First time here and had a great experience. Seemed like there was going to be a long wait, but we were actually seated in less than 10 minutes. The food is really good and I honestly didn't think the prices were unreasonable. The house margarita is $8. I ordered the Casa plate for $20, came with an enchilada, flauta, and fajita beef taco Al carbon with rice beans and queso! It was actually amazing. The fajita beef was very good and flavorful. Just ok, not great! The dining area is nicely decorated but the tables are too crowded together making it feel like you're going to get bumped whenever someone walks by. The barbacoa tacos had lots of meat and were very tasty. The Ground beef tacos were bland so next time I'll try something else. Our server was kind and kept apologizing for the wait. We asked to speak to the manager, who came over and delivered tortillas to us, said "enjoy" and walked away. Went for their grand opening and honestly everything exceeded expectations. Usually grand openings can be a little chaotic with long waits or food not quite hitting the mark, but that was not the case at all here. Went here with a party of 9 on Easter Sunday. They were swamped, so any wait time was completely acceptable. We were seated pretty quickly, but it took a long time for someone to come to our table. However, it hasn't even been a week since they opened, so, understandably, they're still trying to figure themselves out and properly train all their staff. Otherwise, the service was wonderful from every staff member. Vanessa was great and was as attentive as she could be for the number of tables she had to attend to. The food was really good, and the portions were generous. The prices are a bit higher than those of other restaurants of the same caliber, but it's offset by great taste and what appears to be high-quality ingredients. Their Cuatro Leches cake is also one of the best we've ever had, so definitely recommend it. I would've rated this an easy five stars if it weren't for the wait times, but I will definitely be coming back and recommend this place. read more

Well to start off we went on a Friday night and they were super busy. We didn't wait long at all for a table. The waitress was swamped with large tables but had the best attitude. She took our drink order and gave us a few minutes to decide on our food and answered all of our questions. The food was great our only complaint was we did not get our drinks until they served us our food. I was here for their opening on Tuesday, March 31 and again today. The large number of people and, in particular the large number of big groups, was amazing. These factors along with being totally new staff overall made you realize it was gonna have a certain amount of delays with orders, etc. as well as possibly some minor glitches in orders. The manager is awesome and takes her time to visit tables and assist staff. She graciously comped my spouse and I's drinks and gave us a ten percent discount on our ticket due to the delay. This was not because we complained or otherwise, rather just because of the class type organization she is trying to build. The staff was working extremely diligently while learning how to handle such a crowd as well as possibly the new menu. I have nothing but praise for the young men and women who were trying to make every customer's visit the best it could be. The ambiance was tremendous. It has one of the most enjoyable set-ups and views of any Tex-Mex restaurant I have had the pleasure of dining at. I have not found a item on the menu yet that I would have anything negative to say about it. I look forward to trying more of the options in the future. The only minor question or complaint I would have is this was the only restaurant I have ever eaten at that charged me for a refilled drink to go as I was leaving. Definitely would recommend you try this establishment out for yourself. I will definitely be returning again. read more

I had high hopes and you have to around here because there's a Mexican food place on every corner. I don't believe in total slamming even though right now I am seething. The good: -My husband loved his carne guisada, he said it was very flavorful -both the red and the green salsa were very good -our server was nice but we saw her little in between arriving and leaving -ambiance was nice -The chips were good. The friendly gentleman, I wish I caught his name, brought out a second basket which tasted like old oil. When my husband asked him about it he agreed and quickly came with a fresh basket of chips. Mixed reviews - the charro beans to me were not very flavorful but my husband liked them - there was a wait for seating. My assumption is they are short staffed because there were many open seats when I walked through to the bathroom while we waited. The bad - I ordered the Casa Plate, subbed the refried beans with charro beans and subbed the beef enchilada for a cheese enchilada. The beans were the first thing I noticed that were not subbed so the waitress went to get me an order of charros. It took a long time and she said it was due to them being fresh (maybe that's why my husband liked his and I didn't, his had time to meld). While she was gone I realized it was a beef enchilada so another very long wait to get a cheese one. She was very apologetic and offered a sizable discount (about $16) on my plate given the confusion and wait. They also added a military discount for our meal. -my son had the refried beans and was not a fan even though he usually loves refried beans. The rice was dry and the beef fajita meat in the quesadilla was kind of lackluster. - the bill...BEWARE- check it before you leave! I hate the new practice of restaurants coming with their electronic devices and showing you the total and standing there while you pay. When I got the bill it seemed extremely high given the discounts ($83.15 total after a 20% tip) so after I paid and she was about to walk away I asked for a copy of my receipt. Come to find out I was charged for the guisada, the casa plate, an enchilada plate, and instead of being charged for a kid's quesadilla we were charged $18 for a brisket quesadilla. After I flagged down the waitress, I pointed out the discrepancy. Instead of voiding the bill and starting over (she blamed their system for adding things to our bill), they redid the bill and finalized it before coming back to me. So what they ended up doing was taking away all the discounts, charging for the guisada and for the casa plate. They graciously deleted the $8 kids meal for the inconvenience and but left the previous tip which was now the equivalent of a 35% tip so the bill was like $63! I was so done with everything at this point! The food was ok but not work the aggravation that we went through. Hope y'all get it together because like I said there are many choices and you really have to stand out as a Mexican restaurant around here. The first time we went, we had a group of us and sat on the patio. The waitress dumped a whole glass of ice water in my lap right off the bat. Nothing was ever said about it other than sorry. She was very embarrassed, but there was nothing else ever said about it. No management nobody else came by to check on me. I was fine. It just seemed funny that anywhere else somebody would've come and said something to me other than the waitress. We ordered the nachos and I guess we should've paid better attention because it is the type of nachos that are just piled on the plate and everything poured over the top. The flavor was good but we prefer the individual nachos if we can get it that way. The second time we went, thank you very much we were sitting in the back and the air conditioner vent was leaking. When the hostess sat us at the table, she looked up and I asked her what she was looking at to find out that she knew it was leaking, I could see it leaking. We sat down long enough to get up and move after the water started hitting us. We moved one table over and continued our meal. I ordered a plate that had a tamale and a cheese enchilada on it. I can't recall the name right off the top, but it was OK. The tamale was really mushy. Couldn't tell the difference between the masa and the meat. The waitress on the second trip was very nice and helpful. Upon leaving, I noticed the people at the table that we were originally set at were dodging water drops like we were, they kept getting hit and looking up. I told them we were seated there also until that happened then we moved. We are locals in the area and this restaurant is very convenient for us. I am sure we will eat there more and I am also sure they will probably improve but for the moment we will probably just continue to go to our regular spot that we go to for Mexican food. read more
