I first went with my coworker and we loved it!! I ordered the carnitas plate and she ordered the chile colorado. I returned and brought my boyfriend as he was craving a mojarra frita. Both times we went we had a great server who was also the cashier. Great customer service both times! I love the restaurant environment and will definitely be going back! We drive from Burbank to Baldwin park just to eat here!

SENIORS BEWARE!! ¡CUIDADO GENTE DE LA TERCERA EDAD! (Traducción después de versión en inglés) The only reason I'm leaving one star is because it's the only way to leave a post. I AM LIVID OVER HOW MY SENIOR MOM WAS LAUGHED AT AND TRIED TO BE MADE OUT AS AN IDIOT!!! My senior parents went in at 11 am on Saturday, Feb 10,2024. Ordered breakfast, and the pancakes mom ordered were burnt. She returned them to the waitress, and the waitress brought them back with powdered sugar. The cook attempted to just cover up the burnt pancakes. She returned them again, now the waitresses and cook are laughing. Takes them back, and they give her pancakes, again burnt. This time just flipped over, so she couldn't see that they were burnt. She is telling them she doesn't want burnt food, and they laughed at her. I attempted to look for an owner address, and there's nothing. I'm furious that my mom was embarrassed and still paid the $36 bill. These people should be ashamed of themselves, what if it would have been their parents. I'm sure they would have expected some respect, especially when paying for a service. It isn't like Casa Jimenez was giving the food for free!

We dined at Casa Jimenez after not visiting for such a long time. I'm happy to report that the quality still remains the same. I ordered my favorite dish, the Chicken Enchilada Lunch special, which they serve all day long. It comes with one enchilada, rice and beans. For $5.95, you can't go wrong. It comes piping hot, the rice is fluffy and flavorful, as well as the beans. The enchilada is chock full of shredded chicken (seems like more than I remember from before). I would have loved to have more of the tasty sauce on the inside of the enchilada, rather than just being on the top. I'm not a big eater, so it was plenty for me for dinner. I enjoyed it! They also serve complementary chips and salsa, two kinds... a hot red sauce, as well the salsa with chopped tomatoes. Ambience is nice and cozy inside with comfortable booths. Service was good too, and there is a parking lot behind the restaurant.

A Fun Little Mexican Spot for a Birthday Celebration!…read more Came here after work to celebrate a coworker's birthday, and we were greeted with a pretty good vibe and atmosphere! It wasn't packed at all around 5 PM on a Thursday, which was perfect for a little after-work dinner. The restaurant has a cool, casual Mexican vibe, and our waitress was super friendly and attentive throughout the meal. La Cosecha Molcajete -- $39.99 | 7/10 This was actually my second time ordering the La Cosecha Molcajete, so I already knew what I was getting into! A molcajete is basically a sizzling stone bowl filled with grilled meats, seafood, veggies, cheese, and a flavorful sauce--all served together so you can mix and match every bite. This one came loaded with skirt steak, chicken, two shrimp, cactus, cheese, and chorizo, along with a side of rice and beans. I also asked for both flour and corn tortillas, but only received the corn tortillas. Flavor-wise, it was decent! I've had molcajetes at several other Mexican restaurants, and I'd say this one was good but not my favorite. The sauce was flavorful, but I've definitely had better sauces elsewhere. Still, there's something fun about having a giant sizzling bowl of meat, shrimp, cheese, and all the fixings landing on your table! A few of my coworkers ordered other dishes that you'll see pictured, although I didn't personally try them enough to give ratings. My coworker did mention that the shrimp tacos were good but that she's had better. Overall, this is a cool little spot to grab some Mexican food, especially if you're looking for a casual place to hang out with coworkers or friends. Service was friendly, the atmosphere was nice, and the molcajete was definitely fun to order! Would I come back? I wouldn't say no! There are still plenty of things on the menu I'd love to try. Happy Eats!

Assuming a waiter had not yet arrived the host took our drink and food orders. Wife ordered the chilaquiles and I had ordered the brisket skillet. Food came out and I realized they brought me a plain skillet with no brisket. Waiter/host never came to check on us so by the time they did I just notified them that I did not receive any brisket and to make sure I was not going to get charged for it. They ended up discounting $8 so I was essentially charged the basic skillet price. The skillet was very average. Absolutely no seasoning was used. Lacked flavor, the cup of ketchup was the only thing that provided flavor. Wife's chilaquiles were pretty good. For the hour we were there the waiter only came by once. No refills provided. We had to flag them down for the check as we were done and had been waiting a while to leave. Overall we were a bit disappointed and most likely would not return.

