Excellent restaurant; great food, service and wine! Highly recommended and the town of Soller is worth the trip from Palma.

An amazing restaurant!! The food at Casa Alvaro is incredible, you can see and taste how much thought and care went into each dish. It's hard to choose a favorite dish because they were all delicious but we tried the goat cheese toast, oxtail, creme catalana, chorizo. Each dish had such a stunning flavor and this was easily one of the best restaurants we went to in the Soller area. If you want to order Paella make sure you go to their website and contact them a day ahead of time so they can prepare it for you. The chef came outside a few times to check on everyone which I thought was so sweet and really shows how much he cares about the quality of the food he serves. Our waitress Laura was also so friendly and welcoming. If you are anywhere near Soller or Port de Soller, skip the tourist trap restaurants and come here instead. Gracias Chef Alvaro!!! read more

The food was excellent! We ordered a lot of dishes and they were all great, our favorite was the octopus/mussels dish. We also got the beef, goat cheese, and crab tapas... all top notch. The waiter was very friendly and attentive, and the chef came out to personally thank us and asked us how the food was. Overall I had a great experience. read more

A hidden gem in Soller!!! We feel so lucky to have found this amazing restaurant! The owner was very warm and friendly with us which made our visit even more pleasant! The food was the star here! We started with their tomato carpaccio which was the freshest and had an amazing touch of truffle! Next, we tried the octopus tacos which happened to be the best octopus tacos we have ever tried hands down! The owner added a little touch of Mexican flavor to them and they were amazing! I do not recall the name of the other two dishes we tried but we absolutely loved and indulged in all of them! Freshest ingredients and the chef's special touches made these dishes out of this world! If you happen to be in Soller, make this a definite stop for lunch or dinner! You will be so glad you did!!! read more

This is easily one of the best meals we have ever had. We liked it so much that in 4 nights on Mallorca we ate here twice. We ate tapas both times. The tapas were all amazing, but the stand outs for us were the octopus, Iberian cheek, and foie Gras with apple. The chef came to our table both nights and was gracious and lovely. We went to this place after taking the old timey train to Soller. I was not overall impressed with Soller, it is very cool from the train, but when you get down to it, it really is just a touristy little town. This restaurant however, was really really good. We tried a bunch of different things, but the stand out was by far the black rice paella with squid and truffle oil. I have never tried something so uniquely delicious. read more

I've been fortuned enough to travel a lot and eat at countless amazing restaurants my whole life. Many with Michelin stars. But I must say this is one of the best dining experiences I've ever had. The food was beyond amazing. How does he even do it? How does he come up with these amazing combinations? How is the patatas bravas the most amazing and simplest dish you've ever had. I can't wrap my mind around it, but it was too good. The service was beyond good too. We asked him to just bring us his version of the chefs table with some "must haves" we picked from the menu. The waiter was 10/10. Nice, polite, great knowledge and everything else you need. The chef came out to us a bunch of times to ask us how our meal was and told us amazing stories about cooking. Great experience. Located in a smaller street, so it's very quiet. Fantastic food and drinks, very friendly staff.

On a side street away from the touristy restaurants in the Soller square we stumbled upon this great restaurant. They serve both the classic tapas and more fun alternative options. We followed the chefs recomendations. Among the dishes we ordered (3 p/p is enough) were the fois gras on toast with caramelized apple and onions, garlic prawns (one of the best prawns I have ever had!) , flank steak with hummus and calamari. To finish off we had the chocolate fondant. The service was great, the location felt genuine and the food was delicious! Skip the tourist traps and come here :) read more

We rode the train from Palma to Sóller. Checked out Yelp along the way. Casa Alvaro was amazing! Every dish was delicious. Our waiter, Victor was great. We actually thought it was his place. We were surprised to find out that he had only been working there for 4 days! Definitely check this place out! The foie gras special was delicious. Also try the garden vegetables, flank steak and the butter fish. We ordered a local red wine that was really tasty, called Supernova. You won't be disappointed with this place. read more
