One of the babies who is healthy and loved as she waits for her indoor only forever home.

Amazing organization that helps cats in need - rescues them, makes sure they get all the medical attention and love they need and then finds them forever homes. Wonderful people and definitely an organization I will support forever.

Example of one their cats sitting in it's litter box.

The questionnaire is ridiculous. I've been a cat owner my entire life and all of my cats have lived long and full lives. I was clearly rejected by whoever owns/runs this company. When volunteer called to follow up on some of the questions, his response to my answers sounded like he didn't believe me. Yes, there will always be someone with the cat (doesn't matter that they leave the cats in cages overnight in PetSmart while sitting in their litter boxes ).

Thanks for introducing us to Mom! Now she is a very happy and healthy cat

Thank you Carson Cats for introducing us to the love of our life! Carson Cats is a great rescue and Cyndi is incredibly caring and supportive. I've never fostered or adopted from a rescue that is more devoted or genuinely caring. I highly recommend supporting Carson Cats through volunteering or adopting. My boyfriend and I fostered through Carson Cats. We got a pregnant foster cat who was found as a stray. On the first night we had her she was on my lap and starting going into labor. For the next few hours we helped her deliver her kittens. We referred to her as 'mom' or 'the mom cat' to avoid getting too attached. Unfortunately she had a bad upper respiratory infection when she was rescued and that was passed to her kittens. For the next few weeks Cyndi from Carson Cats was extremely supportive and helped us care for the kittens and their mom with frequent vet visits and bottle feeding. She was very responsive and helpful if we needed anything. The mom cat ended up having to stay at the kitty ICU. One day we brought the nest of kittens in for a check-up at the vet. They told us they were going to bring the mom back in the room but she would no longer remember her kittens because too many days had passed. They brought her in the room and she immediately jumped into the nest and started purring and grooming her babies. Unfortunately the babies were too sick and didn't make it, but Mom was able to make a full recovery. Calling her Mom Cat did not help us get any less attached but it did end up sticking, so now we have had Mom for over 3 years. Though our initial experience with her was tragic, Carson Cat's amazing support ended up saving Mom's life and for that we are very grateful. She is the friendliest, happiest and most loving cat I have ever known. We love her so much, thanks Carson Cats!

After just 5 days they transferred it to a Rescue. The process was so secretive that Animal Control would not even tell me the name of the rescue service. After some serious digging I found out the cat had been transferred to Rover Rescue. They're almost 900 miles away even though we have several rescues within 50 miles. I immediately called Rover Rescue and found out they did have the cat and that it will be going to an adoption event this weekend. They REFUSED to tell me where the event was being held. I wasn't trying to get preferential treatment. I just wanted to have an equal opportunity to re-adopt this cat that has lived with me for the last year and a half and they refused to tell me where it was. Clearly they are not interested in getting animals back with loving families. I really hope it ends up with a good family but it was a stray I took off the streets. It had settled into our family very well. Now they are going to make the cat go through that again. It's also very concerning to me about how secretive the process is, even the name of the organization. Don't know anything about them except today's very inadequate interaction but that level of secrecy is not a good sign.

I can't tell you how much I hoped the rescue wouldn't pick her up and she'd be all mine. But Rover Rescue did come to her rescue. I called them minutes after finding out she had left the shelter. I had to leave a message and I figured I'd get the ball rolling and fill out the application. Kathy returned my call promptly we spoke about the dog. And several days later I picked up my girl from the Vet. Kathy was very helpful and thoughtful with her advice. Foxy came with a leash and a collar and we were given a bag of food to get us started. I love this organization, they do amazing work rescuing IMO the most adorable pooches. I want another one but I don't think Ms. Foxy is ready for a buddy quite yet. IMO the rescue fee is comparable and totally fair. You get a itemized list of all the fees they pay while the dog in their care. You don't have an obligation to pay those fees but it really did show me how much money it does take to save these animals.

