    Horchata latte

Second time at Casa Cactus and have enjoyed my coffee each time! I got an iced horchata latte and it was perfectly made and so refreshing. The baristas are friendly and the cafe has a neighborly feel with a Latin American design influence. Check out the cactus shop across the street!

As soon as i stepped in i was instantly intrigued. The scenery is beautiful and full of culture. Even the dishes used were gorgeous. It's also extremely spacious easily one of the biggest neighborhood cafés I've been in. Staff was nice and helpful with any questions i had and gave suggestions as well. Only issue was the food and drinks were just okay nothing too special which is unfortunate since everything else was well above expectations. Would love to give them another chance eventually.

Calling out all College students, coffee enthusiasts, ethnic junkies and adventure seekers! What a blast this place was. If you love your "cafe de olla" this is a great place to get a little taste of home with some coffee and treats. I got mine in a ceremony mug that fits the rest of the vibes of this place! The staff is very friendly and know how to make you feel at home. The cactus decor is fantastic (the music...a little random haha...but nothing headphones can't fix ;)) My concha was warm and spongy! There was plenty of seating space. And several tables to get work done. They seem to have a "back"room with pots and plants..maybe they hold classes of some sort around here, but it was not occupied. Will definitely come back when I'm in the area and bring some friends to experience it!

I stopped here because I love coffee and I love plants, and this place does both well. This coffee shop is tucked in the neighborhood as if it was always there. I saw the new menu online and had to try the cherry Garcia ice latte. It was really good, I would suggest to add more chocolate flavor to it. The chocolate shavings backslash chunks are a nice treat throughout the drink, but more of that chocolate flavor would be nice. They have a variety of plants throughout the café as well and I believe they have a conference area in the back. The staff here are amazing!

cafe de olla & guave & cheese empanada

I personally was so happy to be introduced to a good cup of cafe de olla :') It tasted just like the one I had in Mexico City. The empanada pastry was not my favorite. Dry & empty in taste with how hollow it was on the inside. The ambiance was very Mexican. I loved the plants, patterns, & colors. Would visit again!

Coffee was delicious! Plenty of seating, great for studying or working. The plants, decor, and lighting made for such a cozy environment.

This is a true local coffee shop. You really won't find laptops here on a Sunday, at least I did not see any when I went. Most people were either from the area or friends meeting up with each other. Newcomers such as myself admired the beautiful details throughout the space. Seriously, it feels like walking into your interior decorator friend's apartment. Chill vibes, records, plants and beautiful eclectic Mexican decor. I cannot wait to see this cafe in November, I just know their space would look amazing for Dia de Muertos. The iced cafe the Olla was delicious, perfectly sweet. It's definitely a small curated menu but they know what they're doing. There is enough seating but overall it's a small place and it gets lively in the morning!

strawberry oatmilk matcha - SO GOOD!

I am so sad they got rid of the strawberry matcha drink! They have a seasonal pumpkin oat matcha drink now. It's not sweet but nowhere near as good as the strawberry matcha was.

Casa Cactus is a lovely combination of my favorite things - plants and coffee. I stopped by for a post Thanksgiving pick me up and fell in love with this sun drenched and cactus filled cafe. Flickering candles were spread throughout and a record player had on soothing music. There is ample seating which makes this a great spot to work or study. The cafe menu included various pastries plus drip coffee, cold brew, and my favorite- cafe con leche coffee. There's plenty of non caffeinated drinks as well. The barista was incredibly friendly and took time to go over the menu and non dairy options for my friend. Casa cactus is an exciting new addition to the neighborhood and I cannot wait to go back!

Very cool interior and nice ambiance. The employees were super friendly and the coffee was good. I loved the mug that it came in, too.

There is street parking but no seating except for a small bench outside. It was hot outside so I wanted a cold drink, so I went with their Chocolate and Pistachio Iced Coffee. Unfortunately, this wasn't it for me. I couldn't even taste the chocolate and pistachio...it was like garnish on the cup more than anything. I tasted the espresso shots briefly but it was all milk afterwards. Since I got there in the afternoon, I decided on their Breakfast Sandwich for a late lunch. This one hit the spot for me! Bacon, soft scrambled eggs, caramelized onions and sriracha...delicious! For my pastry, I chose the Guava Cheese Bread. It's like a bigger and denser version of pao de queijo. Really liked how the tartness of the guava jam complimented the savoriness of the bread. A little bummed the drink wasn't a home run for me because that's mostly the reason I came but I'll give it another chance! Also, it's a dog friendly place so that's always a plus for me!

Coffee is impressive and lemonade fresh as it gets. Cute cute cute fun place to visit. Their beignet was too doughy and dense today- maybe didn't have time to let yeast rise properly. We are willing to try again. Remember to order properly if you order 2 for 6$ set you can add a third for 2$ but if you order 4 more they they charge for 3$ each. We wanted 6 today so next time will remember to order 2x3 for 6$ instead of set of 2 then 4 more on side. But the owner was super kind so we didn't mind one way or another. She let us try their sauces and they were both amazing. I think addition of chocolate sauce like Grand Lux used to have in their triple sauce set, may be a crow pleaser.

Though it was the last thing we ate, what demonstrates their cred is the beignets! Generously dusted with sugar, perfect with a well-made cup of coffee. Before dessert, we had the gumbo, the brisket poboy, and an order of fries. All parts of the meal were great. While a trifle difficult to find, due to minimal signage outside. This store front cafe is extraordinarily neat and clean. This is clearly a family business. Even the logo, which is a picture of the owner's grandmother. Junebug is worth the trip from wherever you are.