You can park in the additional parking spots all around Shopper Ln. I have been a customer for many years and tried many delicious dishes. They serve a traditional Mexican open buffet at certain times. The waiting line is expected, but don't feel discouraged because it moves fast. The decor is vibrant enriched with colorful murals. The staff are very welcoming and genuinely warm. The restaurant has cozy and inviting ambience. Outdoor and indoor seating are available. I placed an online order for pickup. It was fast and convenient since I had friends coming for dinner. I ordered the following: - Burrito Panchon 5/5 Stuffed with carnita, beans and rice, served with cream, beans and guacamole. Huge portion! You can choose your protein. - Fajitas Cielo Mar Y Tierra 5/5 Marinated beef, shrimp, chicken. It served with sauteed bell peppers tomatoes and onions, rice, guacamole, beans and pico de gallo. It was smoky, savory and flavorful. - Vegetarian Enchiladas 5/5 Corn tortillas stuffed with bell pepper, corn, onion, carrot, cilantro, squash, and topped with a combination of cream and jack cheese. The portion was enormous. It was a very flavorful and savory. - Carna Asada 5/5 Flap meat marinated with homemade adobo. It served with pico de gallo, rice & guacamole. The meat was juicy and tender. It was such a delicious dish. - Empanadas 5/5 I chose chicken empanadas. It served with salad. The empanadas was crispy from outside and very flavorful. - Ensalada de Nopales 5/5 Diced cactus mixed with tomatoes, onion, lime, and cilantro. - Taquitos 5/5 It was crispy from outside with savory and juicy filling. - Taco de Cameron , taco de Pescado & taco de Birria 5/5 They were savory, juicy and delicious. - Beans 5/5 Topped with melted cheese, really delicious - Large Bionico Bowl 5/5 Fresh fruits like topped strawberries, mango, cantaloupe, banana, papaya, blueberries, apples, pineapple topped with granola and shaved coconut. It was rich, creamy. The fruits were fresh and sweet. It was heavenly! Every box was wrapped with layers of plastic wrap perfectly. I got a bag full of different types of salsa with my order and another bag with tortilla chips. The food portions were very generous. Every dish reflected authenticity and deliciousness. We were seated promptly by the hostess and our server came quickly to get our drinks. He was nice and checked in on us often and took plates away. The only thing I wouldn't order again is probably the mango michelada. My boyfriend and I love michis! But hmmm the mango tasted like mango which is accurate but for some reason it just didn't really work well with the taste of a michelada. I would just order a regular one next time! Just because we didnt like it, doesn't mean you wont or shouldn't try! Anyways, the food was fresh and good! I just kept eating the fresh tortillas haha they were absolutely delicious. Ummm their caldo de res ?! Amazing. Got like four servings haha couldn't help myself. I personally just love a shit ton of cilantro and onions on my plate so it was really nice they had a salsa bar next to the soups. My boyfriend liked the breakfast bar they had as well which I think stops at a certain time! They had a lot of different things and I loved that! The only thing that was sort of awkward but funny was this girl randomly came up out of nowhere while we were eating and asked us to get closer so she could take a photo for us. We were kind of like huh? Haha because we were in the middle of eating so I wasn't really wanting to take a photo at that time. But we just went with it and smiled and then she took a couple more and then she said ok I'll be right back. And then maybe like 10 min later she comes back with one smaller photo with the border being Guadalajara's grill like location and times and stuff and us in the middle HAHA and then says that's for us and it's free and then takes out two more bigger ones of us that are just in like a felt frame, which was nice but said these cost like can't remember how much it was. But it was enough for me to say no hahaha and also I think we were both just caught off guard and when we said no thank you, she sort of looked up at someone (almost like signaling them that we said no) and gave a smirk and walked away HAHAH it was so awkward and weird but when I opened my purse later and found it I started laughing bc it just created a funny moment and memory. Anyways this place is good, seems hit or miss but definitely should be tried at least once! Very fresh and good, service is fast and attentive! This is probably the cheapest lunch buffet I've had and it was definitely worth it!
