I am very upset as I am getting water in our shed and water damage on wood and when I put in a warranty service they say the warranty is voided because I did not caulk the door. Yes reading the contract it says the building must be caulked and painted within 60 days of build date. I do not know much about caulking and thought that would be the installers job, especially around the windows! I got window leaks and they came out and did some repairs but I still had to caulk the windows which I did, yet they did not mention caulking anything else, even the owner came out which was nice and agreed to fix some things and added a wider ridge vent and put a new ramp for us, which I am thankful for, even though I had not caulked. He did not mention caulking the whole building. Also the metal roofs they build do not overhang! This causes dirty water to run down the wood making the paint job- if you painted- dirty. This business needs to improve by providing the caulking service and overhanging all roofs. No one showed me where to caulk besides telling me it was my job to caulk the windows. So now I have no warranty due to them putting in the contract that it has to be caulked or void warranty, yet they did not tell me that in person or point it out or show it. Also the hook on the doors to keep it open are rusting already. I spend all this money on a shed and they still want me to caulk and paint, unacceptable! They don't even install gutters, which would be a solution for not overhanging the roofs. Our neighbors shed is the same size and style and his metal roof overhangs like it should, that company knows what they are doing.

After sales process and signed contracts everything seemed unprofessional and disorganized. I…read moredon't see how this is a professional business focused on sheds. The sales process was easy and Joe was very nice and understanding. We scoped out the project in April and let him know that we wanted to get everything on the property in order and would reach back out once we were ready to order. He kept us informed of promotions, but was not overly pushy about ordering right now or contacting us often like other sales companies tend to be. We didn't have any issues with this process. However we did originally overlook the high pricing for the anchoring package ($299) as we thought it was a much more in-depth process with higher end items than it turned out to be (also later they would almost forget to even install them despite it being on the contract). Also, it seems that they changed contracts at some point recently as I paid for a leveling package but later found that the contract we were given the leveling blocks were included for free (they would later indicate we were given an old contract to sign). As far as everything post signed contracts was anything but professional. There was no line of sight to the progress of the shed in building and then after being told it was being worked on when I followed up with them directly the next day all of a sudden it was done and they wanted to deliver less than 24 hours later. I compromised by being ready within 36 hours of the shed supposedly being done just to find out that the appointment had to be cancelled because the paint wasn't finished. Then cancelled the next business day because it still wasn't painted even though I was assured that day would work. And then cancelled again for staff conflict and then delivered later than promised on the fourth scheduled date. Upon delivery of the shed from a company that specializes in sheds we were shocked to find that there was only one worker with a small forklift suitable for moving pallets in a warehouse but not capable of lifting a 120 sq ft shed. Thus it dragged the shed down the road leaving wood markings the whole way and was incapable of placing the shed in the center of a gravel pad that was only one foot wider on all sides then the shed. In the process of delivery with inappropriate tools multiple spots on all sides of the shed were damaged. Also after all of that during the delivery the person was ready to receive payment on the contract he had in his hands without even finishing what was paid for. I had to call out that the anchors were never paced ($299 anchor package). I was back and forth between working and checking on his progress and had originally planned to had the check to my boyfriend without going outside to check the finished project. We decided to go with a professional shed company to ensure that we had a great product instead of the big box store sheds. I expected a more professional experience with the skills and specialization that a company that focuses on sheds should provide and I didn't experience that at all. At no point did I feel as if the customer was a priority in this transaction and I felt that as the customer I had to reach out at every turn to get information and to be told they couldn't follow through on their commitments and that I as the customer made all of the accommodations in this transaction which seems backwards in a business transaction. This was an extremely large purchase for us. We took the time and attention to ensure that our property was in perfect shape, leveled, gravel base, prior to signing the order knowing that we didn't want to be the hold up on delivery or make issues for your company by being unprepared. We expected the same level of attention to detail and commitment to us that we didn't experience. We have had several contacts with the company from the day of delivery and several weeks after hoping to find a resolution, but the company still has not followed through on any of their attempts to rectify the situation. We are extremely disappointed and feel that we have not received the level of quality we paid for and it's disheartening given this is such a large purchase for us.

Not very Patriotic Storage…read more I Purchased a building from a nice lady at patriot storage in Forest City. I took her some home grown tomatoes. I needed another building because I just sold my Grandmother's house and there is items I needed to store. My father had passed away from Dementia and I moved in with him to care for him for several years and I have to sell it as well which is another batch of stuff to store. I myself am a disabled 65 year old man. I paid around $9,200.00 with a cashier's check from my bank for a 12 x 28 and I was told that there were a couple deliveries in front of me but that their scheduling person would call me to set up a time later that day or early in the morning but nobody called me. So I waited several days and no call so I called the lady in Forest City and she told me they had a driver quit but she promised me their scheduler would call me in the morning. He never called so late in the day I called back and told her I just wanted to cancel and get my money back because i needed a building soon. She told me that she has already sent my check to the Gastonia office and she would call to see about getting my money back. Later she calls me back and tells me it will be next Thursday (And this is Friday) before they could get my check because it was in a bag waiting to go to the bank and I said if they have it he can give me the check and I will give him the paperwork and I am gonna drive over to Gastonia to get it and she said I am just going to give you the scheduler's number. So I called the guy up and he was mad because he just had another driver quit. I told him why I needed my money back and he says it would take a week to get my money back when I was just told it was in a bag to be deposited which meant he had it but just wanted to keep it until the end of the following week! Anyway I told him that was not going to work! I had no idea who this guy is other than the scheduler. I had a nice conversation at first with the guy and he told me he was down to one driver and he might quit because of the heat and that he was trying to find other drivers but nobody wanted to work. Anyway he was pissed and stressed and he was trying to keep me waiting until the very last day he was contractually obligated to deliver it. Some of these storage building people will charge you like 3 percent of the purchase price if you want a refund! So I am being jerked around and I am pissed. This review will be finished tomorrow and you will learn what you end up paying if you do a rent to own with these seller and what a jerk this guy is! Right now I have a sick dog to deal with!

In Sales, Gertrude was helpful with the choices to be made and gave extra effort to be sure we got what we wanted in a shed. She was patient and did not pressure us at all.
