Didn't like to eat there because fruit flies fly around your head when you are eating. Food is good but problem with bugs.

Just left this place with my 3 kids, hubby and mother in law. This was the 3rd time we went here…read more We used to like it, the food is good, pretty pricey but since the food is good, we still come here. However, the man who runs the restaurant got mad at us for simply using American Express. My husband asked him if he can pay by credit card, he said yes. My husband, put the card in, like the usual and paid. The man noticed after the transaction that it was American Express and he all of a sudden burst out which caught everybody's attention & telling my husband that American Express is not a credit card (what????) and talking to him as if my husband is an idi*t. Im glad my husband kept his cool bcoz his mom was there. It is not our fault that it caused them some fee for getting payment from Amex. He could have specified that they only accept Visa or MC. We came, eat and paid, he even got a tip of course! We are good customer but definitely doesn't deserve the treatment after the payment fiasco. Bottomline, we will definitely not coming back here anymore bcoz of his attitude. Cant help but spread the word to my family and friends. Attached photo with rice & salad is $70.00 + tax.

The manager placed our tables nicely so that everyone was able to talk to everyone. The service was slow but worth waiting for. Found my Dorade fish a little on the greasy side. Did not appreciate that the menu on line and the menu in store had a significant difference in price! I also did not appreciate that no one received a bill but we all paid taxes.

So let me tell you about my experience! Being a professional…read moreChef myself, makes it a challenge for me to find great food outside of my own kitchen. Well folks, I found it. We decided to go to Le Charleville simply because of the great terrace they had, no other reason. What a lucky day that was for me Starting with the wonderful staff that greeted us, we sat at the prime seat on the terrace. A beautiful summer night. We ordered from the Table Gourmand menu as suggested by our server. It began with the freshly baked bread basket. Followed by the best Sweet Potatoe soup I have ever tasted in my life. Rich and succulent, it tickled my tastebud just from the aroma. Next was the Salmon Tartare and the Shrimp Cerviche. We shared these simply because I wanted to experience both flavors. Soft and delecate seafood paired with mango and tomatoe served in a beautiful martini glass. The tartare served with croustinis of bread, such a performance to continue my meal. I ordered the Mussels with "chef sauce" which turned out to be a delicious "Madagascar sauce" warm, with decadent flavors and aromas and my partner had the surf and turf, which had big lush scampi and melt in your mouth steak. After sadly finishing the bowl of mussles, the sauce was simply too good to go to waste so we threw in the french fries, took the rest of the bread and sopped it all up. What a great idea. The trou Norman in between meals was the perfect palate cleanser. We finished strong with a warm pear dessert with ice cream. I met Stephane the Chef, and described how wonderful our meal was. Since then I have been talking about it to everyone who will listen. A great great restaurant in a place you wouldnt think to go. Stop by and visit. Tell them Chef Peg says Hi.

What a great meal we had but the service sucked…read more We all god the same meal so it was easy half pound shrimp and you pick your sauce and heat. The part that really sucked they didn't have any corn ! Which is terrible. I had to get rice which I didn't end up eating. The lady at the counter was ignoring clients and the old people in front of us through their hands in the air when she decided to take a phone call while looking at them walking to the cash. She was just not happy to be there and very slow. Our food sat there for a little bit we kept making eye contact with her so she would know but just would look back at the food and then leave it. Someone came to take over for her as maybe they noticed that she wasn't happy. I won't lie tho the food was great the sauce the crab one with butter and lemon pepper was amazing! We all said we would all eat it again just pick up delivery or try the location in the West Island.

I genuinely crave eating here at least once every few weeks and with price that aren't unaffordable I often give into those cravings. You can always switch up your side your mains or your favouring so there's never really the opportunity to be bored either! The staff always goes out of their way to make sure you are taken care of even though the restaurant is always busy! This spot is always a treat and worth coming to see !

There is on bathroom on the main floor by the pizza oven and more downstairs. The waiters and waitresses were friendly, but I think we needed more of them, or for them to come by more often since we had 30 people and we were constantly in need of water and soda refills. They brought warm rolls to the tables which were divine. I love when an Italian restaurant has good bread and even better when they are served warm. There was a preset menu so I ordered the salmon which came in a creamy lemon sauce with a side of pasta with butter and parmesan. The salmon was cooked perfectly and the sauce was delicious (I ended up putting the sauce on the pasta). It was a nice sized portion and I really enjoyed the dish. I would go back.

When we got there the staff seemed to be scurrying around and distracted so we had to wait a few minutes before checking the reservations for the evening. We were then taken to a long table near the far end. It felt somewhat out of the way so we asked if there was anything closer to the front. We were then moved to the front of the same long table (cushioned back seat). It was a better location but we couldn't figure out why the staff was running around and acting as though they were expecting the Prime Minister to walk in. There was a birthday party going on but they didn't necessitate everyone's time. There were tables by the window that were open and remained that way until we were finished our meal, which was just after 7:00pm. It started getting busy then. We shared a carafe of House Red from a lovely & attentive server named Véronique and then we each ordered a pizza from their huge selection. I had the delicious Mediterranean, which had fresh tomatoes, spinach, onions, fresh herbs, garlic and feta cheese and my niece had the Vieux Four (with smoked meat) pizza which she really enjoyed. We were honoured when the owner, M. Manago himself, stopped by our table to say hello. Even though the food was good, I don't think I'd go back to this place next time I'm in town, unless I'm with a dignitary or the Prime Minister.
