They placed their clearance items in the front of the store which is convenient before getting to the back of the store. The only reason why I didn't give this store a full 5 is the staffing issues they are dealing with. The teenagers are young but they haven't been fully trained to do their job before the store opened. It's ok though the manager is doing her best. One of the staff members mentioned they are doing interviews in the back so maybe in some months the store's customer service will be a littler better. I love the self scanning system too! When I measured them at home, the inseam was 28 inches--not 30--so the item was clearly defective or mislabeled. I called customer care and was told to take the pants to the Westfield Mall in Bethesda MD store. On 10/18/25 I went to the store, after explaining the issue to several associates, I was directed to the selling manager, despite the straightforward problem (a 28" inseam on a 30L pant), I wasn't offered a normal defective-item return. The options I was left with were essentially to keep them, donate them, or leave them at the store--apparently "issue a refund for a defective product" didn't make the list that day. I left the pants and order confirmation email printout at the store and expected a refund to my credit card. No refund ever posted. I'm requesting a full refund to my original form of payment and written confirmation that the pants I left at the store were processed as a defective return. I'd also appreciate a review of store handling for defective merchandise

I loved the way the shop was organized. There were clothes for the whole family from adults to children. The place was packed with clothing at every angle and from top to bottom. I really liked some of the fabrics, they were so soft. I was offered help as soon as I walked in the door, so service was good. The prices were excellent. Some of the cute tops were only $25. That is a deal. Unfortunately, I didn't find anything that I liked. But, I am sure my granddaughters are going to love this place. Welcome to the mall Uniqlo!

Throughout the process, I kept showing the employee the 8 hangers as I was switching items. At some point, the employees switched, and another woman came out and seemed to be saying that the cart had to be outside of the fitting room area, even though it already was. She also had a very thick accent, so I was having difficulty understanding what she was saying. Her tone was also very rude, which made the situation even more uncomfortable. Then, without really explaining anything, she grabbed my cart and pushed it into the aisle. At that point, I was completely confused about the fitting room process and how I was even supposed to try on the clothes. I ended up leaving the cart and going home. I get that they don't want people stealing but at this point it feels like they don't want you to buy anything. The whole experience was unnecessarily frustrating. Now that I'm in the office daily, I need to update my wardrobe and this is the perfect place that won't break the bank! I found a few things and some at clearance prices. Woot! The store could have been better organized but in these types of stores, patience is key! The customer service was fair. I won't go out of my way to come here but I'm glad I stopped in. 3/19/21 A lot has changed since I lived in Rockville…read moreMaryland. I have seen new buildings get made in spots that were once parking spaces.  I will admit,  there were a lot of parking spaces. Barns&Nobles was the main attraction for this shopping area with Starbucks being an added bonus. People then traveled to other spots of this shopping center. Chick Fill-A was the newest building to be added before I moved to Virginia.  I never saw the grand opening, but I did try the chicken the next time I was in town. Last weekend I was back in Rockville area and saw the Barns&Nobles sign wasn't present.  I saw the Starbucks Coffee sign and started wondering if Barns&Nobles went out of business.  I did not notice that the business had moved to Congressional Plaza.  Why the move? Could be a number of reasons.   I remember when Montrose Crossing went by another name, but just like the name Berenstein Bears, it no longer exists.  I also don't remember the name it use to be called. My mom loved shopping at Marshlls for clothes and whatever else she could find. As a kid, I found shopping for clothing very boring.   Yes, most male kids and some females too found shopping for clothes boring.  Now I am left with memories from a time I would go shopping with my mom.  As the song goes, "you don't what you got till it's gone."  Yes, those were good times, even if I did not see it that way at the time.  Without the Barns&Nobles to headline the main attraction,  I think the decline for this shopping area will show up bigtime during the summertime of 2021. Time will tell.
