The service was great--everyone we interacted with was friendly and welcoming. The menu is pretty extensive, especially when it comes to tacos, so there are plenty of options to choose from. I tried the asada, carnitas, birria, and adobada tacos. All were decent, with the birria being my favorite. The other meats weren't bad by any means, but they were a bit on the drier side compared to some other taco spots I've been to. The rice and beans were pretty standard--exactly what you'd expect, nothing particularly standout. One thing I really liked, though, was the self-serve salsa bar. It's always a plus being able to customize your flavors. One thing to note is that you do need to bus your own table, but considering the price and portion sizes, it feels fair and worth it. Overall, a solid spot for a casual meal. I'll definitely be exploring more of this area of Renton--there seem to be a ton of authentic Mexican restaurants nearby. We went late at night, so options were a bit limited at the time, but this was a good find.

These are the nicest people you would ever want to meet. This is clearly the BEST Mexican food I have ever eaten in my 54 years. The atmosphere and energies of the restaurant are warm, calming, and inviting. You feel like you have gone to someone's private home and mama is in the kitchen cooking. You know that when you sit down you are in for a real treat. The salsa was fresh and had the perfect balance of flavors. My wife loved the Guacamole as it was perfectly made and not spicy. I had the Burrito Durango which was a flour tortilla with pinto beans (perfectly cooked), guacamole, sour cream, and I chose the ground beef option, it was so yummy and the portion completely filled me up. My wife had the Enchiladas a la Crema which she said was absolutely delicious. We both love tamales, so we each got a side order of the pork tamales which were divine. My wife took home a serving of flan for dessert. The prices for everything were most reasonable and the portions served were huge. Everything was perfectly spiced, perfectly cooked and absolutely delicious. We are already looking forward to our next visit to Casa Durango. read more

I was drawn to this restaurant because of the owner responses. I read a 2-star review, later updated to a 4-star review because of the customer service of the owner. I loved that so I had to come see for myself. The service was wonderful. The food was absolutely delicious. The portions are very generous, great flavors, and the menu offers a great variety. I usually try different places everytime I travel, but in this case I will probably have another meal here before heading back home to Florida. If you have not been here yet, it's worth it! Stopped by here on the recommendation of a friend. Wow, were we amazed! This is the best mexican food I've had since long time flavors were so fresh and vibrant! We tried a variety of dishes, including my first ever which was fantastic. I like spicy food. Service is excellent. Very friendly, attentive and thoughtful. They are proud of their food and have fun doing what they do. This rubs off, leaving you with a great feeling. I LOVE Casa Durango. The owner Antonio and his staff are so friendly and nice. They greet me by name every time I go there. Their fajitas and margaritas are my fave! I also love that they have Karaoke Thursday-Saturday. They will play any song you want to sing and it is always a blast. My only complaint is that sometimes they don't answer their phone when I call to order take-out. But they are super fast anyways, so I never have to wait long. read more

I like my cheese to bubble and stretch and I also like to blow on my food because you took care to serve it as hot as possible. Considering 230 reviews for a place that has been in business for probably 50 years, clearly someone reset the review count. I've also noticed the last couple years, none of the faces are familiar, so I assume ownership has changed. That said, services is always friendly, but the food is boring and bland and not reflective of Mexico. This place was once 5 star, and they could do it again, if you put the spirit of Mexico back in the kitchen.
