The concept of Once Upon a Child is brilliant but there are a lot of cons to it as well. Kind of got to curb your enthusiasm with this place. If you are selling - you are only allowed to bring in so many bins/laundry baskets full of your things. Garbage bags are not allowed. Lately this store has allowed 2 bins to try to sell. Each store is different with how they will take clothes that you want to sell. My favorite is carrying a 20 gallon storage bin and barely being able to open the door - all your pride is out of the window trying to open that door along with your bins. Staff barely acknowledge your presence. There is a kiosk that you have to enter your driver's license in the back of it and this inputs your information. It lets you know how long the wait will be. Depending on the day, I have waited an hour but other times it has been hours and hours, might as well come back the next day. The staff will then hand you your receipt and tag your bin. I try to stick around to shop so then I can use the 15% off coupon they give you when they buy your items. The store is packed - shoes, clothes, books, seasonal items, and toys in between. Most clothes I see are being sold for $7 or less - mostly $5-4 is usually the items I have bought. The clothes are clean and I feel for fast fashion, cheaper to buy here then on Amazon. I asked to see what clothes they took out of curiosity and the staff was adamant that I had to keep the clothes in order of how they were laid in their bin. This store seems to like sports gear like a Lions or Tigers shirt and name brands. The most they have taken from me was 23 items, last time I went they took 16 items but I had my 20 gallon storage bin that was full. You can ask for either store credit or cash. I usually try to buy things while I am there to just make it a wash and use the 15% coupon with my transaction. One staff member was amazing in my many times coming here - otherwise, no customer service and staff seem miserable working there. But as a mom - not left with many choices. There are consignment stores in the area but I don't have time for that. I usually donate my clothes to the Grace Center of Hope - Women and Children's Center. Good luck, moms!

There's a fancy side and a "normal" side separated by a skybridge. My daughter and I started on the fancy side and did a little damage and then made our way across the bridge. Favorites included Ralph Lauren, Alo, Vuori & Aritzia (with it's own cafe). We only had a few hours to kill before we had to pick up my sons, but could have easily spent all day here and it wasn't easy getting her to leave! We weren't the only shoppers on this rainy fall day. The place was packed and the stores were "black friday" level busy. It brought me back to the good old days of mall shopping and made me long for a great indoor mall in Chicago. Maybe some day, but in the meantime will get my indoor mall shopping fix when we visit the Detroit burbs.

I reached out for assistance and was directed to the security team by help desk. The help desk was very rude and disrespectful. They requested my credit card information and phone number, assured me that someone would follow up, and then completely failed to contact me afterward. A customer dealing with thousands of dollars in fraudulent charges should not be ignored after providing requested information in good faith. At minimum, I expected basic communication, professionalism, and accountability. Instead, I received no update, no explanation, and no follow-through. This experience has seriously damaged my trust in this store's customer service and security response. I hope management reviews how fraud-related customer concerns are handled, because leaving customers without any response after asking for sensitive information is unacceptable.

Leon & Lulu are the owners' dog and cat. I discovered that when I told my associate, Susan, that I…read morewas taking photos for Yelp. I was then given an impromptu tour that I truly enjoyed. The store is full of eclectic and vibrant decor that will speak to the hearts of artists everywhere, ranging from clothing, to furniture, to toys and museum quality gifts. It has a variety of quirky finds that I've never seen before. The intention here is almost like a local gallery exalting each stunning piece of art, no matter how small. The pieces ranged from the very tiny porcelain dog, which was about the size of your thumb, to the very large bears, that were furry and taller than me. Colorful, diverse art dotted the walls and were displayed in all different living room themes for all different tastes and styles of home. This was a clever idea. You could picture the decor in your own home. "Buy local" is the intention here and deteriorating properties were bought up by the owner and given a stunning facelift to elevate the community. This was a closed down roller rink. There was also a cinema next door that turned to a gift shop and off beat eatery. The unique history of each is preserved in the original artifacts throughout. Being that this is art focused and unique, don't have the expectation of Walmart prices. Of course you're getting one-of-a-kind quality pieces that will make your heart sing when you see your selected art displayed proudly in your home. Leon & Lulu also will give you a discount for your birthday if you share that information. If you're in Ferndale, Clawson or Detroit, put this store on your must visit list.

If you're looking for something unique, funny, fun, or more of a traditional purchase then this place is for you. We were able to purchase some very cool gifts for friends and family that were tailored to their personality. The shop's staff was very friendly and helpful when we needed them and they were also pretty available when we needed someone even though they were a bit busy. As for the prices I would put them on par for a place that sells the selection that this place has. You can find some items that are cheaper (not cheaply made), and other items that are pretty high (saw a pillow for around $300 ). I will definitely be putting this place on my list of shops to go for the next time I need to shop for friends and family!

There's no denying it's presence in any mall because most teeny boppers, flamboyant gay guys, metrosexuals and even street gangsters flock through their doors as if they were hypnotized by the three character sign. Why not, quality fashion magazine type clothing without the magazine type clothing prices. It's a great start for the average simpleton to get their feet wet in fashion. Recently added to the Oakland mall repertoire, there's really nothing much to say about this shop. Awkward location, awkward mall and just plain awkward period. There just isnt a good selection in this shop compared to the other H&M's. On a good note, this store is very neat and orderly. I still like the clothes sold here,, remember, the regular H&M label is cut European size, so you're gonna have to move up a size. The other Divided label are cut for normal American size. That you for reading my review. Enjoy the rest of your day/evening.
