My name is Sonny P. of Michigan. My family went on vacation to Tennessee on May 7, 2025. On our way back to Michigan suddenly the car's break went down creating this grinding noise. I would not risk driving back with my family with a break problem. Thank God, we found this car shop. There was no available mechanic that time because its Saturday late afternoon raining and the last mechanic working was ready to leave the shop. We're in big trouble because it's getting late already and we're hungry. One of the men inside talked to the mechanic and after a while the mechanic approached me and said he will fix the car's problem. What a big relief! He said it would take 3hrs to do it because he has to order the parts and I agreed. We waited inside because it was raining until just when it passed only 1.5 hrs. and here came the man telling me Its done. It's quick! did not take 3 hrs. We we're very fortunate to locate this shop. The people inside Carr's auto were very friendly, accommodating, and ready to help. When I needed most their service that day they said YES and came to help. They also charged very fair price for their work. Thank you very much Carr's Auto. Keep up your excellent service and helping people. You saved our day, 5 stars for you. God Bless all of you and your business. read more

We were in Pigeon Forge for a week long celebration of our 46th anniversary. Our 2017 Lincoln MKC electrical system went completely dark at Tangers. My insurance company selected Carr's for a tow and I was asked to pick a destination so I said take it to the nearest Ford service center, which is what I would do if at home. While waiting I called Ford to let them know we were coming. They said they wouldn't take it, and any appointment would be weeks. The next closest dealer service center was in Knoxville. I called Carr's to let them know I didn't know where to go and he said they were also a locally owned auto garage and would take it if I wanted. I also said I needed a rental and he said they could do that also and he would send someone to pick me up. The rental was an older car but worked fine. Within 24hours they had picked me and my wife up, towed my suv, gave me a rental, checked our suv out (dead cell), accomplished approved repair (new battery), and had us back in our car. Very well priced including an unsolicited veteran's discount (he noticed my retired AF cap). Saved our vacation while the large dealership was going to do nothing for us. I wanted to thank Brandon and his crew here for what they for us!!! read more

Excellent Service and super fast reasonable repair!!! While down for youth football tournaments in Gatlinburg over the Thanksgiving holiday, we experienced some brake issue on my truck. My wife found Carr's info on Google and we gave them a call the day before Thanksgiving. They told us to bring it buy and they would work me in. Also they recommend Dunfee's Auto Rental to assist getting us transportation while waiting for a quote and repair time. Dunfee's drops off and picks up from Carr's. We had our truck in at Carr's by 11:30 am and by 4:30 pm the same day we had a complete brake job front and rear. Also the parts pricing was inline with the local auto parts stores. We enjoyed our rental car and Gatlinburg sites while the Carr's Team took care of the "dirty" work. Super happy that our trip was not ruined and the communication and professionalism of the Carr's Team was top notch. I cannot express enough gratitude to them for taking care of our "emergency" and treating us like a local. read more

As a visitor turned local, Carr's is THE BEST company in the area. I will gladly support this caring and compassionate business as long as I live here. I was treated with the utmost respect and kindness after a frightening accident left me stranded in the mountains. Brandon, the driver, even gave me a call a little later to check on me and make sure I had made it to work safely. With the help of a good Samaritan who stopped and stayed with me, Brandon towed my car out of a ditch and safely directed traffic and ensured the safety of everyone in the vicinity. He changed my tire and explained everything to me, and recommended local businesses for repair work. Tourists and locals alike will benefit from placing their trust in this company. Everyone from Carr's was polite, compassionate, and pleasant to work with during a stressful situation. For the price, the service, the quality of their work, and the genuine care they offer, I can't recommend Carr's enough. read more

We had a worst case automotive scenario on Sunday, Aug 2. My wife was away at art school and her car wouldn't start. Sunday afternoon and you need a car repair- who do you call? She called me, who did quick search and saw that Carr's AS & T was open. I described the problem, told them where she was, and they'd be there in an hour. Somebody gave a jump so she called to cancel the recovery truck and drove on to Carr's. They could have "misdiagnosed" the problem and taken advantage of a woman traveling alone to make a lot of money (it happens) but instead were honest and replaced the defective three year old battery. Since they carried the same brand they called me for the original receipt and pro-rated it, again, saving her more money. What could have been a really expensive day turned out to be an $80 fix. Everybody there was very polite and professional and it's nice to know that there are still honest shops out there. read more

