She let me know that they don't take walk-in patients, but she would check with the doctor and ask if he was able to stay a little longer and see me. Dr. DiGiovanni agreed and examined my eyes. He assured me that it was not serious and gave me samples and recommendations on how to take care of the issue. I highly recommend a visit to Bala Eye Care for great service and expert care. Today, I had the newest Ophthalmologist for my second time. Dr. Jazmin Logendra saw me today after making the appointment yesterday because I was having issues because of my age. She spent forty five minutes with me, had other technicians run other scans and tests on my eyes. She put all the information together and will now discuss all of it with the Senior Ophthalmologist. She feels quite sure, based on the the information what has to be done to fix my issue. She is very kind, efficient, soft spoken, makes sure that I understand everything that she is saying. She also had me take short breaks because the positions were hard to hold! I would highly recommend Dr. Logendra for all of your eye needs. She is TOPS!

I had my eye glass prescription filled by another place and the glasses just weren't right...I took the Same prescription to Optical Options and the difference was amazing! Same prescription, but much better vision! I would not go anywhere else. And I love working with Denise Allen. She is so knowledgeable, professional, accommodating and just plain nice. I arrived at 8:30 for an 8:45 appointment and I left the office at 10:20 after skipping my dilation. I have a rare eye issue and skipping a yearly dilation is not safe, but I worried if I did it that I would be there for three hours instead of two. Dr. Nolan went as fast as she could and apologized, but then when I went to the front desk to pick up my prescriptions I had to wait another 15 minutes on top of the over 1.5 hours I had already spent in that building. I was going to be late for a meeting for work, so I went in the back and begged them to just hand me my scripts and send me a bill and they debated with me that I still needed to wait until the doctor came out and handed me the paperwork herself. The front desk is exceedingly rude, and for the record, I had an incomplete yearly eye exam that took two hours start to finish and only because I made a scene. They should seriously be embarrassed of what they have done to this practice.

I selected Jahnle because of convenient location, free parking, and yes, examination, and eyeglasses. Stacks of eyeglasses in different colors and styles were neatly positioned ahead as I entered the office. The office was eye-pleasing, properly lit, and well-appointed. The staff was professional and courteous. An assistant promptly completed a questionnaire as I provided answers about my health status. She applied drops for the standard Glaucoma and retinal examinations. The tests were conducted quickly and comfortably. Best yet, no sign of vision deterioration and no need for replacement glasses. The examining physician, Dr. Mekel, indicated that I would not need another exam for two years. Although glasses could be ordered here, he provided a prescription in the event I wished glasses manufactured elsewhere. A pleasant experience!

The staff was very helpful in working with me to determine how best to apply my eye insurance benefits. The eye doctor, Dr. Berger, was knowledgeable, precise, fast and just an all around very nice person. The contact appointment is pricey ($78 and not usually covered by most insurances); it's a bit pricier than my old place in Blue Bell, but not obscene. However while that is a bit pricey, the contacts are priced at the same rates as 1800contacts so I'll surely order through this office in the future. Plus, I was able to easily apply my Davis Vision benefits which almost completely covered a 6 month supply of 2-week contacts! The only complaint was I had a long wait, about an hour after my appointment was supposed to begin. But I think that was unusual because an eye emergency case walked in while I was waiting.

The staff is great and will help you understand the "options" but in the invoice, they will put that insurance should cover "xyz" My advice. Know your coverage. I am not completely blaming them, i own my mistakes. But, they will claim they know what your coverage is and i blindly trusted them 2x in a row. For example. my insurance will cover an exam once every 2 years. They told me it was every year. Silly me, i forgot to check my coverage before i went. So, they gave me invoice. said insurance would cover $175. When i knew after i left it won't, so now i need to pay an additional bill. Again, i know that it's my coverage, so i own that. They act as trusted advisors who guide you with options. To be quite frank, it's honestly pretty confusing at times.

Additionally, I have a PPO with very low copays, but my last visit here which lasted 10 minutes with the doctor and almost two hours in the waiting room cost me over $200. I could go on, but I don't have time at the moment. I may update this review later to explain the additional reasons I will never return here, and advise you to look elsewhere.
