The response I received made the interaction feel slightly tense, including being told I could "find someone else" if needed. When the technician arrived, I explained the issues and the codes I already had. During the inspection, the technician began deeper inspection work on the vehicle. I was not clearly informed beforehand that more extensive disassembly or work beyond a basic diagnostic could result in additional charges. Afterward, I was told the diagnostic would actually be $200 due to the depth of the inspection, despite originally being quoted $65. After discussing this, I was ultimately charged $75. I expressed concern that the pricing change was not communicated upfront. The owner later acknowledged that he should have communicated a pricing range and that this was a mistake on his part.
