Great shop; customer service is top-notch. The manager, Mike, was more than helpful and got me in and out.

I want to give a big shout out to John. My tire light came on in my car and I tried myself to fill them, at the gas station, well low and behold I actually let air out of them, I have had no idea how difficult this was for me. I phoned Carson City Tire Pros, and they kindly said, come in and we will put air in your tires for you. When I arrived, I met John and he graciously put air in all four tires. That was so kind of him to fill my tires. He was also very nice and respectful. When I need new tires, I will definetly come here and also will leventually need my back brakes done soon and I will come here to have those fixed as well. We need more people in this world, like John Thanks John! You rock. read more

I bought 4 new tires from here in August 2022 for my vehicle. The brand name of the tires I had never heard of before, but trusted what Larry told me about the tires. All in all I drive very little and between August 2022 and Sept. 2024 I had put 20K miles on my car. 2 of my tires were almost bald!!! When I had asked about warranty of the tires they said I had not come in for the proper tire rotation. I only had them rotated 2 in 2 years. (My fault for not realizing tires need rotation every 5K miles) Well, long story short, I had to replace my tires. There was not an offer of discount, since the tires were only 2 years and only had 20K miles on them. I did not replace my tires here, nor will I go back. Customer service is becoming a thing of the past. read more

Sadly, I can't give a 5 star review to Carson City Tire Pros. And this would have been a full 5 star experience if I was only dealing with Michael. Everything did go great on my visit until I saw on the receipt well later on when when filing taxes that the older guy at the counter snuck the road hazard warranty in on my set of tires without even asking me about it. I did not want that warranty and if I knew he was adding it in I would have declined it. He never even said a word about it. Very bad practice there. read more

We went in without an appointment for a smog check and registration. We were greeted and told there was one person in front of us. Once it was our turn, we waited in the comfortable lobby while the work was performed. In less than an hour from arriving, the smog was complete, registration was done and thanked for our business. They even honored military discount. read more

This company rates a five in our opinion. We were driving home when we had a tire issue. Wanting to be safe we chose Carson City Tire Pros. Couldn't have chosen a better place! He gave our car a safety check on all of our tires! Fixed the problem and sent us on our way. read more

I called this place to check if they have the tires I need, which they did have a lot of option not just one. Mike the one who to go and talk to,he was amazing on the phone and when the car was dropped off. This is the best customer service I get from a tire shop. It took them the exact time they told us it will be ready. Appreciate all the hard work. Will definitely come back for more tires. read more

My husband and I have brought our car many times to service at this shop. They are always professional and their work exemplary. Mike, the man up front, is so much fun to talk with and always helpful. Kris is very willing to help out no matter what the problem. Every time I have shown up for an issue, without an appointment, they always accommodate me! Today, I had an issue with my gas cover. They promptly fixed it. I would absolutely recommend this place. read more

They helped me out in a pinch in such a big way. From the moment I arrived, I knew my flat would be handled. Was on a road trip with a group of friends. Needed a flat fixed on a 20" rim. Shop up the street stayed I would be lucky to have that fixed around here. So glad he was wrong. The tire pros had me back on the road in a very timely manner. Couldn't be more grateful or happy with there service. Thanks Tire Pros! read more

Stay far away from this incompetent shop. If you care anything at all about your vehicle, stay away. This place did nearly $1000 in damage to my new car while doing $80 worth of service out of absolute incompetence and stupidity. Front desk staff are just as stupid which explains the stupidity in the back shop. Stay away from here. Go ANYWHERE else. You've been warned. read more

This place used to be big o. well I had an issue and the management responded well. We are all going through something so it pays to use kindness in stressful situations not passive aggressive behavior read more

Jeremy and his coworkers went above and beyond for my Jeep. I brought it in because it was making a noise on acceleration and Tires Plus said it was the cv axle and said they couldn't get the part because it was dealer only and on back order for 6 weeks. I called around and Tires Pro said they could have the part the next day. Once they got my jeep on the lift, the mechanic confirmed the cv axle was fine and it was likely the power transfer unit. The mechanic had to research jeep forums to find that out and recommended I take it to the dealer since it is a more technical repair. Tires Pro didn't charge me anything for all that. They were so nice and thorough, I would absolutely go back for additional services when I need them. read more

Great value, great service and friendly people. Thank you so much for taking care of of my husband

Got quoted a little shy of $900.00 to replace two lower ball joints and do an alignment. The alignment was only 110 so where does the other $790.00 come from? I called another shop and got quoted $160.00 for both lower ball joints.. that's a pretty big difference. This place seems like they just want to bend you over with no dinner no cookies no nothin. read more

I had these guys mount 2 tires and balance all 4. I had a 2 pm Apointment but it still took 2 hours. When I got home I noticed they mounted one tire wrong way out on the rim so I hade to drive back 15 mins one way, then on the way home I noticed the tire was low on air. So 3 hours plus job not done right after 2 tries, I will not be back here again ever. read more

I absolutely love this place, great guys & service every time!