We had just arrived in Pigeon Forge from Texas for a 7 day vacation with plans in Smoky Mountains. I noticed a clacking noise underneath my truck. I inspected the undercarriage and didn't find anything loose but noticed that the drive shaft was not centered in the support. I decided it would be best to have it inspected before driving out of town. It was Friday afternoon and luckily Carr's was open on Saturday. We arrived around 8:00 am and waited about an hour while they finished up a brake. They checked out my truck and found the carrier bearing was out along with the u-joint bearings. The parts were available in town and they told me it would be ready by noon but they were able to get it done by 11:00. They charged $450 for parts and labor which seemed reasonable. They saved our vacation and we made it home without any problems. I really appreciate them being open on the weekend. I highly recommend them. read more

Looks can be decieving! I am on vacation with my family. Radiator busted. A local waiter recommended Carr's Auto and said they are "the best". When I pulled up I saw a junkyard and thought why am I here. Totally misjudged. They were understanding of my dilemma being on vacation. Quickly diagnosed, found the problem, and finished me the same day. Mind you it's a Saturday and they stayed late. Highly recommend this shop. Ms. Kim and Bill will totally take care of you at desk. THANK YOU, Railroad P.S. Dennis your real good. If you ever move to GA and need a job look me up. read more

We were on vacation in Pigeon Forge and our vehicle broke down. Cars towing came out as soon as we called them. The wrecker driver advise us that he could try something and if it worked we could follow him to their shop and save a towing charge. It worked and we followed him there where they had a rental car till the next day. They repaired our vehicle the next day and the cost was very reasonable. I would not hesitate to recommend them or use them again. I felt they were very straight forward, honest with us. And let's face it, we were at their mercy. Great job. read more

Frightened, stranded with husband who has dementia, this service man Brandon was a true blessing and an answer to prayer. The tire was flat and as he removed it I heard him say, "Oh My Gosh I have never seen anything like this." He had ensured that we stayed safe in the car as he worked. But he asked me to come see this. It was a big wrench sticking out of my almost-new all-weather tire. He made sure everything was safe and answered all my questions with great care and courtesy. What a blessing! read more

We lost our alternator on the parkway on a Friday. Pulled into a random parking lot and called O'Reillys. They had the part, but we had no way to get there nor the tools to replace it. Went to google and Carr's was the first that came up. Tow showed up 5 minutes later (he was close by), O'Reillys sent the part over and they had us on the road within 2 hours start to finish! This could have cost us a lot of money, but we paid for the part and an hours labor. 200% would recommend them again. read more

We we're in town for vacation and had car trouble. They were highly recommended by the rental car place. They were true to their word, and these guys took great care of us and got us up and running on a Saturday! They called to update me and keep me in the loop on what they expected the problem to be and give an estimated labor time. I could not have been treated any nicer. I am truly pleased and thankful to these guys. read more

I arrived in the area late on a Friday with no AC and engine noises sounding like imminent engine failure. I called to bring the car in on Saturday morning. Assuming compressor failure, Brandon ordered the parts, which arrived on Saturday. Carr's changed out the compressor on Sunday, and I was able to depart for a five hour trip home on Monday as scheduled. Disaster averted. Amazingly quick service. read more

We were in Pigeon Forge from Missouri and I had some wheel noise that I was concerned about. They had two mechanics and the scheduler take it for a test drive and assured me it was not a wheel bearing or any safety concern. The were correct, we finished our vacation and are now home safe and sound. They also turned down my payment offer. Thanks so much guys! 10 stars if I could. Gary Griggs Raymore Mo. read more

This place is amazing. We were vacationing in Pigeon Forge when we started losing power steering fluid. We found Carr's online and gave them a call. They sent a truck to tow us in and 2 hours later we were on our way. Wow what great service and great people. We wish there was a Carr's in our hometown. Thank you for great customer service. We don't see this anymore. read more

We were visiting when we noticed the brakes on our ford f250 giving us problems. We called Carr's explaining we were leaving the next day pulling our camper back to florida. They told us to come right in. They did not overcharge. They had us back on the road in less than 2 hours. Great customer service. Thank you!!!! We made it safely home. Very honest garage. read more

I'll have to give Carr's a 5 star review. Had my car brought in and thought I was about to spend a decent chunk of change. That was not the case at all! Y'all had Dennis working in the office I talked to him while my car was getting worked on what a great guy. It was a pleasure doing business with y'all! read more

My alternator was going out just as we hit Gatlinburg, TN. I was able to buy the parts and drop it off at Carr's the night we arrived so they could work on it first thing in the morning. So beneficial having a wrecker service and auto repair all in one! They helped us still have an amazing vacation! read more
