The best pre-owned buying experience ever!…read more I spent weeks looking for a truck, going through the disgusting experience of talking to nearly a dozen "typical" used car salesmen, before I stumbled on an ad from Kachars in Monroe, MI. I sent Stan a long email with lots of questions, inquiring about the truck he had listed and to my surprise I received a thoughtfully written reply and detailed answers to ALL of my questions. We decided to make the two-hour drive to look at the truck and meet Stan. Within a few minutes of meeting him, I knew beyond a shadow of a doubt, I was going to buy my next truck from him. Not only is Stan a genuine stand-up guy, but he is also head and shoulders the most knowledgeable car guy I've ever met. He's spent nearly 40 years in the trenches, so it's no surprise that he knows his business inside and out and exactly how to find quality pre-owned vehicles. Best of all, his prices are fair and reasonable. He works with the best car detailers and mechanics in town and he will make sure you are happy with the vehicle you drive off in. Long story short, if you are fed up with the typical used car experience, GIVE STAN A CALL, I'm confident you'll be glad you did! THANK YOU, Stan, I'm thrilled with my truck, and you've earned a customer for life. God's blessing to you and your family and continued success!

They refused and said that mechanic did a thorough inspection and service. Front differential, (ring, pinion, bearings), hub, axle shaft bearing, and obviously 4WD all failed less than 3000 miles from purchase due to mud and water inside which they never noticed or serviced. Definitely never serviced vehicle properly in spite of recommended service intervals. EGR Cooler also plugged within same time frame - along with driveline u joints that failed and froze. Needed $7000 in work. Truck was driven hard off road prior to purchase without any service and/or involved in a flood. Even the most basic items like the fuel filters never were serviced. Ford recommends fuel filters be changed every 22k. The fuel filter on frame was dirty and nasty - probably hadn't been changed in a very long time. Definitely not at my purchase. Had to call multiple times to get license plate as they never sent out.... finally received after temp tags expired. Will you trust A1 or their mechanic knowing that he let all this go ? Hope I help someone else from making a very poor buying choice.

I've been feeling the pain of A1 Motors for over 6 years. This is not a smear against the company,…read morerather this is truth and I feel compelled to warn those who like me, were just looking to get on the road. In 2013... I had Zingerman's (Ann Arbor Restaurateurs) come to my farm with their brand new $100,000 tractor & plow up over 2 1/2 acres and get it ready for planting. I used to be a Chef and had several restaurants owned by friends lined up waiting for me to grow unique produce for them. I was also working for the Zingerman's Produce farm hence why they were helping set up our farm. Great business and business owners! I had an old rusty dusty Ram 2500 that broke down and I needed a new truck to run the farm. I needed to haul large loads, trailers and more to really build up the farm. So I drove down to A1 in Monroe and met with Rory? or something like that. They showed me a beautiful F350 with the Triton V10. Now I was hesitant as I wanted Diesel but the deal was pretty good and the truck was in a really great condition. I figured I could use it for a few years and sell it once we saw a ROI from the farm. Well I took it home and no title for 4 months. 4 MONTHS! I couldn't drive it on the road unless I was being followed by my wife since it was not registered and had no plates. We ended up having to scrap our entire farm project as I had no other truck to get to and from sites with. I should have gotten a lawyer and sued them for Fraud. If I only knew what I know now. I'm sure this has not happened to everyone but to those out there that have been burned by this unprofessional organization I feel for you. I lost the farm, couldn't do anything without a truck! Could not afford the payments as I had to go back to work in restaurants for next to nothing. Now I have a repossession on my Credit and I cannot, 6 years later, purchase ANYTHING! Even with my incredible income from the business I have now.

I had to stop for gas as these bums couldn't even put 10 bucks in the tank before selling it. Filled the tank and the truck wouldn't even start back up. I called the sales person, he drove over to give me a jump, and offered to replace the battery. So we did that. Next morn, same thing. Every time this thing attempts to start it struggles. Me not wanting to deal with problems on a vehicle I just paid $11,700 2 days prior or any future problems, I tried to return it. They denied the return. Mind you Im within the 3 day right of recession law.

After that we found a couple issues in that same car that just didn't set right with us for our family, but the experience was WONDERFUL. Spanky (and everyone here) was so kind and did literally everything they could in their power to make the sale a good experience. Everyone kept saying, "We want you to be happy." And it felt very genuine. They let us borrow the car for hours to have multiple mechanics check it out. They sent the car out for repairs when we found some issues. They were very nice and accommodating to my wife and kids. But at the end of the day, the car wasn't a good fit. I remember Spanky asking, "Is it a good car?" I replied, "Yes, yes it was. But it just wasn't for us." If you're looking for LOW-milage cars that have had some serious work done, this is the place to go.

I purchased a used 2022 GMC Terrain (24,576 miles) from The Nice Car Company on December 30, 2025…read more The vehicle was advertised as having passed a "100-point inspection." Within one month (January 26, 2026), the check engine light came on. Diagnosis: codes P0137 and P0500 -- O2 sensor replaced. On March 2, the check engine light returned with code P0500. At that time, the spark plugs were found to be fouled and black. Repairs included replacing the plugs, cleaning the fuel injection and throttle body, performing relearns, and adding fuel cleaner. By March 17 -- just 2.5 months after purchase and only ~1,300 miles driven -- the check engine light came on for a third time. I took the vehicle to a GMC dealership, where they diagnosed fouled spark plugs and an issue with cylinder 4. I was then informed the vehicle is experiencing engine failure and requires a complete engine replacement. For a low-mileage 2022 vehicle, this type of engine failure is unacceptable. I returned to the dealership after the second repair to request an exchange or refund and was dismissed. I was told "check engine lights come on all the time" and advised to continue driving the vehicle. After emailing to request a meeting with the owner, I received a phone call but was given the same response. I was told I had not taken the vehicle to the "correct" mechanic -- despite using a repair facility listed on their own website as approved for the extended warranty I purchased. Based on my experience, I strongly recommend getting an independent pre-purchase inspection and carefully reviewing the vehicle history before purchasing. I would not recommend The Nice Car Company due to this experience with engine failure and poor customer service.