I was in need of tires for my pickup and had stopped into a local competitor that offers tires with full tire protection and rotations. I received the estimate for the tires and was shocked at the prices offered. I took my quote and went just up the street to Tire Pros. Tire Pros was able to provide me with Name Brand tires and a full tire protection plan, with rotations included for over $300.00 less then the other big store. Service was fantastic and my new tires are PERFECT!! Thanks to Bill and all the staff. I have a family with 6 drivers and we will be headed your way with all our vehicles!!! read more

Had a great referral from a friend for tire pro here in Carson City. Had bought a set of tires off Craigslist and went in to have them installed. A bit of a rocky start when I was quoted $88 on the phone and it turned into $100 when I showed up. Owner said he was okay giving me that price....would think it would be consistent pricing (1st red flag.....being taken advantage of) Decided to go ahead and picked up car a few hours later. Driving the car home it just didn't feel right. I checked air pressure with my gauge at home and all 4 tires were 3-5# over or under inflated according to manufacturers recommendation.....1st safety issue red flag. Second I noticed 2 of the 4 tires were mounted inside out on the rims....(see pictures attached. In speaking to Michelin, I learned the tires have asymmetric tread and should be mounted with the side marked outside to the outside because the slant to the thread grooves is to allow for water and slushy snow dispersion to the outside of the vehicle. Michelin customer support informed me I could in fact be driving a ticking time bomb if I didn't get them mounted correctly at a reputable dealer in their network within the next 24hrs. In case of adverse weather.....in my case I have a 9:00 AM appointment with Discount Tire! In combining their hiked price quote and 2 dangerous mishaps (tire pressure and mis mounts) I have to rate at a 2 since their in no confidence in their work quality, safety or oversight. Be warned that this is not the shop to have you or your family's vehicle safety riding on. read more

Needed a battery. $20 over MSRP plus $20 to install; waited for over an hour to get it installed and they got grease on the headliner. Tried to help a local biz during the shutdown but no good deed goes unpunished. read more

Believe it or not, their price matched Costco! My 2003 Dodge truck had inexplicably burned through tires, typically only getting 30,000 miles per set. Seeing my frustration, the guys at Costco recommended a Michelin tire with a 70,000 mile warranty. They were spendy, so I decided to shop around, just to be safe. Surprisingly, Tire Pros had the same tires at the same price. Wanting to support locally-owned businesses, I naturally chose Tire Pros and have since purchased three other sets of tires for other vehicles (those Michelins are holding up great). As a bonus, it is SO much easier to get rotations done at Tire Pros, compared to Costco. I highly recommend Larry, Bill and the Tire Pros crew. read more

Had a flat on my rental, called around and they sounded the best. Got me in and out quickly, friendly staff.

This is the only place that I have trusted bringing my cars to. All the workers here are absolutely wonderful. It really is hard to find a car repair shop that doesn't want to screw you over. Whenever I come here I tell them what I want, and I get just that. They don't try yet to upsell you into getting a bunch of repairs that you need unless really necessary. read more

I took my truck for an alignment and was told I had bad ball joints on both sides and that they couldn't do an alignment without replacing at least one of the ball joints. I asked them to show me the play in the ball joints, but they had already taken my truck off the rack and pulled it out of the garage. I declined the repairs and had two other mechanics check it, and neither of them found anything wrong with the ball joints. The shop that I eventually used for the alignment said they were able to get it in perfect alignment, and I could tell a big difference when I get it back. That was my first and last visit to this shop! read more

DO NOT COME HERE. I'm a full time army technician and the only reason I brought my car here is because I don't have an alignment machine at my shop. I came in to get a simple wheel alignment to correct the slight left pull my car has and it could not even be fixed by these guys, or "pros" as they call themselves. I spent 1.5 hours in their waiting room waiting for it to be fixed and witnessed two other customers come in complaining that these guys had messed with their cars and the job they did was not done correctly/effectively. I lost $110 today to these dishonest, inexperienced, and unprofessional mechanics who have no idea what they are doing. The tech that charged me recommended I "drive my right wheel into a curb to correct the small spacing it has passed the left wheel," which causes the slight left pull. I'm utterly disappointed they would recommend such a barbaric fix for my cars minor issue to anyone. I would NOT recommend anyone come here for any of their services. read more

