The below email to all managers of the hotel was never acknowledged that they even got it.
The room and hotel part of the Inn was great, friendly and clean. The casino was terrible. I really do hope your making lots of money in the casino with the way it is and that maybe i'm just not a player anymore. But if your not, maybe you should take a look at your floor and see if you see what I see.
1. air quality...smokey and stale...sure smoke is to be expected, in fact i love second hand smoke in a casino, is it really a casino without it. But this was just bad air, noticed this right off the bat. Thick and stale, almost like a bad bathroom.
2. no excitement....the first judge of a casino is the excitement factor...if it is quiet and sullen...dont gamble there....two days at your casino and the excitement was never there..not in your customers and not in your pit boss and not in your dealers..
3. friendly dealers....wow, what happened...not only did the pit boss never look up from his podium, the dealers were as stale as the air. They all look old , ridden hard and put away wet, along with very unfriendly....no smiles anywhere for 2 days...
4. lack of open tables....now I dont mind betting $10, $25 or $100 dollar chips, but who told you that starting all tables at $10 was a good thing, and then only having 2-3 open....I hope your graph shows that this works for you, but I saw many people just mulling around, waiting for a table to open and also heard them talking about not wanting to sit at a table starting at $10. Is there a problem starting at $5 that I dont know about? Seems to me that making some money is better than no money. And when I use to play a lot, it didnt matter the denomination that we started at, the whole table seemed to always move their bets up to bigger money. So why not, bring people to the tables with a lower start price. But your the expert, I was just the person observing the floor for 2 days.
5. hows your slot action?...are you making money?...I heard and saw NO ONE having fun....hence $20 in and leave....my wife and I played for a while and hooted and hollered and felt like people were staring, like why are they having fun?....We couldnt even figure out the machines with 20 lines running, yeah were old, or have the new machines taken the fun out of actually knowing what your rooting for? Sure i get the penny machine idea, gotta bet full amount which is actually 90cents a pull, great marketing concept because people dont realize that they should actually play a dollar machine in that case with a better pay out, so they play the penny machine thinking its just pennies....silly people.....but no one was having fun.....just a sad casino floor....and this was friday and saturday nights, going till 2 and then 4 in the morning....started at 9pm.....
6. did you get my $.....I brought $1000 to play with, I only gambled $120 worth...and i mean thats all that ever went into a machine or on the table...I spent my time watching, feeling talking and drinking...I was with a wedding party, so yeah I got pretty hammered, and yet not stupid enough to play my money in a losing situation, why? because the casino not once, as in never gave me a feel or even asked me to have fun and gamble....yes, a casino will ask you to gamle...it is in the look, the air, the feel....if there is no electricity, dont sit down...
7. bottom feeder.....your casino to me now has a bottom feeder feel....why did you choose to go this way...did you have a consultant tell you this is the trend?....fire that guy.......if you dont know what i mean by bottom feeder , go to your floor right now and look at your patrons, your staff and feel the air....hey here is a better analogy.....you have zombies....
8. am i wrong......probably....I dont run the place...i dont see the figures and compare them to last year or the last 10 years...i dont see the graphs for each section of the casino....and if you are not compiling data for all sections, then what is going on? So, if everything is great and the casino is pulling in the cash, well frankly, good job, im a freak and im never coming back, because I dont fit your scene anymore...
9. why have I not gotten a customer survey email from the hotel?.......hmmm, you have my email address, I stayed 2 nights in the master king room, had my bill emailed to me, so I know you have my email address. And yet the easiest way to find out how your doing and get good suggestions is not being used. Or, I was overlooked becasue I booked through a third party site because the online system for the inn did not give me the best room at the best price. (let the hotel manager know this)(im assuming you have to pay the third party site for booking my room, aka you lose again) The third party site sent me a survey, and the hotel got great reviews, you know what I said about the casino....check out booking.com.... read more
