Decent food, not amazing. It's probably the best Mexican spot in Monroe because they didn't have any decent competition. Service is ok.

The…read morelobster roll and poutine were both very good, which isn't something you can take for granted at a waterfront spot that could easily coast on location alone. That said, the space feels like it's still finding its identity. The bones are there, but the atmosphere lacks the warmth and character that would match the quality of what's coming out of the kitchen. Right now it reads a bit generic - like those overly curated Airbnb interiors where everything looks fine but nothing feels intentional. The details seem a little unfinished, rough around the edges. With some thoughtful touches - maybe a richer, moodier paint color and some meaningful art that reflects the local character or the restaurant's personality - this place could really come together. The food deserves an environment that matches its ambition.

Let's get to the food shall we. * Bang Bang Shrimp - Its really nice big shrimp. The sauce surfaces really well. I did enjoy this dish. 8/10 * Lobster Brie - The dips is a little muted. Cant really taste the lobster in the dip. Over all pretty good. 7.2/10 * Whipped Feta - It's nice and light. I can taste the honey. Bread is nice too. 7/10 Truffle Fries - Truffle is present. Sweet and savory finish. Its definitely pleasant. 8.2/10 Rock Fries - Cheese is prominent. A little too much actually. The bacon add more depth. The red onions are necessary. 8/10 Blue Gill Slider - I can taste the fish. Theres a slight finish. The tartar sauce isnt very present. 7.4/10 Spicy Fried Chicken - Superb! I did enjoy the texture. Everything I expect from a chicken sandwich is on point. 8.2/10 Lamb - Its a little salty. Almost smacks you in the mouth. The lamb does surface, but all i could really think about it salt. 6.8/10 The setting, specially the outdoor area is dope. Service is very attentive which does take rating to at least a 4 star. It's beautiful inside, the servers and staff are attentive and helpful, and the food is always very good. For example, my client ordered the Blackened Shrimp Alfredo and the shrimp were carefully placed to be standing up in a circle which was so much more attractive than if they were simply laying in the pasta and sauce. I also appreciate the convenient location off of 475 and the large parking lot.

I was disappointed in the lack of European wines but found an Italian on the last bottle list. It was $150 but I was desperate. Unfortunately, our server didn't come back for 15 min to take our order and then when she finally delivered it, she broke the cork because she didn't screw down far enough. Alcohol is a big money maker yet we sat for 40 minutes before it was poured. The food was the main problem. Not only a super slow kitchen but it was then served refrigerator cold. Everything. Fish, steak, green beans, baked potatoes, mashed potatoes, even the plate was frigid. So we sent it back and instead of preparing a new plate, they tried to just warm it and brought it back cold..again. This was a $75 plate of food. At this point, we were concerned about food safety and said to just forget it. Luckily we had bread with our wine but they never offered anything else other than not charging us for the food which we didn't even touch. This was two hours after our arrival so went home hungry after paying for the wine. To top it off, there was a loud, raging fight in the bar area that we heard across the restaurant so we waited until they had left, concerned about a physical altercation. She said it's their policy to never refund food. I heard the discussion she had with the bar manager and she didn't try to help us, they both basically talked bad about us and the manager refused to take it off. About 30 minutes later, when she brought our bill, she said they would substitute them for another appetizer to go. So we did that. The place is deceiving from the outside. It looks like a nice spot, but inside it's more like a dive bar with regulars screaming at golf on tv. Service was slow and mediocre. We ordered some appetizers and side salads but were there for over an hour because she rarely ever came back to our table. It took 46 minutes to get our bill. The Bosticks were alright. Crispy on the outside. Tasted kinda sweet to me though, so they weren't my favorite. I didn't try the onion rings because the batter looked gross. Side salad with creamy Italian dressing was fine. Fries were thick but tasted ok, not very crispy. Would not ever come back or recommend.

Chateau Louise - Fried pickles. They use a really funky pickle that I suspect is home made, and it's perfectly complimented by the cracker like fried batter.
