I love the Children's Place. I really do. I love it despite their slow customer service and sloppiness. You won't find deals like theirs on children's clothing anywhere else! Let's be honest, who wants to spend 30 bucks on a pair of shorts and a shirt for a 1 year old who will inevitably a)outgrow them in 2 months, or b) ruin them with baby mess? Not this girl. I'd much rather shop Children's Place online, where the deals are generally better and you don't have to deal with customer service issues. Sometimes, however, you need to visit the store to make sure certain things fit. In-store bonus: they price match their website. Last time I bought from them, I spent 17 dollars on 5 shirts and 2 shorts for my son, as well as 2 rompers and shorts for my daughter. I dare you to find better prices anywhere else.

The quality is excellent, and unless our kids grow too fast, these will last a very long time. The staff and ownership are extremely friendly and take the time to put outfits together so you really get an excellent bang for your buck. Given that some of this stuff will only be used a few times or for a short period, it's a pretty good deal. Aside from just clothing, they also carry toys, strollers, baby slings and carriers, books, infant care items, blankets, and roller skates. They have items intended for everything from newborns to pre-teens. For Miamians, I think the cold-weather clothing might be particularly useful because buying snow boots and jackets for a child that will outgrow the items before next year's trip up North would otherwise be unnecessarily costly. You can also bring in your own items and they will try to sell them for you and give you a cut of the sale. You can then take a check if your balance is over a certain amount, or use your store credit there. They'll only accept clean items in good condition, and items that meet certain standards. The drawbacks: the store is a bit small and crowded, so it's not ADA accessible and some of the items are located in places you wouldn't think. You have to spend some time and look around to find things sometimes.

Whether that's a certain type of shoe or whether it's informing you of using coupons or the store having a sale, they do it all. Not to mention that they also order shoes for you if they don't have them at the store. That last bit happened to me on my last visit and it wasn't even three days later when I received the shoes I ordered. I also got a second pair of shoes at the store and essentially I made out like a bandit as two pairs of heels cost $40. Oh, and I have a coupon I could use much later, so score for me. Love me some DSW, and well, you would, too, if you went to this store. Even my boyfriend likes this store, and eh, like most men, he rather be caught dead than shopping, so that is major accomplishment.
