Wonderful dining experience atmosphere was terrific and an engaging waiter who was both funny and entertaining. As for the food the stuffed chicken breast melts in your mouth and the atipasta cheese and meat platter was excellent. read more

Dinner was a hit--5 for 5. Absolutely delicious dinners for each of the 5 of us, each a different dish. The brussels sprouts were tender and tasty, the pork chops plump and moist, the steelhead succulent and perfectly done. Great service and reasonable prices. We will certainly be back! read more

This place is really great. All 4 entrees our table ordered were excellent. The salmon, meatloaf, pasta with meat sauce, and parmasan chicken were all very well thought out and tasted great. And the owners are lovely! Try the veggie noodle option on the pasta! read more

Great ambience. Delicious food. Fairly priced. I ordered a salad with steak and it was great. My friend ordered the grilled cheese, which she enjoyed a lot. The sweet potato bisque soup was amazing! read more

The BEST in Grants Pass!! The food was outstanding. Pasta was sublime; wine selection excellent and the desserts looked fabulous but I didn't order as I was too full. read more

The tables were full except for the bar. We both had the grilled cheese and tomato bisque soup. It seemed to take a long time but the food was worth it. Good to see Keith the waiter. We also noticed the appetizer of spinach/artichoke dip and bread appeared to be enough for two and a meal for two. read more

This place was bustling for a Tuesday night dinner, and the service was friendly and prompt. Comfortable atmosphere, not too noisy. Wine selection is always great. Friends had the steelhead and I chose the pasta-they won best choice but no complaints. Coffee after dinner was excellent! Glad to see this relative newcomer to the GP food scene is hanging in there! read more

This was our first time eating at Carson's, so didn't quite know what to expect. Wow! Loved everything ... the healthy menu choices, the service, the atmosphere, etc etc. What's not to like? We'll definitely be back. The meatloaf was outta this world, so was the vegetarian lasagna, so was the peanut butter pie. read more

What a great surprise to find such a wonderful, fresh and delicious restaurant while we are traveling. Everything was wonderful from the appetizers, salads, main courses and desserts. The service, ambiance and personal touch of style was so warm and inviting. Our only complaint was that they are closed Sundays and we could not go back and enjoy again the next night, but its that good that makes you want to enjoy again very soon. read more

As a foodie from So Cal, this food was extraordinary. Some of the best i have eaten. And for the price...awesome, awesome, awesome! We had the Spice-charred salmon in a serrano cilantro sauce, meatloaf sliders with a garlic mashed potato, chocolate pound cake with balsamic strawberries, and peanut butter pretzel-saltine pie. Enough said!!!! Oh and the spinach bacon salad was perfect. read more

I live here now but I am from Alberta, Canada, the land of the best beef in the world. I had a steak at Carson's tonight that was delicious! Exquisite. Attentive, personal service, beautiful, delicious food and a whimsical atmosphere. Fresh flowers in the bathrooms even! I love this place! I wish it was open late so I could get some midnight snacks:) read more

Loved the whole experience! The decor was inviting and beautiful. My group shared two appetizers, the Mac and cheese and the spinach artichoke dip, both delish. Then we each ordered an entree. We were all very happy. My boyfriend had the salmon and it was amazing. I had the spaghetti squash and must say best I've had! Also really thankful the attention Carson and Jollie put into the ingredients. Offering organic, local, when in season and gluten free options. Highly recommend this place and can't wait to go again. read more

We really enjoyed Carson's Bistro. It was first Friday and the wait staff seemed to be under extra pressure but did a very good job of getting us what we needed and checking on us. The grilled cheese and tomato soup was very yummy. The soup had a wonderful fresh taste and the cheeses in the sandwich melted well together. My husband loved his pot pie. We even took a piece of peanut butter pie to go because it looked so good. It was delicious! We will definitely go back when we are passing through Grants pass and would recommend it highly read more

First time here and love the place. My wife had seard steelhead fillet and i had yellowfin Ahi tuna. Both delicious. The atmosphere was very nice, quiet and i will come back many times. It is about quality and not like all Grants Pass restaurants serving only quantity to big fat bellies read more

Great bistro! Menu has lots of variety, service is great. Loved the pesto linguini! Want to go back and try more.

We went here for the first time tonight and had a great time! They have done a great job redecorating - the food was delicious - the wine was very good - and our waitress was super nice. They made a mistake on our order but promptly changed it. They gave us the mistake order to take home in a box and did not charge us. They came back at the end of the meal with a free dessert. We will be going back. read more

Really stellar food. Super friendly! Highly recommended! Steelhead and mustard pork chop both excellent. Good wine and beer list. Best place we found for gourmet food in Grant's Pass. read more

So much potential. Food needs more 'pop'. Charming server was not very good. Had to ask for water, utensils, wait for wine and to take order. Lot's to learn. Menu is mostly middle America comfort food. [cheese sandwich, meatloaf and mac and cheese] Would love the chef to DO something remarkable. Nice place to be and the wine list, small but very carefully chosen. read more

Well we finally made our way to Carson Bistro Friday night. They were 3/4 full so no wait to be seated. It took 10 mins to place drink orders, another 10 mins to place our dinner order. Previous reviews mentioned the great Meatloaf as well as the StealHead Salmon, that made our decisions very easy. We then waited over an hour for our meal. We were almost done with our meal before the waitress checked to see if everything was ok. The salmon was cooked nicely & the meatloaf tasted fine but neither meals was worth the wait of over an hour. People arriving over 40 mins after us received their meals within 10 mins of our meal. They gave us excuses not apologies. My husband had intestinal problems the next morning which is very unusual for him. Needlessly we will not be going back. read more
