4 days before the Truckee Tahoe Airshow & Family Festival even with a deposit from a number of months ago the Cart Barn called to tell us last Friday that they had no carts available....WHAT????? How does this company stay in business when they do this to a customer that has gone by the rules, paid the deposit and a few days out we are told they don't have carts available? So now it's on us to scramble to try and find golf courses that will loan or rent us some carts as they are necessary for safety on the ramp. DO NOT do business with this company. Simple as that. Top shelf! I called last week on a Friday, right at closing time, Danielle answered the call and help me locate a very expensive ($3.67) part for the golf bag rack. She stayed well past 5, and coordinated its delivery to me on Monday with the service driver that would be in my area. Monday came and I had a few errands to run and called a couple more times than I needed too and spoke with Diane. She was super helpful and patience with my calls. Replacing the batteries on my trusty golf cart turned out to be more complicated than expected. I called Cart Barn and spoke with Mark, the owner. He showed up at my house on a Saturday morning (missing his tee time on a perfect day) and had my cart fixed within a few hours. It's not often you find such exceptional service. I went to the cart barn to look at a 4 passenger golf cart that was for sale. The battery was almost dead when I took it for a test drive. I decided that the asking price was too high, so I didn't buy it. I inquired if they rented golf carts. They said they did. I requested to rent a 4 passenger golf cart for use at the Reno Air Races. They said they could accommodate me with one. They emailed a contract which I signed and returned. On the day of delivery their driver shows up with a 2 and 6 passenger golf cart. I assumed they didn't have a 4 passenger cart and sent the 6 instead. Danielle accused me of stealing the 6 passenger cart and threatened to call the police if I didn't give it to the gentleman that had reserved it. They NEVER apologized for their error. Danielle, whom I assume is the manager, was very rude. She insisted I signed a contract for for a 2 passenger cart. When I got home I saw that in very small print it did indeed state 2 passenger cart. So the person I told I wanted a 4 passenger cart or the person writing the contract made an error. No apology from Cart Barn. Just a threat to call the police and report that I had stolen the cart. If you do business with this company, you better read the contract VERY carefully! Bottom line, I say this Comoany is rude and arrogant!!! To The owners if cart barn: Danielle needs some training in people skills! Threatening to call the cops is not a good way to resolve a mistake made by your employees. I never herd that she was sorry there was a mistake made in the reservation. Just threats!!! read more

Bought the cart from them 4 years ago. They did electrical work and installed a back seat. Since purchase I had to replace batteries two times and they still claim that there is nothing wrong with the cart. This third time they're not going to warranty a failed battery purchased two years prior on a cart that barely gets used. The first time we had the batteries replaced, their driver asked to use our restroom in our house. The driver was in the restroom for over 20 minutes and finally my wife had to leave. The driver finally gets out and asks our Nanny for a plunger. The toilet overflowed and we were left sanitizing our bathroom. It's a totally separate issue from the batteries, but makes me even more infuriated of their lack of service. This owner clearly doesn't care about customer service and we will not be going back. read more

We live in Virginia City, NV and our golf-cart is our main mode of transportation. We needed repairs and contacted Cart Barn. First off, they charged $300 for pick up & drop off. They charged us for consultation. The alleged professional technician had NEVER worked on a GAS FUELED EZ Go Cart before. The tech stated he fixed the turn signals, batteries etc. When our cart was returned - WHAT A DAMM nightmare. The back lights did not work, we finally had to purchase/install fuel pump, fuel filter and cleaned the carburator(sp?). They offered NO discounts for Vets, Seniors etc. When we complained, bringing the old parts and receipt for new parts, we were denied ANY reimbursement. SENIORS & VETS - DO NOT use their so called golf cart repair service. The alleged repair person refused to do anything - even an apology. read more

This place in one word is amazing! The people, the carts, the seemingly endless options of accessories, all amazing! The knowledge this group of guys has is pretty unbelievable, and they are great at making sure they have answered all your questions. I really love the fact that they are in constant contact with all the local courses so that they can stay up to date on the requirements for personal carts. It is great that they are both a Club Car and EZGO dealer, it gave me several different options that the other place(s) in Reno could not offer. Their location is great, right off 395 or McCarran depending on where you are coming from and their shop and showroom are both awesome! It was a huge relief to know I didn't have to drive 20-30 minutes out of town to the other place(s), that were a bit, um, scary to put it nicely. I can't wait to get my first custom-to-me cart dropped off and make my neighbors envious. From what my friends have told me (obviously, I haven't needed it yet) these guys have the best repair and service team in the area so I know that I will always be in good hands for the life of my cart, and even passed that when it is time to get a new one :-) If you need a cart, or have a cart and need accessories or repairs come see these guys!
