shrimp brochette and enchilada, and a crispy beef taco, but I had them take off the taco and add me an extra enchilada, which they did with no problem. It came with rice and beans and I ordered a side of pico de gallo to go with it. It was piping hot , cheesy, and delicious. zero complaints. And my brother even let me try some of his quail, which I had never tried at any Pappas restaurant before and it too was very good. Super tender, smoky and welled seasoned. Now the reason for the 3 stars was the service. We had two servers and they were both very much in their own worlds.. Messed up my drink order out the gate, inattentive to whether or not we needed things, never once's asked how we were coming along with our meal, ( until the very end of both our meals and our dirty plates were still laying there in front of us) and never asked either one of us if we wanted another drink, and we were sitting at the bar! And these were bartenders!! Thus only the 3 stars