I bought new snow tires a month ago with them and was so nervous about going to a new shop, their service was spectacular and they even found me a better tire for the same price AND a mail in rebate than the ones I wanted. I have felt safe commenting from Carson to Incline every day even in the worst weather. Then my right blinker went out and I bought my bulb from an auto parts store brought it to them and they replaced it for me free of charge, thanks JR! I can't recommend them more. They take care of their customers. You guys rock. read more

Mechanics are awesome but customer service. The guy at the counter started off by telling me to go to a different auto mechanic. I had to talk him into taking my car. Then he asked took my keys and walked away without a word said. Started helping other customers and I waited. After 15 minutes asked what was happening with my car he told me he was busy. Then I said I just want to know since he never told me he finally told me after about 20 minutes that they would send someone to work on it. I'll never go back. Customer service is key in any business and this place has none. read more

My girlfriend has been coming here for the past couple of years and I finally got to experience why this afternoon. It was Magic Mike and his crew! They know a thing or two about world class customer service and top notch professionalism. I decided to drop in after work, I make the commute from Carson City to Verdi M-F, and noticed my steering wheel column was getting a bit shaky at high speeds, without hesitation Magic Mike made the time to get me in and balanced despite the later hour in the day, he genuinely cared and said we need to nip it before it nips us, and in the process gave me the deal of a lifetime. I would give them 10 stars if I could. the team was truest accommodating despite my unique situation. A true class act that will keep earning my business until my wheels fall off, (which is NEVER because Tire Pro's is Badass & would never allow that happen under their watch) so I hope y'all don't get sick of me, we're in this forever! read more

I cannot stress enough how amazing my experience was here. Michael and the other staff were delightful and went completely above and beyond expectations. I sought out services in a snow storm. The price was excellent and I didn't even realize the extent of their service until I got home, because they didn't even mention the extra service to my car at pick up. I am extremely grateful. They are classy, honest, and respectable. read more

Excellent service and a very knowledable staff. They've been my goto shop since 2010. I've used them for tires, rims, brakes, alignments, and struts. They've always done good work at a fair price and never tried to pressure me in to anything I didn' t need. Even though they're always busy, they get my vehicles serviced in a timely manner. read more

Most terrible treatment I have ever received. Ran my card without authorization. Charged me for a mount and balance on my card before it ever happened. THEN refused to refund ANYTHING!! Larry, the "manager" called me a liar and said my story was "bull". An unidentifed woman (evidently an employee of some kind, although she was too cowardly to identify herself) tried to intervene in the conversation, when I asked why she said "well, I don't want you to feel bullied because you're a woman". REALLY??? Your coworker is"bullying" a woman and your intervention is well intentioned??? Laughable. This place is a straight up joke. I caution EVERYONE!!!!! Guess I can't post ZERO stars... so, sadly, they get one just so I can get the word out. read more

Dropped off my truck at 8:30am for new tires, balance, and an alignment. I called around noon asking for an update, they said its next in line for the alignment rack, call again around 2, they said it still hasnt been done. Finally got a call at 3:30pm saying they could not complete the alignment due to bad ball joints. I had just recently replaced the ball joints so all they were trying to do was upsell. It took 7 hours for them just to mount and "balance" my tires, and not even align it. When driving home, my whole truck was shaking, they didnt even balance them correctly. Then to put the cherry on top, most of my tires looked low. I checked all pressures, left front was at 40psi, right front 45psi, right rear 60psi, and left rear at 90psi. Pressures are suppose to be 60psi front and 80psi rear. They cant even set tire pressures correctly. I do not recommend this place whatsoever. Take your business elsewhere and save yourself a headache. read more

They are seriously the nicest people! Every time Ucome in with a flat tire, I am fully prepared to buy a new tire. 9/10 times they will tell me, "Lets take a look and we will tell you what we find" I almost NEVER need a brand new tire, right then. I had a screw in one tire, took it to another automotive place, obviously they encouraged me to buy a new tire. I wanted to get my tire from Carson City Tire Pros and once it was all said and done I didn't have to buy a new one. Rode on that tire until i got all new tires all together. They are great, nice to know that they won't nickle and dime you. They do more than just tires too :) read more

DO NOT USE THIS STORE FOR TIRES OR ANYTHING ELSE. This has been my "go to" store for tires for 13 years. Recently, it changed ownership and the old owner, who ran a well-run, honest shop is no longer there. The new owner doesn't appear to know anything about running a good business. They ordered the wrong tires for my car causing me to spend six hours over two days to get my tires replaced. The alignment they performed is terrible, the car wanders when driving. I went there not knowing that the old owner has sold. I will not be using this shop again. The reason I gave it one star is there is no way to give it NO STARS! read more