With the same thinking, it would not be fair to have a dog here ......unless of course it lived indoors with us. We were blindsided when our son brought Buffy two years ago. He just showed up, and like "Here!" She followed him everywhere from one end of the house to the other and back and forth. When he left she cried and whimpered. I laid down on the floor with her and she looked at me with soulful brown eyes, pleading, "Please help me!" I cried and hugged her and told her, "I love you!" That was it! She was mine. It took some adjusting to my new mommy role added on top of the other things I do everyday. When it became apparent I was keeping her, I contacted GTTDR and spoke with Marcy. She explained their dogs are never to be taken out of state and that she wanted to send someone to Las Vegas to do a home inspection. Laurie came for the visit and saw how happy Buffy was. I allowed her to take photos and send it to Marcy. Laurie seemed pleased that Buffy had a good home, but was quite prepared to take her back to California if requirements weren't met. Marcy said, "So I hear your home is fabulous......" I was impressed that GTTDR went to such lengths. Thanks to Heather also for rescuing Buffy from a kill shelter. Two years later, we love Buffy more than you can imagine. She is family. She is three now. Though she is my primary responsibility for care, etc. she loves her dad and her grandma who lives with us. She gets three walks a day at three different parks in the area. She has tons of doggy and people friends and she loves to run and chase birds, rabbits and chipmunks. She is the fastest runner at any of the parks. Her vet says she's athletic, referring to her muscle tone. In the beginning she couldn't walk on a leash without pulling. She barked at everyone and every dog even if it were two blocks away. Now, she walks off-leash, listens to commands, understands everything I say, and has helped other dogs come out of their shell. She wants to be friends with all dogs with the exception of one. She looks to me to see if I give the okay to say 'hello' and she wags her tail and goes to the other dog/s. She is the sweetest soul you will ever meet. Everyone loves Buffy. She is good when visitors come and loves attention they give. She has such confidence and isn't shy about gentle pawing to get more rubs. On our walk this morning, she turned back to look at me with such a loving look, my friend asked, "What was that look?" I said, "She loves me!" He said, "That's what it looked like!" I'm happy she's ours. She deserves a good home and all the love she gets. She is secure and happy. Don't buy. Rescue!

Even when I've been traveling for work in other countries--literally on the other side of the world--I have never worried once. I always know Summit is safe, loved, and having the very best time. And he does have the best time--he still runs in with the same excitement as he did on day one. (I cried that first day when he was just a pup and it was my first time leaving him, but Cami hugged me and told me he was going to be just fine and most happy there - and those words are still true to this day!) It's truly his home away from home. Our Teddy that we ended up adopting came in with a broken leg and the rescue paid for all of his vet bills and even after care at a local pet rehab clinic. I recently went through the foster and adoption process with another dog and Jen held my hand the whole time. She has many local resources, and helps with behavioral training as needed. Here is the thing for potential adopters: she has a team of volunteers but she is literally one woman who matches the dogs with their forever homes. She is VERY protective of her dogs and will take dogs back into the rescue if need be. I can see that she tries to keep them local to the South Bay, and if she doesn't respond to you that probably means you aren't the right fit. Many Instagram rescues do this because they don't have the staff or resources to respond to every application all of the time. They need to focus on the rescue dogs. She'll reach out to you if they think it's the right fit. Best wishes, and let's ALL take care of these street and shelter dogs.

Which means there are groups of dogs that the shelter believes is not adoptable which often get euthanized and aren't even counted. So I will take back my review but I give 4 stars because we did email back and forth and was told to come out and meet the dog but was barely given the time of day. I get she's busy but wish there was a bit more transparency. That is all. Other than that, l do see how much care she put into this foundation and the dogs. So thank you for that.

Food was provided and one of the responsibility is dropping them off at the adoption fairs. As you can assume, I went back to the adoption fairs only to start the adoption process. The organization truly cares about their dogs, making sure they get the best medical treatment and are placed in the right homes. There is no pressure in adopting the dogs so if you are only capable of committing a short amount of time, they express nothing but gratitude.
