First, the cost: The insurance company estimate was crazy low, and I expected to somehow get hit with a bill for overages alongside my super high deductible. Jody and the team revised the estimate to make sure every single thing was it in line and processed it though Geico with absolutely no push back. They even saved me money. Timing: a majority of my work was PDR and glass so while they had a ton of work going on from the several hail storms this summer, they fit me in within the next week. AND they met me to pick up the car, AND they stayed at the shop until 10 pm on a Saturday to wait for me when I came back late from the airport. I've used around 5 bodyshops in the past (welcome to hail season in South Dakota). I know that these guys will be the only shop I use from now on! The worst experience I've ever had with a body shop. We hit a deer while in South Dakota, on Nov…read more 2nd and since I'm from Iowa I relied on my insurance company to find a place to fix my van. They called on December 1st telling my it was out of paint and should be done on the Friday 2nd or Monday the 5th at the latest. I had someone drive me 10 hours to pick it up and was advised it wasn't done but should be the 6th. The morning of the 6th they called, and it still wasn't done, they were waiting for a couple parts, but the van was drivable. I could take the van and they would mail the parts to me. It's a part for the hood latch and the front Chrysler emblem. The check engine light is on, according to them because the parts are not on the van. The remote start doesn't work, and I don't know if anything else is wrong because I'm still waiting on my parts. Today is the 19th of December and I found out my parts are still sitting at their shop in South Dakota. I don't know why it takes 2 weeks or more to mail out parts but I'm very frustrated. I guess they don't care as I'm 10 hours away. Not a Company I would go to again.
